I also asked them to fix the heat shields because they were making a noise. Upon pickup, I confirmed that they fixed the heat shields and I was told that they crimped them the most that they could. Minutes after pulling out of Village Subaru the noise from the heat shields started again and by the time I was home(15-minute ride) the noise was almost as bad as when I brought the car in. I went to my mechanic Karim at 1 Oak Hill Road in Westford (BP) and he fixed the heat shields for free. The noise was eliminated and 4 months later the noise has not returned. I will not consider Village Subaru of Acton for any further maintenance on my Subaru's. More
Unable to get car in service in a resonable time My 2015 Subaru Outback is making a load squealing noise when the weather is damp and seems to be getting worse. Because of the issue I would need to My 2015 Subaru Outback is making a load squealing noise when the weather is damp and seems to be getting worse. Because of the issue I would need to leave vehicle overnight so a technician can very issue the next morning. Without transportation home I would need a loaner for the night. I was informed by service that the soonest I can get my vehicle in with the ability of a loaner would be May 23rd. Yes, I can bring it in next week to leave it overnight but would have no ride home. This is an issue that should be resolved sooner than later. Is there any way to have my vehicle services sooner? More
Committed to developing long term customers While things started off excellently with the sales experience (Raymond is awesome - best car buying experience of life) , my subsequent experiences w While things started off excellently with the sales experience (Raymond is awesome - best car buying experience of life) , my subsequent experiences with the service department had been increasingly frustrating with several miscommunications. I reached out to the general manager to express my concerns and he was actually pretty responsive - acknowledging the shortcomings in my experiences and committing to work to improve the tone of communications from the service department. The commitment to retaining a single customer was impressive for me and the service I received subsequently has been commendable. They are not perfect but they also do not duck issues when you point them out. Not a common trait these days. More
Very disappointed in quality and service! Purchased our 2012 Forester from dealership. Brought it in for servicing when the check engine light came on. They didn't actually check the engine (w Purchased our 2012 Forester from dealership. Brought it in for servicing when the check engine light came on. They didn't actually check the engine (which was leaking oil). Hooked it up to the computer and replaced cat/converter, but didn't actually check engine. Less than a month later and the engine is ruined due to lack of oil. Five year old car, just paid off with a useless engine due to service staff not checking engine when we brought the car in due to "check engine" light. Terrible service at Village Subaru AND Subaru America Customer Service. Will never buy a Subaru again!!! More
Great dealership and service This is my 2nd review of the Village Subaru Service department. These guys are still doing a great job. I had them put on new tires the other day an This is my 2nd review of the Village Subaru Service department. These guys are still doing a great job. I had them put on new tires the other day and was told by the service tech that they usually do an alignment when they put on new tires. I also was concerned that the brakes may be waring down. I told them that I was more concerned about the brakes, but if I need the alignment its ok to do both. I left and came back a half hour later and they were ready. Expecting the worst I looked at the bill. $88? I said I must be dreaming somebody pinch me. I said with a smile looks like the alignment and the brakes were ok? I was ready for a puzzled look and a, "whoops we forgot to check". But; without even taking a breath, he said nope the brakes are fine, you probably have another 10k on them and the tires were worn perfectly even no need for an alignment. I got up off the floor and said "you guys are amazing, I cant brag enough about you ". To top it off I always get a call for the service mgr (its recorded, but we can cut em some slack on that, after all who else even cares?), and am reminded that my satisfaction is important to them, and to call if there are any questions. Keep up the good work guys, there are some service places you can trust. Correction there is a service place you can trust. More
Sales ok, service dept lacking Bought the 2014 Forester new here. Been to the service dept 3 times. Once for the initial inspection (they wouldn't stay open a few minutes late Bought the 2014 Forester new here. Been to the service dept 3 times. Once for the initial inspection (they wouldn't stay open a few minutes late to do it the evening I picked the car up. The 2nd time was for the 3750 mile oil change. That was fine. But the playback portion of the USB connection didn't work, and they just looked at me blankly and argued that the aux port did, and the USB charging did, so everything was ok (which it wasn't). The 3rd time was because the rear lift gate had stopped working. It was just beeping 3 times. They reset it, sort of. The button next to the steering wheel works now, but the button on the gate, and the key fob still don't. So, unless it's warranty work, find a good local mechanic that takes some pride in their work. More

A recent service experience as an example of that aspect of their operation: I greatly appreciated the extra emergency service rendered 14July2011 to replace both fans in my 2005 Outback wagon after an engine overheating experience. I was faced with a 15July drive to Albany without operational radiator or A/C fans. Their service people squeezed me into an already fully committed service schedule to make the repairs and allow me to make the trip safely. Further, my imposition was handled with utmost courtesy and friendly understanding. Much appreciated their bailing me out without any advance notice or scheduling. Further, they have always been fully supportive, giving full service explanations/advice, when my wife brings in the car. This aspect of their business style is very important to me, showing that they are made of the "right stuff". It is such rare excellence that compels me to recommend Village Subaru to anyone who will listen. More

I purchased a used Subaru Forester from them and have it serviced there. There were a few kinks to be worked out after I bought and they fixed them for free. I always have the care serviced there because serviced there. There were a few kinks to be worked out after I bought and they fixed them for free.
