Spent extra time to explain the service performed. I appreciated not being upsold and a focus on just what the car needed. I appreciated not being upsold and a focus on just what the car needed. More

I went in to see if they could replace a windshield from a vehicle I had purchased 5 months ago and they refused to help. The crack was caused by the defroster during a cold morning because it happened in t a vehicle I had purchased 5 months ago and they refused to help. The crack was caused by the defroster during a cold morning because it happened in the driveway while the vehicle was not in motion. They went over it with two technicians and didn't find any chips or impact in the windshield and they still refused to replace it or even start the process of trying to get a replacement citing that I need to go through insurance or the Ford Hotline. This should be covered under warranty or defective parts. The Hotline directed me back to the dealership. I will never purchase another vehicle from York Ford or go there for service ever again. More
4 weeks ago I brought my 2016 expedition in for service with some kind of a loud bearing noise. The front desk called me later and said it was because of the front left wheel bearing assembly which was bad with some kind of a loud bearing noise. The front desk called me later and said it was because of the front left wheel bearing assembly which was badly worn and needed to be replaced and that it would cost $1200. The next day the mechanic called me and said he replaced it, but it didn't fix the problem. He said it was likely the transfer case and explained that it was a common problem seen in expeditions with 80K miles and that I should consider trading it in since it would cost about $3K to change it. I picked up the car and brought it to a trusted transmission specialist who quickly determined that the transfer case was fine and that the noise was coming from the RIGHT side wheel bearing assembly. He quickly replaced it at a fraction of of the cost that York charged. When I called York to complain to the service manager Ryan Dodge, he said he would investigate and get back to me. He didn't. Instead, he had the mechanic call me back to explain this problem managed to escape him and 4 other mechanics to assessed it and they all determined it was the transfer case. So in other words, they are really bad mechanics. Just today I realized something was hanging from the bottom of my car and when I looked underneath, I saw that the PLASTIC WIRE TIES they used, to reinstall the under carriage cover had broken, causing the cover to hang down. I guess they lost the screws that were holding it in place and were not concerned about finding or replacing them. What a bunch of incompetent clowns. Stay away! More
I dropped my truck off around 0830 and was told to call back at noon for details about the work to be done on truck. I did call back and was told my truck had not been seen yet. Why? Apparently, some of back at noon for details about the work to be done on truck. I did call back and was told my truck had not been seen yet. Why? Apparently, some of the staff did not show up for work and the person running the service wasn't aware of that. (I'm a first responder and need my vehicle to drive 2.5 hours to work every week.) No one called to try and make the situation better for us so we decided to have my truck towed back to North Conway later that night. Incidently, there were people there at York Ford after 6 pm when supposedly they were closed at 4 pm. We bought our Ford truck from them 10 years ago and were treated nicely. I guess you're treated well when staff is earning commissions off of customers but not when my truck breaks down on Route 1 and needs fixing 2 days before Thanksgiving. First responders don't have the luxury to pick and choose who they will take care of and when they do it. York Ford should be ashamed of their service department. Oh , and they also didn't fix the recall portion of my visit, either. We will not go there for repairs there ever again and we are looking at new Ford trucks elsewhere. Horrible customer service!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have never, in 39 years of life, dealt with such an incompetent organization with no regard for their customers. We made an appointment 1 month ahea I have never, in 39 years of life, dealt with such an incompetent organization with no regard for their customers. We made an appointment 1 month ahead of time for an oil change, transmission issues, a USB socket not working, and the in-lane assist isn't shutting off and is too sensitive. We left the car at 7:00 AM. At 3:00 PM we got a call explaining they hadn't even looked at the car yet and there was no way they were going to. I told them we could leave it but needed a loaner for the long, Labor Day weekend. The woman who called us stated there was no way they were going to give us a loaner for the long weekend and it wasn't their fault they waited 6 hours to tell us there was no way they would be servicing a car for a customer that made an appointment one month prior. I asked to speak to a manager and after 10 minutes on hold the same woman got back on the phone and had been told she could arrange to pay for a rental from their on site rental agency. Tuesday comes and at 3:15 PM I have to call them to find out what is going on with the car. They still haven't looked at the transmission, USB, or other thing. Wednesday comes and goes and they can't isolate the issue with the transmission. They tell us the USB has no issues. I tell them several times it does not work. They don't mention anything about the in-lane assist. Finally, on Thursday I tell them we are picking up the car because this whole process has been a disaster. The employee tells us that they couldn't find an issue with the transmission because they only drove it 6 miles and only during rush hour on a busy highway so they couldn't get to speeds to see the issue. They took poor notes on our complaint on the in-lane assist and made it more sensitive instead of less and it still didn't shut off at low speeds. The paperwork we received showed that the mileage in was the same as the mileage out, so they technician didn't drive the 6 miles previously claimed. Additionally, I plugged my phone into the USB and guess what? It didn't work. In short, we left the car for a week and got an oil change. I would avoid York Ford at all costs. More
Very espensive Service ! Had some service work done. When I got the invoice and looked up the part online, they charged 3 TIMES MORE than what you can get the part OEM online. Had some service work done. When I got the invoice and looked up the part online, they charged 3 TIMES MORE than what you can get the part OEM online. Their reason, because they warranty it for 12 months... Labor rates $150 hr. Cost for me was $300 to diagnose and replace a easy to get at part with only 2 bolts. Their reason, labor rates are fixed and they are one of closest to Boston. If you want convenience, go there. But you will pay for it $$$$ More
Lack of communication at their end. Took my truck there cause engine light came on and problems with faulty door ajar indicator showing doors open. They fixed the engine light issue but Took my truck there cause engine light came on and problems with faulty door ajar indicator showing doors open. They fixed the engine light issue but not the door ajar indicators. I was suppose to have 90,000 mile tune up but the price was through the roof so I didn’t have that done but they mis understood me that I still wanted the door ajar issue to be fixed so they didn’t do it !! They kept my truck for two days just to work on the engine light!! Their bodyshop is also a nightmare, took my truck there 3 years ago!! I was disappointed both times. Prices also outrageous!! I’m never taking my truck back there ever again!! They need to regroup and pay more attention to their customers are explaining!! More
