We are on our 4th car from McGrath Lexus. We've considered many cars over the years, but I think one of the reasons we keep on going back to McGrath is the people. From sales to service, everyone there treats us wonderfully. We've bought all 4 cars from Steve Gibson, and I wouldn't buy from anyone else. He's always looked out for us, and couldn't be nicer. The service department is always quick and efficient, and are ready with a loaner car if we need it. The expanded dealership is wonderful...I actually don't mind waiting for my car as they provide you with many lounge areas, a cafe and computer stations. I highly recommend McGrath Lexus to anyone looking for great vehicle. Be sure to ask for Steve! More
Mel Owens was a complete professional that gave me superb customer service. He went out of his way to answer all of my questions and I can provide a long list at times. This is our third Lexus from McGrath, and Alisa has kept in touch with us through the years. She knew my lease wasn't up until next February, but also knew we were considering new cars sooner than that. I h in touch with us through the years. I had looked at other cars/dealers last year with my daughter, but no one else has the service & amenities that McGrath does ! Once you are used to the luxury of Lexus, you can't go back ! So we leased another RX350, and I'm extremely happy with it, and look forward to many more years of driving pleasure. D Clarke More
I recently visited McGrath Lexus in Westmont and worked with a salesman named Mel Owens. I was looking for a fully loaded RX350 and there were only a few in the Chicago area according to my internet resea with a salesman named Mel Owens. I was looking for a fully loaded RX350 and there were only a few in the Chicago area according to my internet research. Mel Owens said he had one on his lot and offered me $700 off of the MSRP price and gave me a mediocre value on my trade in. We worked out a monthly payment and I was not satisfied that I was getting the best deal. When I asked Mel for more money on the trade in, he said no. When I asked for a better discount, he said “the price is the price” and said he couldn’t go lower. When I asked for a better rate on the loan, he said 2.9% was his best offer. He did say, however, that if it came down to a few hundred bucks difference between him and another dealer, he could probably get it to close the deal. He also warned me that “someone else was coming to buy the car tonight if I didn’t buy it.” (The usual high pressure sales tactics by bad car salesmen). I wanted to buy the car from Mel, but knew the deal wasn’t good. I asked him if he would match a competitor’s offer if I brought one to him and he said NO and that this was his final price, give or take a couple hundred bucks. I knew I could do better so I checked with several other dealers in the area and found the exact same car (different color), and I got more for my trade, a lower price on the car, and a better rate on the loan! This translated to about $30/month difference in price, so we bought the car elsewhere. Mel Owens called me today to ask where I was at on my purchase decision and I informed him that I went in another direction. When he asked the details I told him, and then he very nastily went on a long rant accusing me of “using” him to get ammunition to leverage a better price with another dealer. He said that I lacked integrity and never had any intention if buying from him. Before I knew it, we were both raising our voices and talking over one another. He said he would have matched the offer, which is the exact opposite of what he told me when he was trying to pressure me into buying the car from him the day before. The truth is that I gave him every opportunity to sell me the car, even though I was shopping around. He was extremely unprofessional and definitely did not give me a good deal on the front end. He thinks he deserved a second look , which demonstrates a total lack of respect for my time. He thinks I didn’t have the right to see if a better deal existed out there. The dealership is nice, but their motto “When you do the math, you choose McGrath” is waaay off. And their hold music states that they treat you like a close friend when you’re a guest at their dealership….ummm… no way. I would avoid McGrath Lexus in Westmont at all costs, but if you do end up there, watch out for Mel Owens. He didn’t give me any kind of deal and then insulted my personal character because I chose to buy from someone who gave me the better deal. How incredibly unprofessional. More

We were looking for a used Lexus RX350 with low mileage and at a fair price. We purchaesd a Lexus IS250 a couple years ago from Abe at McGrath Lexus in Westmont and was happy with that experience.
