My vehicle has been sitting in the parking space in the parking lot unrepaired for almost 4 months. I was told my car FINISHED and just waiting for a car wash. I went to the dealership saw it sitting in th parking lot unrepaired for almost 4 months. I was told my car FINISHED and just waiting for a car wash. I went to the dealership saw it sitting in the same space untouched. So I asked for the Service Director and was told he is in a meeting and and the tech was going to start it after he came back from lunch. I went back a week later because again I did not receive any update it still sat in the same parking space. I asked again for the service Director and was told he was in a meeting he will call you. I did not receive not receive a call again. But I was able to speak with a different service advisor, who confirmed with the Tech, the tech had not started on my vehicle and had made a complaint that management kept giving him other cars and the tech said he had not be able to get to my vehicle. At this point I was told it was being started on for two weeks and NOTHING was done. I have reached out during this process numerous of time to Tim Whitehead and always told he was unavailable. Today I was told if I want to speak to him I have to come in again. While my vehicle sits in the same spot since Jan 27 and today is April 14. When the service Director will not even pickup a phone, there is no responsibility to be truthful. I was promised a call and got a text saying work has started on my vehicle. The tech is off today so he will continue repairs tomorrow once he comes back in to work, from the service advisor, who told all the parts were in when they were not and has told over and over again the work has been started while the vehicle sits in the same spot since Jan 27. So if the Tech started replacing the engine while my vehicle has not moved from the same space this is complete unprofessional parking lot engine and turbo replacement. The lies truly just don't to make sense. This experience is making it really hard to stay Brand loyal, I've been purchasing with Hyundai since 2008 for myself and my children. 9 cars totaled. This has been the WORST EXPERIENCE I have EVER Had with Hyundai Service. My daughter's sonata even had a engine replaced, nothing at all like this experience. More

I took my car into McDonough Hyndai for my first service maintenance for my car. And I was extremely blessed to have had Mr. Justin Johnson to close out my repair order. My interaction was remarkable with J maintenance for my car. And I was extremely blessed to have had Mr. Justin Johnson to close out my repair order. Mr. Johnson did more than assisted me he went a step further and made me feel like I was Queen Elizabeth as he truly treated me with a kindness that I had never experienced on this level. I absolutely know beyond a shadow of doubt that if every company would give this top notch customer service the world would never ever have a negative comment period. I had an 11:00 appointment for oil change, tire rotation, and paint issue. I was checked in just before 11 and was told vehicle would be ready by 1:00. Vehicle came into the garage at 1:00, services were per and paint issue. I was checked in just before 11 and was told vehicle would be ready by 1:00. Vehicle came into the garage at 1:00, services were performed and brought back to the service writer area where it sat for a half hour. I had to ask a service writer if it was done and he said yes and "offered" to finished up the paperwork. He was not my service writer but was very helpful in wrapping things up. The paint issue was not addressed until I asked him about it. He documented the issue with the paint defect as I requested and was very vague on whether Hyundai would authorize a repair. I feel the service manager should have been involved in the paint issue. I was finally on my way at 2:30. The only positive was that the vehicle was returned clean. They only reason I traveled 50 minutes to this dealership is because of the bad reputation of my local dealer and the fact that I purchased it here. More
So disappointed, i really wanted to like and support this place. I had to edit my review as the service department is a completely different experience. 2/15/25: 8:30am arrival for a 8:45 appointment to place. I was asked if it takes longer than a couple hours could I leave it? I said yes and went to have a seat. For such a new building, there are very few power outlets so I'm thinking they dont expect you to be here for hours. 11:30am No update but I noticed my car was locked and parked off to the side in the app. I asked a service advisor what was the status and apparently it was marked as a drop off instead of a wait. I was told it wouldnt be ready until first thing Monday AM. So, i've wasted my time already so I asked if I can get a loaner and was told that there is a waiting list. I said shouldnt I be moved up the waiting list since I have sat here with an appointment and now being told it cant be done until Monday? That didnt matter so I called and had someone pick me up. 2/17/25: 11:00am No Update so I call and no one answers and goes to a voicemail that I left my information on. I called repeatedly again at 12:00pm No update and aall again and no one answers. 2:30pm No update and the app says the car is in the exact same position it was in on Friday so nothing has been done. Plus the status link I got by text and email shows nothing has been done as well. I call again and finally got someone to answer. They transferred me to mySA so I left a message. 5:00pm I get a message that the car was ready but they they close at 6pm. Then I get a contradicting message that a part was ordered and if I wanted to leave it or not. I called back and left another message asking how long it would take, should I get a rental, etc...No call back. 2/20/25 1:00pm Still no communication again so I called 1pm to see if the part came in and was informed by the parts department that it came in that morning. There was no email, text, call saying it came in like I was told I would receive. Assuming it wasnt just sitting there, surely they installed it, I called the service line and was told my SA was off and someone else would help. After being transferred and getting voicemails several times I finally got a real person who said it HAD NOT been installed and someone would call me back! There was no call back or any communication for that matter. 2/21/25: 10:30am Still no communication so again I called and told the receptionist that I needed an update on my car but I also do not want Tony or Steven's voicemail as they have yet to return my calls. She said they were the only ones who could give a status and that she would personally go ask them while I held. When she returned she said that Tony was calling me at an unknown number and thats why I wasnt getting any communication. Mind you, I have never had this number and I got text messages and even a voicemail reminder about my appointment on my correct phone number. I even got one voicemail on my alternate number. So why all of a sudden is this unknown number is the primary for communication. Anyway, She has been the most helpful and said Tony would call me back shortly. 11:50am SA calls and I'm told nothing has been done with the part since it arrived and now the tech that was working on it is out and to give him an hour to follow up with a status. 4:00pm No update. 2/22/25 After poor communication and being told no tech was available to install a warranty part for a week, we finally had to show up in person and talk with the service manager who amazingly got everything done the same day and made everything right again. I would of given 5 stars but it shouldn't of taken the service manager to get something done. Ironically, the person who deserves the praise (Steven) isnt even listed under the Service Dept. yet the person who doesnt is listed. More
