I went to Village Subaru looking for a new/slightly used Imprezza after visiting a few other dealerships in the area. Village Subaru is the only dealership I went to where I didn't feel like I was about to Imprezza after visiting a few other dealerships in the area. Village Subaru is the only dealership I went to where I didn't feel like I was about to get scammed - Anthony was incredibly helpful and honest about what was available and what would be the best option for me. I got a fantastic deal and couldn't be happier with the car. He has since followed up with me several times to make sure I was satisfied with my experience. Would definitely buy from them again! More
I was going to purchase a Forester and knew exactly what options I wanted and only wanted to get a price. The salesperson refused to discuss price with me over the phone and insisted I had to come to the d options I wanted and only wanted to get a price. The salesperson refused to discuss price with me over the phone and insisted I had to come to the dealership - unlike the other dealers I spoke with. The sales person then stated that if I didn't buy a Forester from them, I would not be eligible for a loaner car if I got service from them - ONLY customers who bought cars from Village get loaners. I told him that I couldn't take the time to visit unless the price was good and again asked him for a price over the phone. He then said: "Ok, I'll give you a price but if you don't buy know that price will not honored". I told him not to worry, I'd save both of us the hassle and I'd hang up now. The price by the way that he gave me was over $1,000 more than the Forester I eventually bought from Patrick Subaru. Patrick was terrific and so was Planet Subaru. They were both better over the phone and answered all my questions and acted like they wanted my business. I will NEVER do business with Village Subaru even if they were the only Subaru Dealer in the state. More
I found a white Subaru Legacy advertised on the Village Subaru website and sent an inquiry to David Mack. He called me back promptly at 9am the next morning and invited me to come down for a test drive. Wh Subaru website and sent an inquiry to David Mack. He called me back promptly at 9am the next morning and invited me to come down for a test drive. When I arrived at the dealership at approximately 11am, I was told that the car was on an "extended test drive" and was not available. When I asked to speak with David Mack, I was told that I could not see him. He does his work from a back room and deals with people on line and via phone only. I complained to the sales manager and was brushed off. Later that day I received an email from Mr. Mack stating that he would drive the car out to me to test drive when it became available. I agreed to this plan and have been waiting over a month for this car to become available for a test drive. This is an illegal practice and I let him know this in my last email to him. These people did not seem to care about selling me a car. I don't know how they stay in business. I have since purchased a white Subaru Legacy from Patrick Subaru and what a difference in customer service. I would recommend Patrick Subaru over Village Subaru any day!! What a big difference! More
Went to the Subaru web site and had done a search for local dealers. Emailed a couple, and heard back from all. Received a nice reply from the Internet Manager David Mack at Village Subaru. He inquire local dealers. Emailed a couple, and heard back from all. Received a nice reply from the Internet Manager David Mack at Village Subaru. He inquired as to confirm the exact model, options and equipment I wanted. I sent all the information needed, as well as my trade information. He provided a great price for the car I wanted, as well as a range on my trade in. On my way home from work, I went to the dealership, and all the price of the new car was exactly as emailed, and the value of my trade in was in line with what I was expecting. A day later, I was driving my new 2011 Subaru Outback. This was a great, and easy transaction. Simple and straight forward. Very happy with David and Erik from Village Subaru. More
While I did not actually end up buying a new Subaru Impreza at Village Subaru, I did wanted to tell you it was a pleasure dealing with Tracie Bonanno/Hawkins in Sales. I test drove the Impreza and Impreza at Village Subaru, I did wanted to tell you it was a pleasure dealing with Tracie Bonanno/Hawkins in Sales. I test drove the Impreza and Legacy (used) autos before settling on a new Impreza. Unfortunately, the Impreza I eventually bought was not on stock at Village at the time, so I ended up buying it elsewhere (local Subaru dealer) That being said, the deal I was offered was very compelling and I would had probably purchased the car if it was available for immediate delivery. I recommend Tracie wholeheartedly should you be interested in a Subaru in the Acton/Littleton area. More

Initial sales price was better than any of the five dealers visited. A recent service experience as an example of that aspect of their operation: I greatly appreciated the extra emergency service rendered 14July2011 to replace both fans in my 2005 Outback wagon after an engine overheating experience. I was faced with a 15July drive to Albany without operational radiator or A/C fans. Their service people squeezed me into an already fully committed service schedule to make the repairs and allow me to make the trip safely. Further, my imposition was handled with utmost courtesy and friendly understanding. Much appreciated their bailing me out without any advance notice or scheduling. Further, they have always been fully supportive, giving full service explanations/advice, when my wife brings in the car. This aspect of their business style is very important to me, showing that they are made of the "right stuff". It is such rare excellence that compels me to recommend Village Subaru to anyone who will listen. More

The gas gauge registered "empty," but the tank registered "full," and would not accept any fuel. Two different dealers said it was "unusual" and they had never see it happen before. The first dealer kept the car for a week and said there was a problem with "spider webs in the gas tank." I went back to John Olesen in Acton, where I had gotten the car originally. I explained the problem, and mentioned that this was the second time this had happened and made it hard for me to trust the car. I had recently taken a 4-hour trip up and back to VT. in the pouring rain. What if it had happened then? John was gracious, friendly and professional. He recognized the fact that I had been driving Subarus for more than 10 years and that I was a "valued" customer. In less than a week, I was in a new Forester for virtually the same car payment, with NO hassles. I have since recommended Village Subaru and John Olesen to 3 friends; I will never go anywhere else ! WONDERFUL experience. 4 emails and I owned my car. No games played; requested bid and received a quote broken out by elements (car, tax, inspection, etc)to drive the car off the lot. I can't say enough games played; requested bid and received a quote broken out by elements (car, tax, inspection, etc)to drive the car off the lot. I can't say enough good about the sales department! The price was one I could live with based on research. I loved the straight forward approach - no insulting "what color" questions to determine the price. Simply - what car, what options. One point lost on overall experience due to their service department. Was promised putting on the side molding and inspection would not take more than 1 hour. I arrived 15 minutes early to ensure they could start on time. I left 2 hours after arriving. My appointment was for 730am. At 9am I walked back into service area to see what was going on and was told "it happens". This was my first experience with the service department. Could be hard to recover. When I'm promised 1 hour max I expect to be there 1 hour max. They would have done better if someone had come to me in the waiting room and apologized or kept me informed but that wasn't the case. A real shame because I really enjoyed the experience until then. More

Anthony Romano is one of the best people I know. Not only that, but he's probably willing to sell you a car. He's honest, mindful of what people want, really friendly, and really funny. He answered every sin that, but he's probably willing to sell you a car. He's honest, mindful of what people want, really friendly, and really funny. He answered every single one of my questions with clarity, and told me everything I needed to know during the financial and logistical processes. Definitely someone I'd recommend buying a car from, and definitely someone I'd recommend getting a beer with. More
