They were able to provide the service that I originally came in for but when a situation arose where there was something wrong with the car because of something that Honda service did and not anything that I did or that the car did on it’s own but a Honda service that made a mistake, they refused to pay for it and said I would have to pay for their mistake at an outrageous price. They told me if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for their mistake or call another dealership. So I called the dealership at valley Honda in Aurora and they took care of everything. They picked up my car from my own home so I didn’t have to waste more of my time, they fixed the honest mistake that was made by Honda and I didn’t have to pay a dime. They texted me and called me continuously with updates and dropped my car back to my house same day. Now that’s how to take care of a customer. Go to the valley Honda in Aurora because the McGrath dealership didn’t help me at all when the problem arose. this really shows what kind of business they are running compared to the other Honda dealership. I’m just being honest of how the situation played out. They could have handled the situation differently and they didn’t. More
Awful customer service. He even try to fight with me when I came next time to ask for help. Long story short, basically they do not care about your car once you buy from them. All they care about is sales but not customer service. Stay away from them. More

Great sales, but stay a way from service department I purchased a brand new car at Mc Grath Honda of St. Charles on 2012. The buying experience was great until we bought car. After they got our money an I purchased a brand new car at Mc Grath Honda of St. Charles on 2012. The buying experience was great until we bought car. After they got our money and closed the deal the troubles started with the service department. Usually I'm not a negative person and never spend time for negative comments or reviews. They installed a remote starter and alarm but t never worked properly and after trying a few months to fix the issue we gave up and they removed it. We got a new alarm from a different mechanic shop that worked perfectly. We started having a issue with starting the car after a year. We went to the service department a few times, but they weren't able to find the problem. After a few attempts they told us that there is an electric drain from the alarm. We took the car and went to a different mechanic shop to check the issue and they didn't find anything wrong with the electric system. In the mean time continued to not to start sometimes. We went back to the dealer for another check on the car they replaced the battery and tore out the remote starter and the alarm without even calling us and making sure that is fine. Thank god everything was free, covered under the car warranty. But they didn't fix the problem and today -12/03/2016 after more than four years and spending hours and days of going back and forward, the technician Michael Palmer was so rude and uncooperative he even told that I was wasting his time and he isn't going to make any free diagnostics, the problem is again in the battery. But it is not worth their time anymore because my car is four years old and there is no more warranty. My suggestions to every body if you have money and time to spend go to Mc Grath Honda of St. Charles or otherwise stay away. More
Terrible service, but great sales people Bought a brand new 2015 from McGrath. Has been in the service Dept once a month since last June for 3 separate problems that they can't figure out. My Bought a brand new 2015 from McGrath. Has been in the service Dept once a month since last June for 3 separate problems that they can't figure out. My fiancé is a mechanic and knows what's wrong but they refuse to listen to him. One more visit to the service department and this Crosstour will be a LEMON. I'm sick of paying for a brand new car I can't drive and is constantly getting fixed for the same reasons that the service department doesn't know how to fix. Please get your xxxx together McGrath. Was planning on buying another Honda at first, but not anymore. Back to GM I go! More

Seven, 7, return trips and three months later, I hope they've finally fixed my car correctly. Each time it needed to go back because coolant and oil were continuing to leak from the engine. It took a visit to my private mechanic to locate the leak. My mechanic printed a picture of the engine and drew an arrow where the Honda mechanic could find the leak and fix it. More

I absolutely I've been going to McGrath St Charles for the past 11 years for all of my car maintenance needs. The only person I ask for is Thom Koch. I absolutely trust him with my Honda Accord. He is very knowledgeable and is very honest when it comes for me to understand what type of minor or major repairs need to be done on my vehicle. My car is still running smoothly at 195,000 miles and I bought it new at 11 miles in April 2004. I highly recommend Thom Koch!!! More

My wife and I took my 2013 Honda Pilot in because it was shaking when the car got up to 70MPH. When i went in TJ Taylor told me since the Illinois law is 60 MPH all he can do is balance the tires and make s shaking when the car got up to 70MPH. When i went in TJ Taylor told me since the Illinois law is 60 MPH all he can do is balance the tires and make sure nothing is loose. I looked at him just dumb-founded he had just said this to me. I still decided to leave the car there and have them at least make sure the balance was good. I called two hours later and was told the car was ready. I picked it up and two days later was on the highway and same thing again, felt the vibration on the steering wheel at 70MPH. I decided at this time i will call the Schaumburg Honda and have them take a look. But before i did that i happened to be at my other mechanics place getting my other car oil changed, and i told him about my Honda issue and told him what they supposedly did at the dealers. My wife was picking me up and he looked at the wheels and told me off the bat that nothing had been done. The original weights when car rolled of the line were still on the car. The next day my wife went to Schaumburg Honda and they took a look at the car, they confirmed that nothing had been done to the car. The balance was off. Schaumburg Honda actually even test drove the car and took it up to 90 MPH and when my wife told him what McGrath Honda had told her, he said that's BS and they are suppose to always test drive the car whenever they do wheel work! I will never ever trust McGrath dealers again! More
