dont waste your time I was looking to buy a used highlander and found a 2015 at McGrath city Honda listed for an okay price ($35k)I corresponded with the "online sales ass I was looking to buy a used highlander and found a 2015 at McGrath city Honda listed for an okay price ($35k)I corresponded with the "online sales associate " and inquired if the price was firm or if they would negotiate the price to which she responded that no reasonable offer would be refused. I asked if they would take $32k and she said it sounded reasonable. I asked about the condition and she said it was in great condition so I decided to make the hour trip in to inspect and hopefully buy a SUV. I set up a time to come in and was there on time... This is where it all went bad. I had to wait 20 minutes for the online sales associate to meet with me, then waited another 15 minutes for another actual sales associate.(as the online associate apparently just baits people in) It then took another 15 minutes for them to get the SUV and when I finally got to it, the SUV was filthy (inside and out) was covered in snow, and obviously hadn't been touched in a while. There were multiple dents to the exterior along with a gouge in the chrome trim around the rear driver side window. Inside, the SUV had multiple stains, numerous scratches, and two broken trim prices. Needless to say it was not in "great condition". They then jerked me around with my trade in (2008 pilot) and when it came time to talk price they said there is no way they could do $32k. Bottom line, they lied and wasted half of my day. Do NOT go here. I can not stress this enough, the people I felt with were dishonest and disrespectful. Do NOT go here; don't waste your time More

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! BAD EXPERIENCE!!!Carl was the guy I talked to.Last week I bought a CR-V.First thing we did was the interest rate that I agreed with Carl and then he g BAD EXPERIENCE!!!Carl was the guy I talked to.Last week I bought a CR-V.First thing we did was the interest rate that I agreed with Carl and then he gave me a discount of $400 of the car that had internet price of $20950.I asked Carl about the Gap insurance and he told me that it's gonna be additional $4 a month. When he brought the paper work I noticed that it was $9 a month instead of $4 which is not a big deal.Carl said that he was sorry for his mistake and I was ok with it.Carl send me to the finance guy and I just suppose to sign the papers.Carl told me that I do not have to put any down payment since I'm doing trade-in.Carl did another mistake and he put it $1500 down payment in the paperwork and finance guy had to print out the paperwork again. After few minutes Carl came back and he said that he made another mistake and my monthly payment gonna be extra $8 a month witch I refused to pay.My pregnant wife was there with me and after being there for over 3 hours we got tired and really confused. When we got home my wife noticed that street address is wrong and I told her to check the rest of the contract. It was stating that I paid $21750 for the car instead $20500.Another Carl's mistake or it seems that mistake is Carl's strategy to confuse the customers. My wife is giving a birth next month and she's really stressed out cause all that extra money we have to pay.She tried to talk to Carl but he is doing everything to avoid the responsibility.REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! Horrible uninformed people in the service department and Hon Horrible uninformed people in the service department. Here is the story I went in the for recalls and to fix my SRS light which was caused by a defect Horrible uninformed people in the service department. Here is the story I went in the for recalls and to fix my SRS light which was caused by a defective seat belt buckle. A little backstory on the car the car has a salvaged title and I knew that. I have mentioned it to the service writer before I signed anything and any work was done on the vehicle. After about two hours of having my car in service I get a call that the car is done and ready for pickup, what the service writer Ali forgot to mention to me is that there was a 135$ bill that was waiting for me along with my keys. I knew before service that if anything wasn't covered under the warranty I would have to pay the diagnostic time. However when I got there I was told that all the recalls were done but the seat belt buckle was not and that I have to pay the diagnostic fee. I asked why exactly was this not covered and he said it was because the salvaged title that's when I asked why didn't he inform me right away that it was not going to be covered because of a salvaged title since as stated previously I informed him about the salvaged title prior signing or having any work done. The bill quickly dropped down to 66$. I was real upset that I had to pay anything at all! I called Honda of America (HOA) as soon as I got to my house. I've dealt with a customer service representative who transferred me to a warranty specialist from both of these Honda corporate employees I received the same speech as