I liked that McRee puts prices on their used vehicles. I like that there is no pressure to buy. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. David told us someone else was interested in it but we didn’t listen. So I asked him to look for an Explorer Limited. I went on line and found one myself and called him to tell him we would be in that night. He had already left to go to the doctor and he would have Bert another sales person to call us. Bert called and said he would have the vehicle ready when we arrived. It was ready and we test drive it. We agreed we wanted the Explorer and when we arrived back at McRee I went in and told Bert that we wanted it. Bert walked to the managers desk, came back with a buyers order and handed it to me. I asked if we were going to negotiate and he said they may come down $1000 but the vehicle was so new in their inventory that it hadn’t been though service yet. They would hold it for us and contact us when they were ready to close. When we finally came back Bert took us to meet Brian in finance. Brian showed us a bunch of options and none were acceptable. Bert said our credit union had an offer but we needed to put $5800 down. So we told Brian we wanted to use ACU but we had to have GAP because that is what saved us on the last vehicle we totaled. So we closed on the vehicle, signed all the paperwork and drove off. That was on Aug. 27th. Today the 29th I received a call from Bert saying that GAP wasn’t included in our contract. Be good news is that we purchased for less than market value. Switch isn’t true, we bought down the market value. I asked him what happens when it isn’t below market value? He said we can get GAP through ACU. I feel we were misled, I will be talking to a lawyer. More
