It was a great experience to buy an Outback from this dealer. They had the vehicle with the color and options I needed plus were very accommodating in letting me leave my old car in their lot for severa dealer. I would recommend them. More
one word: incompetence. among other things, the sales person i worked with provided me with incorrect information regarding the specific differences b/w two different models. ultimately, i ended up makin person i worked with provided me with incorrect information regarding the specific differences b/w two different models. ultimately, i ended up making a decision and leasing one of the vehicles based on this information, but in all, it was a mistake. i felt a serious lack of confidence while working with this individual, i should've gone somewhere else. Was trying to work out a purchase over the phone. Could not get a call back. When I called to put down a deposit, I was told I could not hold the car with a $1000 deposit and that I had to drive nearly 45 not get a call back. When I called to put down a deposit, I was told I could not hold the car with a $1000 deposit and that I had to drive nearly 45 minutes to the dealership and hope that the vehicle was still going to be available when I got there. When I called to complain, and told them I was purchasing from another dealer. I was told by Village Subaru that my choice between them and another dealer would be based on, "whoever lies to you the best". Ummm... I wast just told by the Internet sales manager at Village Subaru that they were lying to me -- and that they didn't do a very good job. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not! More
We feel so lucky to have found Dick Gleason at Village Subaru. He is the most humane salesman to deal with. We also got a great deal, high value on the Subaru we traded in, and a very good price on the Subaru. He is the most humane salesman to deal with. We also got a great deal, high value on the Subaru we traded in, and a very good price on the new Subaru Forrester we bought. All around, a great experience. I would refer anyone in the market for a Subaru to Dick Gleason. More
I was told on the phone that a certain trade-in price would be available for my almost brand new Hyundai Sonata (2 weeks old). Wanted to trade for a Subaru Outback 2.5i. Drove eighty miles to Village; would be available for my almost brand new Hyundai Sonata (2 weeks old). Wanted to trade for a Subaru Outback 2.5i. Drove eighty miles to Village; the "deal" suddenly became $3000 higher, even though my car was exactly as I described on the phone (twice) - in perfect condition and like new. Very disconcerting to waste a Labor Day Holiday and drive 160+ miles for a runaround. More
I just bought a new Subaru through a very smooth and friendly precess here. I got a pretty good quote from David by several rounds of emails. Once I get into the dealership, the car is exactly as what t friendly precess here. I got a pretty good quote from David by several rounds of emails. Once I get into the dealership, the car is exactly as what they said and there is no surprise more options and more charges. I test drive/trade in/finished the deal with Erik, a very friendly and nice guy, in the same day. Village Subaru is not the closest dealer for me, but I'm glad that I drove 20 more miles to get the car from them. I'll do this again if I need one more car in the future. More
All things considered it was an exceptional sales experience. Very cordial and friendly and willing to put a deal together that was acceptable to both parties. Having been in car sales in the past experience. Very cordial and friendly and willing to put a deal together that was acceptable to both parties. Having been in car sales in the past I can speak from experience. Village Subaru treated me with the same respect that I treated my customers. No pressure, no gimmicks or tricks of the trade. Straight forward. Extremely pleased with the quality of the vehicle. More
My Mom and I came here and each bought a car at a good price (based on invoice), received good trade-in prices, and, unlike most dealerships, were not harassed or treated like idiots. The salesperson, Mik price (based on invoice), received good trade-in prices, and, unlike most dealerships, were not harassed or treated like idiots. The salesperson, Mike Holm, was helpful, as was the manager, and the finance department helped accommodate our financing requirements. It was the least stressful car shopping experience that I have had. More

Unlike the reviewer below, who speaks up only to criticize, I spoke up at the dealership and had great service. Precisely what I loved about the place was the layed back, low pressure atmosphere. I criticize, I spoke up at the dealership and had great service. Precisely what I loved about the place was the layed back, low pressure atmosphere. I was given all the time I needed in a test drive and inspection, followed by a no nonsense negotiation. Their price was already lower then the identical car at a rival dealership. My previous car purchase involved all of the cliches: the back and forth with the manager, the walking out, the being chased, the hard sell on alarms, financing, you name it. Village Subaru offered none of this "old school" eighties high pressure crap. The paperwork was handled flawlessly, and everything they said they would do, they did. I took the car back for service, and they did warranty work with no hassle too. So, yeah, if you like to be pestered at a dealership instead of being left alone until you are ready, then this is the wrong dealership- try one of the "Automile" or 128 places for that. More
