When I was done, I went to the sales floor and said I was interested in trading in my current vehicle. After learning more about pricing, i realized that right now wasn't the right time for me to buy a car. I was trying to find out more about what my purchasing options were so sometime in the next couple months I could perhaps get a new car. I had to meet with a finance manager who didn't know what he was doing. He started handing me paperwork. He told me it was necessary to sign the papers to check my eligibility for financing. I very hesitantly started signing paperwork and then I was told I got a really good deal and when we got to contract and started reading numbers he said just sign then took it away. I never had a chance to read what I was signing nor was my head in the right place to buy anything as I am still dealing with the grief of my Brother's recent passing. The sales staff told me I could take the car home for the night. When I got home, I reviewed the papers they gave me at the dealership, and realized they sold me a car! A car that I simply cannot afford at this time, and a car that initially was supposed to be $27k with a $14k trade-in, became a $30k car with only a $11k offer to buy my existing vehicle. With interest, this car will cost me $51k! The dealership refused to cancel this deal and I am seeking legal action More

I can g I took my Sorento there for a check engine light. I had a coupon for free diagnostic, but they would only provide the codes from the reader. I can get that from any auto parts store. I paid for the "full" diagnostic ($130), and they told me I needed to replace the main wiring harness for about $3,000. I took the car to get a second opinion from another Kia dealership (in Elgin). I paid for another full diagnostic, and they were extremely skilled at diagnostics. They saw some signals at a couple test points that caught their attention, so they reached out to Corporate in CA. Feedback from Corporate was to check a connector on the passenger side access panel. They found corroded terminals which they cleaned and the check engine light disappeared. There is no comparison between the level of expertise and maybe the diligence to follow a diagnostic procedure. But, the Advantage Kia in Palatine failed miserably at both. Even though it is much farther away, I will always take my car to the Kia dealership in Elgin. I will NEVER bring my car to the Advantage Kia of Palatine dealership again. I would rate them zero stars if I could. More

Worst service department ever! Last winter I had a flat while going to the city, got it towed to this location. Was told by someone in the service department that the car had a coup Last winter I had a flat while going to the city, got it towed to this location. Was told by someone in the service department that the car had a couple of recalls. They fix the recall and change our one tire for $165. After 2 weeks with frequent calls to find out when I can get my car back. I got it back, drove it out of the lot and the car would not go anywhere. This is a 2015 car with very low miles. It turns out while fixing the recall, the transmission got broken. So they put in a new transmission and it drove fine until couple of days ago. The transmission fluid splatter everywhere under the hood. This time I took it back to my dealership Gary Lang and they said the valves was not tighten that is why transmission fluid went all over the place. Drop the car off at Gary Lang yesterday, they call me today to let me know they will have it repaired by the end of the day tomorrow. 2 days service instead of 2 weeks. Never ever will I recommend Kia Palatine. More

This time it was brought in early Wednesday afternoon, had to call on Thursday afternoon to find out the status. They could not find out what the noise was, but they did find two issues that needed to be repaired. I told them why it was towed in Dec and the service guy was going to tell the tech and get right back to me. Again, after 24 hrs of no contact, I called the dealer to find out the status of my car. They were waiting to hear from the extended warranty to go ahead with the repairs. I mentioned one of the issues was something they repaired in Dec. My car was finally ready at 4:30pm on Friday. When I went to pick it up, they had washed it on one of the coldest days of the winter. My doors were frozen, my mirrors were frozen, and my windshield had frost on the inside of the car. I have had nothing but trouble with this car and service has not been much better. The car is only 6 years old, 56,000 miles. I would never recommend this car or this dealership. More

Initially, the issues I had with my car was a chirping sound that was issues from the rear. To stop this sound, the service team at Kia recommended to get my brakes replaced. They replaced my brakes and e sound that was issues from the rear. To stop this sound, the service team at Kia recommended to get my brakes replaced. They replaced my brakes and ensured me that I would be good to go. Now, approximately 15 months and 22,000 mlies later, the brakes on my same car need to be replaced again. Meanwhile, the chirping noise never went away. What's more is that the other Kia dealership I went to, to get a second opinion, agrees with the brakes needing to be replaced, and was trying to charge me $100 more than the Arlington Kia for the exact same service. What brakes should be replaced after 22,000 miles?!?! Incredibly infuriating encounters. I'll be surprised if I ever buy another Kia, let alone visit another Kia service center. Very disappointing experiences. More
