⚠️ PSA for anyone shopping used Jeep Wranglers (especially 2012-2018 JKs with the 6-speed manual) ⚠️ After 6+ months of hunting I finally found what looked like the unicorn: • 2017 JK Rubicon (especially 2012-2018 JKs with the 6-speed manual) ⚠️ After 6+ months of hunting I finally found what looked like the unicorn: • 2017 JK Rubicon • 6-speed • < 32 k miles • one-owner, spotless CarFax. I drove 200+ miles to a NY dealership, test-drove it, and drove it home thinking I’d scored big. The reality, one week later: 🔧 My trusted local Jeep dealer + a top-notch transmission shop both confirmed the same hidden issue— Reverse gear pops out under load = NSG370 manual transmission needs replacement Cost of a reman unit + install? $5,000+ (and the part is often on back-order). FYI: this “reverse pop-out / synchro failure” is a known weak spot on 6-speed JKs and can show up well under 50 k miles. I fully expected 8-year-old wear items—ball joints, axle U-joints, etc.—and I’m fine upgrading those. But a stealth transmission failure on a 32 k-mile Rubicon? That’s not routine maintenance. 👉 Take-aways for fellow Jeep shoppers Always get a pre-purchase inspection by a shop you trust—even if the dealer is 200 miles away. If you’re buying a 2012-2018 6-speed JK, ask about reverse gear engagement and listen/feel for it popping out on a test drive. Budget or negotiate for a reman transmission if there’s any doubt (Powertrain, Jasper, etc.). “CPO” or “great CarFax” does NOT guarantee the driveline hasn’t been abused or band-aided. Not naming-and-shaming (yet), but I will say this dealership either missed the problem on trade-in…or sold it anyway. Buyer beware, friends—get it inspected before you sign. Feel free to share so the next Rubicon dreamer doesn’t learn the hard way like I did. #JeepJK #Rubicon #NSG370 #UsedCarLesson More
I gave this a 1 star review due to the great customer service given by Tuck! If I could give this dealership a 0 star, I would. I found a truck here on the lot that I'm in need of due to a rollover accid service given by Tuck! If I could give this dealership a 0 star, I would. I found a truck here on the lot that I'm in need of due to a rollover accident which totaled out my last truck. Anyways, I made the arrangements to fly from Michigan to New York and drive this truck home. When starting the finance process, I was refused the sale by the manager Vinny due to having a GM Discount which then used the excuse this car doesn't qualify (2025 GMC Yukon XL). After looking into it, this specific truck does qualify and they do accept this specific discount. After the many excuse of "why they can't"... this shows the reputation they care, the lack of the importance of clientele, they just want your money and discriminating. I would HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere.. Because what's next? The refusal to fix your vehicle right when it has a black and white warranty... Good job! More
Fast response, easy to work with, we loved how they broke down everything for us there was nothing hidden! down everything for us there was nothing hidden! More
BUYER BEWARE! !! Long story super short….I bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Brewster Ford the middle of March and it’s been in and out of the shop 5 times since th !! Long story super short….I bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Brewster Ford the middle of March and it’s been in and out of the shop 5 times since then (totaling just under 3 months in their possession being serviced). Back and forth between Brewster Ford and Meadowlands (same owner). Final straw was when Brewster Ford “fixed” the problem, Meadowlands gave it a full look over afterwards and they both sent me on my way….to which I lost control of the Jeep and went off the road by the bend on 311 & 164. Brought it back to meadowlands and after this full look over, they found that brewster ford put in the wrong parts when they “fixed” it. Clearly a lie that they even looked at it last time it was there, but I’m trying to keep this story short. Communication only exists after multiple attempts each day to reach them, never a even a call back. Frustrated is a huge understatement. After the back and forth since my jeep went in on Halloween, we finally towed the jeep out of meadowlands today, December 6th. All the workers at both brewster ford and meadowlands that we dealt with since this last catastrophe stated that if it was up to them, they would buy the jeep back, and one stated that he wouldn’t want his pregnant wife driving it either. Ultimately, from what the employees told us, the decision to not buy back the Jeep was made by none other than the owner himself, Ken Volz. Unless you want to be treated like garbage, I suggest you don’t buy any vehicle from Brewster Ford, Meadowlands of Carmel or Volz Auto in Yorktown. I don’t ever want to say “I told you so” or worse, have anything happen to any one of you because of their negligence! More
Julian was the best salesman that I ever had the pleasure of working with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. After the test drive we sa of working with. He wasn't pushy or overbearing and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. After the test drive we sat down and he went over all the benefits of purchasing a vehicle from Meadowland of Carmel. I was scheduled to do more test drives with other vehicles from other dealerships later on that week . But after sitting down and listening to him explain and share the benefits of purchasing a vehicle through Meadowland of Carmel. The choice was clear. So with Julians help I ended up purchasing a 2021 Ram Laramie Pickup Truck. More

CONSUMER BEWARE-I purchased 2 new cars from meadowlands that were awesome and recently in the past year bought a used car and paid for the warrenty. We were never told that the car came with an after marke that were awesome and recently in the past year bought a used car and paid for the warrenty. We were never told that the car came with an after market part that won’t be covered under warrenty. We had the car towed twice within a year for repairs to Meadowlands and was told it’s not covered under the warrenty since it’s an after market part yet we were sold the car that way. We inquired about this as it’s not fair.. We were told we can’t prove that it was not sold to us this way. Interesting since I purchased the full warrenty. Why would I put an after market part on if I paid in full for the warrenty? They said they can’t help us and now the car sits in my driveway for months. I went to another auto mechanic and they said legally they can’t fix it. I’ll never ever buy another car from Meadowlands they can’t be trusted! CONSUMER BEWARE More