the service writer car is not covered due to the salvaged title. I was very unhappy with what I was being told especially when I did my research beforehand and on page 12 of 2002 Honda Civic warranty booklet is says that they are covered. I opened up a case with HOA and was awaiting the response. A day later I receive a phone call from Sheren ext 117754. She says that it will not be covered under warranty since the title is salvaged. I was so angry, frustrated and tired at that point I responded saying "Page 12" she in a very confused voice replied "What?" I told her "Page 12 of the 2002 Honda Civic Warranty Information handbook. She then put me on hold and told me that the claim is going to be revised and that I will receive a phone call from her shortly. Well that wasn't the case. I waited about a week to receive anything from her. I left her at least 4 messages and even spoke to one of her coworkers just to find out that she was on a vacation! I was so aggravated because while she is on a vacation I am driving a car that has no functioning airbags! About 3 weeks later I get a phone call from Sheren that the dealership will "goodwill" the part for me and I should schedule an appointment. I got real angry when she said "goodwill" because she said it with such a smug voice like she was doing my some kind of a charity. I asked her what I get for all my headaches incontinence and being forced to drive a car without airbags because of the lack of knowledge that the dealership as well as the the employed at HOA demonstrated. She said that there is nothing she can do, to that I replied that I wanted to be transferred to speak with a manager or other supervisor. She said that I'm talking to the right person and there is no one that can grant me what I'm asking for. I hanged up. Later that day I get a phone call from Bob who is the service manager and he said that they will replace the parts for free and to schedule an appointment. I went for the appointment they fixed the seat belt buckles, however they couldn't reset the SRS light due to one of the modules being broken, I was okay with that simply because I just wanted to leave the place, I asked for my 66$ diagnosis which they charged since I shouldn’t have paid for it anyway they told me that after they fixed the seat belt buckle they had to do a “diagnosis” on why they can’t reset the SRS light so that the 66$ I was charged before is paying for that I was extremely upset about them saying that at that point of the day the manager Bob already left. I contacted him about getting my money back next day but he was not available. I called him the day after and was told that he is very busy and to leave a message for him I demanded to speak with him and I told them I can wait after about 30 minutes of waiting he picked up, I explained the whole situation to him and he said he will contact Honda corporate and I firmly stated that I want him to call me back its almost may now and I still haven’t gotten a response from him. I’m overall not only disappointed in the dealership but Honda as a company. I work in customer service myself and I would never treat a person the way I was treated and I wouldn’t wish all the stress this caused me on my worst enemy. Please do yourself a favor and visit a different dealership or stay away from honda vehicles altogether. I know that my next Honda vehicle is going to be a Toyota. More
Bait and Switch, Lies, ZERO Negotiation McGrath City was the worst of any Honda dealer I have talked to. Made phone calls over the last few months to probably 30+ dealers in the process of b McGrath City was the worst of any Honda dealer I have talked to. Made phone calls over the last few months to probably 30+ dealers in the process of buying two used cars. McGrath was the only one that REFUSED to negotiate via phone/email. They won't take an offer unless you come in, and keep saying, "your presence is your power here." Which must be some cheesy BS slogan one of their higher-ups came up with. I was assured they'd negotiate in person. Repeatedly. Days later I drive an hour from the suburbs, and test drive a 2013 Civic advertised online as a Honda Certified used vehicle. The car was nice, I loved the vehicle. I would have bought it at the right price and made that clear to the salesman. We get back to the desk and I tell him I know they bought this car at auction (meaning I know they bought it cheap). The salesman tries to say that it was never auctioned, it was a lease. I make him scroll down the CarFax to where it clearly states that they bought it at auction. Then he tries to tell me that all leases get sent to auctions, and you can't buy a lease from the dealer that leased it. Which is not true. He then tells me the car, advertised on their own site as Honda Certified Pre-Owned, is not *actually* certified at all. He calls it "pre-certified" and tells me I can pay extra over the top of the online price if I want it to be "fully certified." So there's false advertising to go with all the other nonsense so far. Pre-Certified is not a thing. It's Honda Certified or it isn't. Claiming that and then up-selling $1,000 extra for a car that COULD be certifiable is a bait and switch. I checked again before writing this review, they advertise the car as Honda Certified on its listing. Again, I've talked to Honda dealers all over the eastern U.S. and not had these problems. So I make them a reasonable offer for a non-certified 13 Civic LX, 33K miles, bought at auction. I based my offer on a number over the wholesale value, but not quite as high as full Edmunds trade-in value. As we know, when NEGOTIATING, the two sides start a bit far apart, and then work toward a compromise somewhere in the middle. All the while they brag about their prices being the lowest in 11 states or some such meaningless stat. Saying the price must be great, that's why I'm here, I won't top it. They didn't make a counter offer whatsoever. They dwelled on how ridiculous they thought my initial offer was, desked it twice, and sent the sales manager over. Manager gives no alternate scenarios, just "I can't possibly begin to consider your offer. Our prices are so great, you won't beat this." I asked him what he could do on price, and he again made no counter. Insisted on full web price and tried to convince me that the online price is NOT the same as list price, it's already a very special deal they can't top. So I left. No counter-offer, when I walk, no wanting to know what kind of price I could come up to. They let me walk. Meaning my trip was a waste of time after I was clear on the phone that I wasn't interested at full price, and led to believe they WOULD negotiate once I arrived. I go straight to a nearby Honda dealer, drive a '13 Civic, same mileage, fully Honda Certified (for real this time) and quickly get down to a price about $1,000 below McGrath's web price even though this dealer's original list price was $500 above McGrath's and their car wasn't bought at auction. Still over budget, I called a Honda dealer in Wisconsin and had my first offer accepted on the phone for a nearly identical '13 Civic, again FULLY certified, for $1,500 under McGrath's price. Since I loved the car (just not the treatment) at McGrath I called to see if they'd match price. They wouldn't. Don't waste your time. These liars belong in one of those shacks in a parking lots with a name like "Krazy Kool Kars 4U!" selling salvage-titled garbage. More

I had planned to visit multiple dealerships in my search as I wanted to make sure I was doing my due diligence. However, my experience at McGrath left me with no desire to search elsewhere. First and foremost, the salesman I worked with was exceptional. Dave Kazarian was tremendous in helping me get through the usually painstaking car buying process. He was knowledgeable (he has over 40 years experience), he was kind (he didn't treat me like a target, he treated me like a human being), and he answered every single one of my questions. We talked for hours about specific questions I had about the car, financing, warranty and everything else in-between. He wasn't trying to push the conversation and "close me for the sale", he allowed the sale to take it's natural course, which in turn led to me buying the car. His expertise in cars and his dedication to me, the customer, gave me the utmost confidence in the purchase of my 2013 Acura ILX. I also had some financing issues (less than stellar credit), they worked with me to find the right deal that made sense for me, they also helped me with my trade in. Credit to Dave and the staff at McGrath for working with me to find a solution. The finance manager was experienced and very helpful as well. I highly recommend linking up with Dave K and getting your car from McGrath City Honda. It was a great experience and they have definitely won me over as a customer for years to come. More

Manny the salesman was very I walked in with the intention to lease. I had the pleasure of test driving a Honda 2016 Civic Touring at this dealership. Manny the salesman was very great as a person to talk to. He listened for your concerns and questions, however his manager is not the best when it comes to making deals. This car is MSRP at 27355 with the freight. Additional coatings and environmental protection added the original price to 29500. I had a 2008 Honda Civic EX to possibly trade in. The very first deal they offered was 39 month $1500 down and 539/month. That is paying almost 80% of the cars value in over 3 years. When I said I want 0 down 400 a month, he said that would be insulting to the manager lol. I asked for the invoice showing how much the dealership paid for the car, they didn't show it and told me that my offer won't work. Shook hands and left. I'm sure they are looking for the victim that is unprepared to take advantage of. I understand the car had just gotten in their lot Monday November 9. As the manager he probably figured his chances are higher for selling it his way to other potential buyers. As a 24 year old, that was a complete insult. That offer is complete BS. For that much I could get a lease for an Audi A6 2016. If you go here be ready and do your research because they will take advantage if you are not prepared. More
