I wish I could remember what site led me to call McLaughlin Subaru about a used Outback I saw advertised. I had been searching for weeks but had been unsuccessful at finding what I was looking for, McLaughlin Subaru about a used Outback I saw advertised. I had been searching for weeks but had been unsuccessful at finding what I was looking for, this particular Outback checked off all the boxes. My hopes were quickly dashed when Matt Truitt answered the phone and told me the Outback was sold. I was so disappointed. Like any good salesman, Matt began telling me what used vehicles they had in stock. At first, my disappointment subdued my interest, but the more he talked the more I began listening. My heart was set on a Subaru, it just hadn’t decided if it was an Outback or a Crosstrek. I had driven both and loved both. I lived 95 miles away so it would have to be the perfect car for me to drive the distance. I was a newbie car buyer and quickly established a rapport with Matt. His knowledge of Subarus and his willingness to take the time to show me cars by sending me videos was very much appreciated. He provided me with various scenarios; new car versus used, options to consider, etc. In spite of my indecisiveness, he was patient and never pushy. I really trusted him, even though I kept reminding myself that he wanted to sell a car. :) It didn’t matter, I believed in him and really felt he had my back. I decided to buy a new 2023 Crosstrek. At the same time my sister, who lives in Colorado was also looking for a car. My experience with Matt was so wonderful I recommended that she call him to see if he could do anything for her. He found her a new Subaru Legacy and she was ready to make arrangements to come purchase it but developed medical problems that prevented her from making such a large purchase. If in the future she buys a car, she will definitely look him up. She felt the same way I did about him, just an all-around great person. I would also like to acknowledge Mike Morales who helped me with my financing. He worked with me to get the car and payments I needed to drive my beautiful 2023 Crosstrek home. I appreciate the time he took with me. He is also a very nice addition to your team. I felt like I need to take time to recognize Matt for being trustworthy, smart and hardworking. He did this with personality and wit. It made my buying experience fun! If ever I know someone looking for a car, I will send them to Matt Truitt at McLaughlin Subaru. I hope he will still be there so he can help them find their dream car off your lot and if not, I am confident that your other associates will be great too!
