Gilbert sold me a defective car. The air conditioning/heating control doesn't function at all. The key fob was always on the blink. I brought the key fob into Ace Lock and key, both the one the car came with that was temporarily lost then recently found, and the replacement fob my wife paid you folks $150 for. Ace informed me that both fobs didn't even correspond to my car! I was told by the manager of service repeatedly that our key fob had an old key in it, rather than the one it should have come with. To insinuate that either my wife or I replaced the key you sold us twice is simply ridiculous. Who on God's green earth would do such a pointless thing. You were insulting to both of us! When my wife recently took a cab from the hospital to pick up our car, some male employee there convinced her that she was in the wrong by pressing the key fob against the starter button in order to get the car running. Just about everyone knows that this should be unnecessary. On a referral, I brought the car and key fob into Frog's Safe and Key of Amarillo. A kind and knowledgeable woman who worked there ran the VIN number against the key fob, to agree with Ace Lock and Key that the fob had no connection whatsoever with our car. That notwithstanding, she took the back off the key fob and quickly ascertained that the prongs that were supposed to me in tight contact with the battery were not. A screwdriver did the trick. What kind of half-hearted sales and service departments are McGavock running? I will admit having words with McGavock employees owing to their utter incompetence and asininity, however other car and lock shops have refused to take any money from be because I was so very pleasant and entertaining to talk to. I have been banned from the McGavock dealership, which is a really easy way for them to avoid taking any responsibility for their multiple acts of indefensible negligence. When I complained about the utterly faulty air conditioning controller, I was only told that there would be a $215 (or thereabouts) diagnostic fee. This is McGavock's fault and no one else. Why should we be charged a single cent for such nonsense? On top of everything, on one of the many occasions my key fob did not work ("key not recognized" error message), they had us towed from our garage by yet another inept outfit, Cierra Towing, who I am preparing to sue for all the damages they mindlessly and unnecessarily caused to the virgin concrete in our garage. On another occasion, just a few weeks later, when the car once again refused to recognize the key, I had Ricky's tow me, which they did competently, the way I would have done had it been up to me. Despite my sending multiple photographs of all the damage done and threatening suit, my protestations have gone ignored. I was one of New Jersey's top trial lawyers and a recognized Super Lawyer since 2009, the first year that prestigious distinction was even available in NJ. I have appeared before the Supreme Court, the Appellate Division and Superior Court. As opposed to Texas, where just about anyone who is lucky enough to get elected gets to sit as Judge on some Benches, NJ requires all judges to b lawyers in good standing. I want our $150 key fob replacement charge to be refunded in its entirety. I also want out air temperature controller to be diagnosed and fixed to my satisfaction completely free of charge. Simply stated, it is the right thing to do.
