Seriously this place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Horrible customer service and staff don't know what they are doing. AC had issue so I called them to make the appointment for Saturday because I Horrible customer service and staff don't know what they are doing. AC had issue so I called them to make the appointment for Saturday because I have work on weekdays. I did inform the exact issue and they said bring it in on Saturday. Arrived on Saturday and they said no they don't check those issues on Saturday but to only perform basic work. If that's the case why you allow me to bring the car in when I had already told you the problem up front. Anyhow, I took a day off from work just to bring the car back in. Arrived and I showed the service advisor the video clip of the problem and she didn't bother to look but said the technician will check the car out. At the end they said no issue was found. Needless to say, a few months from then, the problem is still happening. I called them again informing the issue and asked if they can check on Saturday and they said yes Saturday is fine. I asked her "are you sure you guys checking those issues on Saturday?" She put me on hold and came back saying "No". Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else. More
I am no longer a customer at McKenna in Cerritos why horrible customer service. I called to schedule a appointment to take in my car for service. They recommended for me to take in my car a day before horrible customer service. I called to schedule a appointment to take in my car for service. They recommended for me to take in my car a day before my scheduled appointment to have it service first thing in the morning. I received a email to confirm the appointment. Dropping off my car I was told that they were not going to work on my car until the end of the following week. Why give customers inaccurate information!!! More
Horrible experience with trying to buy a car at this dealership. They want to charge $3000 over the value of internet price on a used 2020 used Jetta. They said its for service they done to the car. I h dealership. They want to charge $3000 over the value of internet price on a used 2020 used Jetta. They said its for service they done to the car. I had found a 2021 Jetta that was brand new with no service done to it. After waiting 25 minutes I was told by Hossain they needed to charge me $3000 more because he just got that vehicle in. He agree they did not have any add ons to the vehicle but indicated dealer adjustment. Hossain gets mad then answers his phone and walks off the lot into the show room. Very unprofessional and lack of class when they can't scam you. Stay away if don't want to pay for fake markup of paint of $3000. More

The sales associate (Hossain) was getting irritated and upset during the time we were discussing numbers and as soon as we let him know we couldn't make a deal he Basically just walked off didn't say a word just Nodded his head and tossed a paper in the trash. I went to go and thank the manager and to let him know I didn't appreciate the service we had he replied he was "busy working" and threw his hands up now it makes even more sense why the assosiates behave the way they do based off how management acted. Do not come to this dealership. More
My first contact with the dealership the agent said the car couldn’t be sold because it was a customer delivery and was posted online by mistake. When I asked to speak to management they changed their stor car couldn’t be sold because it was a customer delivery and was posted online by mistake. When I asked to speak to management they changed their story and said the vehicle was already sold. Sounds like a bait and switch tactic. More

Hope Danny McKenna is reading cause I want a job with him. Apparently his sales staff is doing so well financially that they have no need to get back to anyone. Hate to throw anyone under the bus but him. Apparently his sales staff is doing so well financially that they have no need to get back to anyone. Hate to throw anyone under the bus but I called about a car. Been through 3 sales people and a message to the floor manager that has not been returned. What I'll write next is totally true and anyone at McKenna will attest that it really happened. Was told by salesperson 1 that car would not be available for a few days as it was getting detailed. Called later that day to confirm who I spoke with and salesperson 1 said the car was available and was detailed. Never called me on this. Had I not called I would have never knew. Then handed me to another associate who we will call salesperson 2. Was about to drive to dealership and see the car but was now told by salesperson 2 it was getting a smog test. Not available till after 4pm. I also mentioned the price was crossed out online and asked about the price which was also never confirmed. Then today I get a text from Salesperson 2 at 10AM that says "I am going to check on this car for you". It is now 1:30PM.....3 1/2 hours later and nothing. Now you'll LOVE this a new test, We will call this person Salesperson 3. This person tells me how busy everyone is and all that. I call him and he is walking to the car. He confirms it is available. Meanwhile salesperson 2 finally texts me after I tell her I am leaving a message with the floor manager that the car failed the smog test. Of course I don't tell this to salesperson 3. Now get this....Salesperson 3 wants to be honest and tells me the price of any car is $2280 more at McKenna. He explains it as some BS McKenna protection program. So this 2004 car priced at 5988 is really 8268! BNTW it was once prices at $9400. At this point I am wondering if I'm on a hidden camera or something. I've been buying cars for 30 years and this one is for my kid and I have never gone through anything like this and I thought I've seen it all. BUT WAIT.... I just got a call back from salesperson 3 who thinks I'm another buyer as he asks me when I can come in to see a 2019 car. He leaves his personal cell. I text him saying I got his message and I'm ready to come in as soon as possible. After an hour of no replies I text again. I text again after 2 hours. It is now the next day and NOTHING! So Danny McKenna....Please hire me. Your people must be selling something to somebody as I am reading 100 reviews basically saying the same thing I have experienced. Can't wait to hear the reply to this review. Update- now it goes full circle as I get avtext from salesperson 1. I’m told car did not pass smog test and is no longer for sale. I ask him what happens to cars that don’t sell. I’m told “I don’t know’. Then I mention that this car has been for sale since October, how is it possible that after 2 and a half months for sale this car is now getting smog tested? I’m sure you can guess....no reply. More
Went today to look at a car for my daughter. Settled on the trade and the price. On the contract there is a fee for paint protection for $695. This was literally the last piece of paper that was to be si the trade and the price. On the contract there is a fee for paint protection for $695. This was literally the last piece of paper that was to be signed. Never saw this $695 fee or negotiated it so I wanted to know why it was on the contract at the last minute. The sales person said “we disclose this on our website”. When I asked for the manager he said that it was disclosed and it must have “gotten by” me. This is a used car and it was originally sold at this dealership so if it is on every car they sell already I am not sure why it would need to be applied again? I asked for the work order showing this was applied to the car and when and the manager said it “is applied automatically when they take the car in”. He offered to reapply it so we could see it was applied. If you are reading this, think about that for a moment. If it is worth $695 why would the dealership want to reinvest that money on a car it was already on? The manager said we could not make a deal without it so I just grabbed my kid and left. She was crying because we were literally down to the last signature and it was hard to do but I just can’t let her think this is ok. We settled on a price and the price was not +$695. This turned into a waste of almost 3 hours. More
Dishonest practices Very disappointed started off to be a good experience that changed. Had to pay $650 for paint protection. They did disclose it in the ad. Essentially Very disappointed started off to be a good experience that changed. Had to pay $650 for paint protection. They did disclose it in the ad. Essentially this made the actual price of the car higher. When it got to financing Eddie told us we had to go through a partner finance company. The rates seemed high 6,5%, used car. Navy Federal, (rate 3.95%). He said the loan had to be in place 90 days before I could refinance. Not true, the dealership would lose their incentive under 90 days. He said if I paid cash the price of the car would be higher. Mr. McKenna sent us a text asking about the experience. He said it was his personal cellphone. Made me Think he would call personally. I described the events above. He passed on the Complaint to Devin Smith. Devin called and I voiced my displeasure. He would see if I could Get some compensation. Said he would call back by end of business. Here it’s 3 days later. No call back. More
