The dread of car shopping in general, for me,is the sales personnel. We went to McGavock for the first time and I flagged down a salesman who was jogging out to get a car for someone’s test drive. He was polite and said he would get us a salesman immediately. Well that was such a change from the cut throat dealerships we had visited we said oh no we will wait for you inside. GUNNAR VANCE. What a perfect gentleman. The best most cordial and conscientious sales professional I have dealt with in my 62 years. After test driving an Armada and Pathfinder we were out discussing them. Another very nice ‘salesman’ stopped and talked to us. After a bit he introduced himself as Colby Hutson, the General Manager of McGavock Nissan in Amarillo. What an awesome dealership that the General manager will stop and chat with you in the parking lot. After working up numbers for the two vehicles we were interested in, a family happened to trade in a 2022 Armada. Long and short Colby gave us a deal sheet on the Pre-Owned 2022 Armada. That night I did my due diligence and searched 2022 Armada Platinums with similar miles. Nationwide searches showed me Colby had given us the BEST deal in the country. The lowest price nationwide! The next day we bought the vehicle with the guidance of Gunnar Vance. What a refreshing change to deal with an absolute professional dealership. So if dealerships are still jacking up sticker prices for new vehicles you are looking at you should really stop by McGavock Nissan in Amarillo. They do not jack up their prices.
