Incompetence If your Nissan vehicle has aftermarket parts installed (such as adjustable suspension parts) do yourself a favor and take it elsewhere. The mechanic If your Nissan vehicle has aftermarket parts installed (such as adjustable suspension parts) do yourself a favor and take it elsewhere. The mechanic who performed the alignment on my 1990 300ZX did not know how to manipulate the parts in order to properly set the camber on the front wheels. Needless to say I was charged over $400 for an alignment that was still too far out of factory specifications for the car to be drivable without chewing the tires up in a matter of a few miles. The Z was brought in on a trailer and left the same way because of the incompetence. I normally take the car to Sherwood Tire Pros but their alignment machine was down and I needed the work done that day. I figured a reputable Nissan service center would suffice. More
