I was an easy sale. I called ahead of time, got the price and went in. I sat down with Aaron and said I would buy the car for the price advertised. He happily shook my hand, filled out some paperwork and the and went in. I sat down with Aaron and said I would buy the car for the price advertised. He happily shook my hand, filled out some paperwork and the car was bought... or so I thought. After about 45 min of waiting he came back telling me the car would be 250$ more because I didn't qualify for a deduction(pre owning a GM). I stated from the beginning that I had my own financing and after waiting a total of 2 hours they came and yelled at me that I had to get their financing. The Manager did the yelling. I should have walked away then, but stayed and did their financing. We were told the car would be ready by Wednesday but Wednesday came and we couldn't get a hold of Aaron. Thursday came, Friday came, and still no Aaron. Finally we went in on the following Saturday, 8 days later and the car wasn't ready yet. They had an issue with the registration. An issue that could have been easily solved by then. The same manager as before came in and I yelled at him for the car not being done and he yelled back saying none of this was his fault or the companies fault. They took no responsibility. After a time arguing he agreed to give me two lousy oil changes and said the car would be ready Monday. Monday came we picked up the car. That went well. Got it home and they registered the car in the wrong name. Now we have to go back... Miserable experience. More
I'm actually confused as to all the reviews that I've read about this dealership. I found a 2012 Avalanche on McGee's website that was exactly what I was looking for. I used the "click here" for the epri read about this dealership. I found a 2012 Avalanche on McGee's website that was exactly what I was looking for. I used the "click here" for the eprice. This was done at night and I had an email from Chad DaSilva when I returned home from work the next day. I was offered a price of almost $10,000 under MSRP and of course, I was skeptical. I contacted many dealers actually, and received tons of offers but none like McGee's. I even had other dealers tell me to check McGee's reviews and then I was really nervous but I figured that worse case scenario was that I go there, get pissed off and leave. BUT! When I arrived, Chad and the salesperson, Scott Soares, were waiting outside the door for me. In a snowstorm! Chad greeted me and introduced me to Scott and let me know that I'd be working with Scott but if there were any issues to ask for him. I was given a quick view of the new truck and then brought in out of the snow. Although I was there quite some time, it wasn't their fault. I had been emailed a $1000 voucher from GM for being a loyal customer and when it was presented to McGee, they accepted it but it was denied by GM. It took quite some time to straighten things out but Scott went to bat for us. He made multiple calls to ensure that we received that money. I think McGee Chevrolet was not only helpful but went above and beyond the call of duty to sell me a truck. Even as I was passed from Scott to Anthony in finance, the respect and helpfulness continued. Now, I'm not here to tell you they didn't try and "sell." Because they did, but that's also their jobs. I have purchased many vehicles in my life and have never had such a pleasant experience. We spent an awful lot of time laughing and joking and just having a good time. We were offered coffee and snacks and I believe, not that I tried, if I asked for something they didn't have, they would have gone out of their way to get it for me. After all of the negotiations were complete and financing was done, I was brought out to my new vehicle where they had cleaned it all up and as my wife and I sat in the front seats, Scott stood outside, in the snow, and explained each and every button in the vehicle and helped set up the On Star. My impression of McGee was fantastic and would highly recommend them to anyone. I was told once before that "90% of reviews are written from people who didn't get their way", I'm here to let you know that I'm in the 10% that think they not only earned this review but deserve it. I had a great experience over at McGee Chevrolet. My wife and I were greeted by my salesman Aaron who was very nice and polite and we told him that we were looking for a new Equinox. I was suprised at his kn and I were greeted by my salesman Aaron who was very nice and polite and we told him that we were looking for a new Equinox. I was suprised at his knowledge of the car and his knowledge of other makes such as Ford, Honda, and Toyota as well. He helped us pick out the Equinox that best fit us and got us a really great deal on it. The negotiating process was quick and painless and Anthony (the finance manager) took care of all the financial stuff for my wife and I and he was great as well. We got to drive home our new car that day which made us very excited. I would definitely recommend all of my friends and family who are looking for a new car to go to McGee Chevrolet More
An absolutely terrible experience from the point of walking through the door. If I didn't like the vehicle I was buying I would have walked away. After the experience, I should have walked away. The walking through the door. If I didn't like the vehicle I was buying I would have walked away. After the experience, I should have walked away. They treat their customers so poorly each and every one of the people I encountered. So unprofessional. More

Even though we had heard negative things about McGee from people we know who've purchased a truck from there, we decided to give the dealership a chance anyhow. It turns out that we should have listened to people we know who've purchased a truck from there, we decided to give the dealership a chance anyhow. It turns out that we should have listened to those reviews. As soon as I pulled into the lot and parked my car, a salesman immediately came out and circled around my car before I even got out, which made me feel really uncomfortable. So I stayed in the car and waited for my fiance to get there in the car we wanted to trade in. As we started to look around, the same man came right up to us while smoking a cigarette, not even giving us time to look around. We were very interested in purchasing a truck that day, so we went on a test drive and decided to sit down and talk about the price. We had money to put down in addition to the trade-in, and had a certain price point where we were comfortable. We were under the impression that this price point was feasible because we spoke to the sales manager a month earlier about our plan to purchase, and he said we could definitely get there. However, the salesman said the program going on back then was not going on anymore, and that our price point was impossible and no dealer could meet that. The salesman also mentioned various fees that we would have to pay up front, none of which I had ever heard about or paid at other dealerships. When I asked him what the fees were for, he didn't seem to really know and gave me answers that seemed made-up. As we kept asking questions and turning down different offers, the salesman became very impatient and irritated and had a very rude tone with me. We left the dealership feeling very disappointed and feeling like we'll never be able to buy the truck we wanted. My fiance even started considering used truck options. We took a chance on another local Chevrolet dealership, and they proved that our experience at McGee Chevrolet is not the norm, nor should it be. This other dealership was friendly, told us that there BETTER specials going on now than what they had a couple of months ago (opposite of what McGee told us), they met our price, we paid no fees beyond the down payment and first month's payment, and their trucks included more features that McGee did not offer, such as a bedliner and a nice hitch cover. Had our truck buying experience ended with McGee, we would not be driving our new truck home tonight. More
I wanted a Chevrolet 2500 HD as I was trading in a 2004 Chevy HD 2500 & they talked me into a 1500 Silverado and I hate it. For what was charged for this vehicle the quailty is very cheap. the interior is Chevy HD 2500 & they talked me into a 1500 Silverado and I hate it. For what was charged for this vehicle the quailty is very cheap. the interior is low quality & the frame is unfinished & finance told me no charge for for gap or roadside service when I finally got the paper work there was a charge. The vehicle has an aweful hesitation when stepping on the gas something to do with the flex fuel. I wanted a 2500 HD and they talked to me for hours until I broke & settled for a 1500 again I hate it always had a Chevy & now rethinking to ever get one again & going to get rid of this one. For a brand new vehicle I should be happy at the get go. This is not the case. My 2004 Chevy silverado 2500 was better quality & better driving that this one. Wish I never traded it More
Paul Johnson made me feel like trust and honesty in the deal and what more could ask for. Every request I made was met with a smile and tried to be handled overall, I would definetly do business with them deal and what more could ask for.
