I have been buying cars for myself,my wife,my two daughter,and my son.Plus my sister in law.I think it has been a total of 10 cars. This has gone on for about 18 years. Mcginnis used cars has always been more than a auto dealer they have been friends. They have done repairs for me when I wash short of money. They always made allowance's to help me and my family. You know when times are hard it is difficult to be perfect both as a consumer or a car dealer. Larry has always bent over backwards to help me (he is the manager) and Joan is the finance manager. They are both reasonable people and I can not express may regard for their friend ship and guidance which they have given me and my family Thur the years. I find it disturbing to read the problems that appear on this site. I believe that Larry's response are reasonable and hope that you will allow Larry and Joan to help you with your car purchase and to take care of any issues that may take place. I figured as long as i wasnt more than one month behind I would be alright since this was the fourth car i had bought with them i really thought i had a good relationship with this dealership and their managers, I guess i was wrong they repoed my mustang then gave me a choice of paying a ridiculous amount plus repo fees or the car was going to the auction. when i got this car i gave 3000.00 down and six payments of 413.00 comes to over 5000.00 now i see it back on the lot for 10.900 are these guys thieves or what. I have recently purchased a vehicle from this lot on about April 22 of 2006. I was satisfied with my purchase and my vehicle up until my check engine light came on last week. I called the dealership l about April 22 of 2006. I was satisfied with my purchase and my vehicle up until my check engine light came on last week. I called the dealership letting them know it had come on and that I was still within their 30 day or 1,000 mile “so called” warranty. The salesman I talked to said no problem, just call the guy that does the work for them and he proceeded to give me a phone number. Once I called them and got my car there I was informed that the warranty they said they had was not all it cracked up to be. When I was buying my truck I told my salesman that the truck pulled a little to the right and the brakes seemed to catch a bit. He then told me not to worry they put the truck through a vigorous “so many” point test. But he said it was more than likely “tire pressure”. Well once I got it to the shop I asked the mechanic, which by the way is a awesome, trustworthy place that I will be leaving them a comment as well, if he could check the brakes. He said no problem and upon calling me back on Friday said the the dealership was refusing to pay for it even though it was under warranty and that the rotors really needed to be replaced ($100 each). Now that, to me, seems wrong that they put it through this great test to make sure the cars they are selling are tip top, when in actuality they are not so. I feel I was lied to and told a car was check when it was not done so. An $11,000 truck is what I purchased under the impression it was a good truck and had to get a break job within 2 weeks of my purchase. I would not count on the cars they sell! More
