The McGrath Automotive Group was founded in 1964. Leo McGrath purchased McBride Buick in Elgin, Illinois after working with Buick Motor Division as a District Sales and Service Manager. His son, Gary McGrath, began working for him at a young age experiencing every aspect of the automotive business. In 1971 Gary purchased the Buick Franchise from Leo and a few years later opened his first Honda dealership next door. Honda in St Charles was later added to better serve the west suburbs. We continue to pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect and honesty.

We purchased a new HR-V with Alex and we couldn’t be happier! We felt very taken care of and welcome every step of the way, and he helped us with everything we needed in order to make the right decision happier! We felt very taken care of and welcome every step of the way, and he helped us with everything we needed in order to make the right decision in our new car hunt. We are pretty novice when it comes to all the features the newest cars have to offer, but Alex readily explained everything we wanted to know and was extremely kind and understanding.
