The reason for this is the fact that I was approved through Roadloans and was so excited to get out from under the mistake that I made, I went. My reason for admitting this now, is that I did not know that it was not a Roadloans partnership dealer. After informing them of my pre-approval - after which I should have been told that they were not a partnership dealer - the first person that I spoke with convinced me to agree to a credit app because they could definitely get a lower interest rate for me - another mistake. I was "handed over" to a salesman who seemed very interested in the reason for my wife not being willing to be on a car loan with me - which frankly was none of his business and should not have mattered anyway because I reiterated my pre-approval. Keep in mind, I provided full disclosure about the details of my trade in from the very beginning. I was also given a rousing welcome "Welcome to the McGrath family!" Iobviously took a test drive and loved the car. Then I was conveniently told that the car could not be financed due to its age - a 2009 Toyota Prius. This is something else that I should have been told. Then after almost walking out, the boisterous welcomer offered to"Throw A Hail Mary" and get me approved on another vehicle. I explained that I had no money for a down payment Sure enough, it was a resounding NO. This place is a joke!!! More

This is the seventh Volvo our family has purchased through Barrington Volvo over the past decades. Having moved well outside the area several years ago, our trip to the dealership required a four hour drive, which in our minds still remained a no-brainer, as we would’ve driven double that to deal with Franz. As anticipated, the staff at Barrington Volvo was astounding and made the visit seamless, pleasurable and friendly. Franz (junior, in this case) went well beyond what is anticipated of an auto dealer: the procurement and self-delivery of our out-of-state license plates, the preprogramming of the radio with not only Chicago area stations but of those within the area of our residence, contacting our insurance company to make note of the cars safety features (which leads to reduced rates) and taking as much time necessary for us to feel at comfort within our new car. These and other reasons are what have in the past brought us to Barrington Volvo and will continue to bring us back for future purchases or leases. My wife and I highly recommend Barrington Volvo to those considering a purchase or lease of one of these awesome cars.
