I have always bought Nissans and was a firm believer in their product. However, after this experience I will never buy another Nissan and the only recommendation that I will give anyone when it comes to Mc their product. However, after this experience I will never buy another Nissan and the only recommendation that I will give anyone when it comes to McNeil Nissan is to run the other way. In October 2022, I bought a 2023 Platinum Nissan Pathfinder. I was super excited about the car until I took it in for its 10,000 mile service. What was supposed to be a quick visit turned into a 4 hour wait. I was informed that the battery in the Pathfinder charge was low and that they needed to run an hour long test on it. After this test they reported that they were replacing the battery. As I was leaving the dealership the service manager shared with me that they are seeing problems with the batteries in the new Pathfinders not holding a charge and they are having to warranty a lot of batteries out. However, there was nothing he could do because Nissan hadn't acknowledged the problem or issued a recall. His solution was to bring the car by weekly to have the battery checked. This was obviously unacceptable. I spent a lot of money on what I thought was a reliable car, not something that needed to be checked on weekly to make sure it would not leave my family stranded. I ended up trading the car with 10k miles on it. Fast forward to today. I am currently waiting for McNeil Nissan to process the refund on the extended warranty and GAP insurance that I bought on the car. I sent in all the requested paperwork on June 1st to Angie McNeil in accounting. I found out this afternoon by calling the extended warranty company and GAP insurance that Angie still has not submitted the paperwork from June 1st. This explains why she has ignored my multiple emails and phone calls. The combined cost for the warranty and GAP insurance was over $5,000. I understand this is a lot of money to lose a commission on, but it is not theirs to keep. I also called and spoke with the finance manager, Edward Garvin, today and explained the situation. He stated that Angie was in the office and attempted to transfer the call to her. I tried to ask him not to transfer the call to her but he was so quick to dismiss my concerns that he didn't give me a chance to say anything. Of course, the call went to voicemail with no response. I have waited patiently for McNeil Nissan to reply to me. I really did not want to leave a negative review, but I have no other option. They refuse to acknowledge me. It really makes me think that this is a struggling car dealership. Look at their empty lot and their service department that is only open every other weekend. I am at a loss for words and quite frankly feel that they have stolen my money. More

Best Service Yet! I stopped in for just an oil change, but the team did more than that. Thank you for taking the time to really look at my car and notice damage and a leak that could have been detrimental if not caught. I'm almost at my 60k warranty and the upcoming repair is still covered by the warranty. Thank you for taking care of me and my car, especially since another dealership I recently visited did not catch this issue ahead of time. I am now a permanent customer while living in the high country. More
Highly Recommend, Exceptional Service and Awesome Employee's I wish there were more than 5 stars to represent the AMAZING service I received. I bought a used Altima from another dealer and less than 48 hours lat I wish there were more than 5 stars to represent the AMAZING service I received. I bought a used Altima from another dealer and less than 48 hours later, it started making an unpleasant noise up front. I called McNeill Nissan to ask the service department about the noise and spoke with Service Manager Jason Bumgarner. Once I explained the issue, Jason told me to bring it in and he would fix the issue he thought it was for FREE even though I did not buy he car from McNeill. Once I took it in and it was assessed, Jason advised he thought I should take the car back and even walked me through the garage so I could take pictures of the issue, (heat shield was split open and manifold had to be cut off and new parts would have to be installed), and he even wrote me a note with what needed to be done to provide to the dealer, (CarMax), with his name and phone number in case they had any questions. I was not comfortable with this so I went in and explained the issue to a gentleman, (who I learned later was the owner of McNeill's), and wanted to see if I could get something worked out to buy a car from them instead. He said "absolutely" and then introduced me to Sharis. Sharis was VERY nice, courteous, professional, extremely knowledgeable and most of all not pushy to make a sale. I test drove another Altima SR that was newer and ended up buying it the same day. The entire process with Sharis was transparent and so easy and she took time to answer every question I had. Once all the papers were signed, she had the car filled with gas and she and the owner met me at the car where I thought I was done. Sharis and the owner walked the car and said it was not cleaned enough, even though it was just cleaned and detailed moments prior and said they needed it detailed again as it needed to be "right off the showroom floor". As I waited for the car to be detailed a second time, I tried to make arrangements for my husband to meet me so we could take the new Altima home and return the defective Altima back to CarMax. I was not able to reach my husband and Sharis over heard this and offered to take the new Altima to my home for me so I could, 1.) Have the car right away and 2.) so I could start my trip back to CarMax in Winston. I told Sharis I did not want her to go out of her way to bring the new car to my home but she insisted it was no trouble at all and would bring by my house after her shift ended at 7 and would also text me once it was there. I left McNeill Nissan around 5:45pm incredibly thankful and amazed at the service I had received and started for Winston. At 6:25pm, Sharis texted me and informed me my new car was already at my home earlier than expected! Sharis also took care of getting my insurance switched to my new car as well and this was the first thing she did the next morning too. McNeill Nissan went above and beyond to help me in a time of need and I still can't thank them enough for everything. On top of it all, I also got a heck of a deal on the new car and my monthly payments and interest rate were lower than the older car from CarMax!!! Everyone was so kind and genuine and you can tell they really care about their customers. The car is fantastic and runs and look PERFECT!! I will definitely be back and am now a life-long customer of theirs. I encourage everyone to go to McNeill Nissan for ALL future business!! THANK YOU AGAIN SHARIS AND MCNEILL NISSAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The General Manager, Alex Barletta is awful. I came in there late one afternoon with a bad situation. Basically my car was beyond repair or at least that's what they told me. After haggling for hours, I f there late one afternoon with a bad situation. Basically my car was beyond repair or at least that's what they told me. After haggling for hours, I finally left around 10 pm with a new used truck. The young man whom sold me the truck was nice enough and very helpful but his manager, Alex, I didn't like from the very beginning. He is your typical, pushy, in-your-face salesman but I had to deal with him. Through Auto Trader's forms, I found out later, I was charged $6000 over the asking price on a similar vehicle. I called to speak with the sales rep i originally worked with and he would tell me what I wanted to hear and claim he would call me back and of course never follow through. I was finally put on the phone with Alex and he all but told me to go to xxxx. This man is horrible and so is the dealership for having him work there. The Manager over parts and service, Jeff is very nice. Don't use this dealership. More
As long as I have ever traded traded cars, I have never had this happen to me. After talking to Mark taking a test drive and then let the haggling begin, which as a potential buyer, for me is fun! And this had this happen to me. After talking to Mark taking a test drive and then let the haggling begin, which as a potential buyer, for me is fun! And this is what I was having. It is a chalenge to me to get the best price I can get from a dealer! Through this whole process Mark was very helpful and kind, understanding what I was doing. He calls me to inform me I can purchase the unit for the price the sales mgr agreed to. Which was great. I felt I had won the battle and just needed to win the war with one more push of $200. As I am leaving another lot to drive to Wilkesboro, Mark calls me back to inform me that Wilkes Nissan will have to go back on there word and not sale the unit for that price, per the GM, Alex Barletta. What I don't understand is how the sales mgr can come to a price and call the customer and then back away. I am a man of his word, and will take another mans word to heart. I know one thing, I will never step foot into Wilkes Nissan again! And will let other friends and family know what happened. Nothing like word of mouth advertisement! So, Mr. Barletta if you can treat customers like this, good luck in your sales, if I can find anyone higher up than you, I will send this to them also! If it really matters to you. More
