From my very first contact with Village Subaru I received honest and open answers to my questions. There was none of the stereotypical "car salesman" talk. I had done my research, was very clear about what honest and open answers to my questions. There was none of the stereotypical "car salesman" talk. I had done my research, was very clear about what I was looking for and I was given a fair price right away. I placed a factory order for the car and the sales staff was very helpful during the waiting process, giving me updates along the way. When the car arrived, closing the transaction was straightforward. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and I feel great about the purchase I made. More
I bought my first Subaru (a 2000 Outback) from Village Subaru. When it came time to get a safe, reliable, and fuel efficient car for my girlfriend who took a new job with a much longer commute, we did ou Subaru. When it came time to get a safe, reliable, and fuel efficient car for my girlfriend who took a new job with a much longer commute, we did our research on various car brands. Having enjoyed my car, I suggested we check out Subarus. Even though there are a couple Subaru dealers closer to us, I suggested Village Subaru in Acton because of my positive experience. We went out and worked with Anthony Romano to discuss options and prices for a 2009 Impreza sedan. Then we called around to a bunch of other dealers. They each told us they couldn't beat price. So we bought it. A few weeks later I decided it was time to trade in my 2000 Outback. I went back to Anthony again and discussed the options I was looking for. I wasn't planning on purchasing right there, but Village Subaru made a great offer for both the new car and my trade-in. And so now I'm the extremely happy owner of a brand new 2010 Outback. The staff at Village Subaru are professional yet also very calm and laid back. They had my car ready very quickly and followed up throughout the process. I know they're service shop is very good, too. Again, even though there are Subaru dealers closer to where I live and work, I will definitely keep going to Village Subaru in Acton. More
I purchased a used Subaru Forester from them and have it serviced there. There were a few kinks to be worked out after I bought and they fixed them for free. I always have the care serviced there because serviced there. There were a few kinks to be worked out after I bought and they fixed them for free. I initially purchased a commuting car from Village Subaru in July 2009. I had been shopping for a while and test drove everything (Honda, Mazda, Toyota, VW, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Kia) Village Subaru was by f in July 2009. I had been shopping for a while and test drove everything (Honda, Mazda, Toyota, VW, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Kia) Village Subaru was by far the most honest, knowledgible, and respectful. Moreover their price was much better than Quirk, the most aggressive dealership chain in Massachusetts. Village Subaru also gave me a more than fair trade in allowance and went the extra mile to get my car registered the day before Massachusetts sales tax increased saving me over $250. It turns out that car had a manufacturing defect. Nothing in life is perfect, Manufacturing defects occur with every auto maker. Village Subaru GM, John Oleson, worked with me and Subaru America to fix this problem in a way that far exceeded my expectation. What a pleasant suprise! Thanks John, Chris, Dave (from Village Subaru)and Karen Quinn (Subaru America. More
Being "empty nesters," we decided it was time to trade in our 1998, 155K miles SUV and size down. I wanted a dependable and practical four wheel drive vehicle to cope with Vermont weather and rugged roads. M our 1998, 155K miles SUV and size down. I wanted a dependable and practical four wheel drive vehicle to cope with Vermont weather and rugged roads. My husband drives a pick up truck, so smaller made sense and a cross over seemed to be a logical transition for me. I visited Chevy to look at the Equinox and was told I would not be happy with that vehicle after driving Suburbans for 22 years; I should instead buy the Traverse (more $$$ and car than I KNEW I wanted). We consider ourselves informed consumers, so that opiniated sales pitch was a total turn-off despite our previous brand loyalty. Our research pointed us toward Subaru; the Forester, in particular. I visited our local Subaru dealer who was straight-out busy. I had to ASK for assistance after browsing the lot and literature for half an hour. I finally had a test drive and was pleased with the vehicle. However, the color and features I was looking for were not in stock and I wasn't feeling ready to commit enough for the sales rep to start hunting down the specific car I wanted. As soon as I returned home, I went online and found Village Subaru in Acton, Massachusetts which is an easy trip for us as we have close friends living in nearby Maynard. I contacted the internet manager, David Mack, who was able to find the exact vehicle we were looking for. It was on a ship en route to the U.S. Over the phone, we were able to "tag" that automobile for me. WOW!! that was easy! David was friendly, fast and efficient. The initial transactions were handled via phone, internet and US Mail. Once our sale left cyberspace, we were in contact with John Oleson and Eric Holm, who, like David Mack were knowledgeable, easy to work with and efficient. I even received a few email photos of my new car from Village Subaru, just off the delivery truck and still donning protective white plastic film! (I think they sensed how excited I was ;-) When the time came for the actual trade and transaction, Village Subaru was ready and waiting, despite it being a busy Saturday. All paperwork was well organized and ready for us to sign after clear explanation. The personnel needed to complete the sale were immediately available. We were introduced to our new vehicle; shown all the features in an unhurried (and therefore absorbable) fashion; my many questions were answered very truthfully and thoroughly AND without condescension as I often had experienced other places in the past. In closing, all I can say is that Village Subaru did everything we asked, and more, as well as followed through with everything they promised. It was a pleasure dealing with Village Subaru and their staff. If only all our buying experiences could be as positive as this. More
I haven't bought a car in 13 years, as I had an old Grand Am to trade in, with 160,000 miles. This was a great and easy process. I called and spoke with the Internet Manager David Mack, who went over the i Am to trade in, with 160,000 miles. This was a great and easy process. I called and spoke with the Internet Manager David Mack, who went over the inventory with me, and he suggested a few cars. I scheduled an appointment with the dealership, and met with Erik. I was impressed with not only his knowledge, but looking at all his awards for top sales for a number of years. He knows his Subaru's! We ended up selecting a new Subaru Legacy SE. I have never had a car with a roof, and some of the bells and whistles this car has. They appraised my old car (junk box), and paid me fair money for it, and gave me a great price on the new Legacy. I have been driving my car for a few weeks now, and I am so impressed. From the initial phone call, right on through to driving it home. My experience with Village Subaru has been great. I look forward to going back for my service there. More
It was a great experience to buy an Outback from this dealer. They had the vehicle with the color and options I needed plus were very accommodating in letting me leave my old car in their lot for severa dealer. one word: incompetence. among other things, the sales person i worked with provided me with incorrect information regarding the specific differences b/w two different models. ultimately, i ended up makin person i worked with provided me with incorrect information regarding the specific differences b/w two different models. ultimately, i ended up making a decision and leasing one of the vehicles based on this information, but in all, it was a mistake. i felt a serious lack of confidence while working with this individual, i should've gone somewhere else. Was trying to work out a purchase over the phone. Could not get a call back. When I called to put down a deposit, I was told I could not hold the car with a $1000 deposit and that I had to drive nearly 45 not get a call back. When I called to put down a deposit, I was told I could not hold the car with a $1000 deposit and that I had to drive nearly 45 minutes to the dealership and hope that the vehicle was still going to be available when I got there. When I called to complain, and told them I was purchasing from another dealer. I was told by Village Subaru that my choice between them and another dealer would be based on, "whoever lies to you the best". Ummm... I wast just told by the Internet sales manager at Village Subaru that they were lying to me -- and that they didn't do a very good job. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not! More
