I bought a 2018 Audi Q7 prestige from McGovern Subaru of Acton. It failed MA inspection within 7 days of purchase. It failed MA inspection: 2-28-2022 When it failed inspection the used car manager said, Acton. It failed MA inspection within 7 days of purchase. It failed MA inspection: 2-28-2022 When it failed inspection the used car manager said, “I thought we fixed that problem” It was sitting at McGovern Audi at since 3-8-2021 (this was the earliest appointment they had) 3-25-2022 I finally was able to get a quote from McGovern Audi. I was trying to let Subaru fix the issue and talk to the Audi dealer. But they just seemed to keep delaying things. The official quote for the total engine replacement just to pass Massachusetts state inspection is $26,877. It takes 3-4 more weeks to just get a motor not to install it. 4-25-2022 I get the vehicle back with the be motor… about 2 weeks later there’s another CEL for something that has failed on this “new” motor already. 6-1-2022 McGovern Audi didn’t have didn’t have a loaner available until this day. So they had to drive my car with the CEL on until then… 6-11-2022… (today) the vehicle is still sitting at Audi broken… but no one will help me get out of it without rolling an absurd amount of money into the next car because they know what they’ve been doing to the car this entire time (and I can’t trade it anywhere else… because I don’t have the car) I bought the car for just shy of $50,000. They “cooked the books” to make DCU approve the negative equity they rolled in to the car because they lowballed me hard on my car. So DCU thinks the car sold for $70,000 and they gave me 48,000 for my car. (When they buy gave me about 25,000 for my car and made me roll in nearly $20,000) I thought this should have been the best time to sell my car that doesn’t have good residual value and get into something else. They forced me to get a bumper to bumper and other warranty’s they didn’t even tell me how much they would cost. They just said “your payment is what you wanted with this because you likely can’t afford audi problems should one arise.” All I wanted was the free McGovern Power Train warranty that would have likely covered this repair… I thought at first they must have known the vehicle had issues. I was beyond the “LemonAid Law” 14 day allowance because I couldn’t get a quote in time to return the vehicle. Due to the staffing shortages at Audi I have asked them to buy back the vehicle a few times now and put me in another vehicle on their lot or even my old car that is sitting on their lot for sale at the “Clean Retail with CPO” price when they wouldn’t even give me the trade in value as an in “rough shape” vehicle (which was not the case). Today, I was told by my loan company by law during that initial 30 days you can return the vehicle… however you can’t return a vehicle that’s unable to drive and stuck at a dealership. I have called a Lemon Law Attorney, As well as DCU to tell them about the numbers and ask about the random. I will also be contacting the MA attorney generals office over this (again I did previously but thought this was done so I had them close the case). Sadly this one experience finally has made me realize that mention of dealerships always trying to screw over the consumer. More
Don't waste your time with this dealership, I called the Sales guy (Lincoln?) and he assured me a used car was available to buy, After driving down for 45 minutes, the car was not even there and they said Sales guy (Lincoln?) and he assured me a used car was available to buy, After driving down for 45 minutes, the car was not even there and they said is almost sold.. and they tried to sell me another car.. bunch of scam artist.. Pete and his Manager helped find a vehicle during a stressful time in my life and they didn’t even try trapping me or tricking me into anything which is something I can’t say for other dealerships of o stressful time in my life and they didn’t even try trapping me or tricking me into anything which is something I can’t say for other dealerships of other brands that I kept catching in lies.
