I would walk to work before buying another car from McDonald. We have never felt so unappreciated after an auto purchase. We bought a new Volvo XC90 from McDonald last month. The experience at the dealership was fairly smooth. Marion Ladd was our salesman. Matt Daniel was our finance manager. We negotiated what we considered to be a fair deal and then went thru the signing process with Matt. He gave us his card and assured us if we had any questions we could call him at any hour. My wife received a call from Chad, a sales manager, several weeks after the purchase. He stated that McDonald had miscalculated the sales tax and we would need to pay an additional $760 out of pocket. My wife was a bit confused why someone we had never met was following up and asking for more cash. I called and left Matt a message. After not receiving a call back, I called him again. He picked up and I explained our frustration. He said he would need to speak with someone above him to find a resolution. I never heard from Matt again. I left four follow up messages. Growing more frustrated, I got on the McDonald website to find the phone number for Chad. I called and spoke to Chad. He said there was nothing he could do and he wondered why I would call Matt to ask about it. This response shows they are not serious business people. The relationship was with Marion and Matt. We shouldn’t receive outreach from someone who had nothing to do with the transaction. We dropped off a check today. We had no other option because the car needs to be registered. McDonald stated they needed to submit the payment because the DMV would have no record of this transaction til they did. Matt didn’t have any additional info. He stated Chad wanted to handle this. We could have returned the car within 30 days but due to McDonald not responding to our outreach the 30 days lapsed. We will not buy another vehicle from any of the McDonald dealerships. It’s sad they took an experience that should have been joyous and made it a frustrating one. We were even offered as much as a complimentary oil change. Run away! Or risk an expensive clerical error that will come back to bite you. More
This service center here is shady. When I called to make the appointment, I asked directly if there was a cost for a brake inspection and was specifically told no. I drove 30 minutes this morning to be told by Dan that I had to pay 150 for the inspection or I had to get an oil change for there to be no cost for the inspection?! They flat out lied to get me in the door. Furthermore, when I bought the car, the person that sold me the car started texting me trying to take me out. When I didn't respond to his text fast enough, he became rude and aggressive. Stay away from this place. More
Purchased a vehicle on 4/26/2025 as of 9/03/2025 I still do not have the actual title, I am on my third and final temp tag (expires in 2 days) and the dealership is blaming the DMV for being behind, I've be do not have the actual title, I am on my third and final temp tag (expires in 2 days) and the dealership is blaming the DMV for being behind, I've been to the DMV and they have ZERO record of my paperwork being sent to them - they've checked by VIN, name, etc. McDonald continued to not provide me information about when the paperwork was sent - finally told me it was sent May 5th after multiple requests, how the original title application and title were sent to the DMV, what tracking information is available (if any) to trace things - will not divulge this. The dealership just gives me the run around, the finance manager sends me to the title clerk. The title clerk blames the DMV. No one will directly answer my questions. I finally got the name of the third-party processor that the dealership uses - considering calling them to track things but I bet they don't talk to the general public. I called the third-party processor, and they have a Colorado office. I spent 19 minutes on hold as the first person in line on the phone queue with the third-party processor and once I talked to them they basically said they can't give me any information but they will have an account executive call the dealership - I'm sure that's going to result in nothing but at least they offered to help me. I also see that this business is not BBB accredited and doesn't respond to BBB complaints. More

Sophie was our sales representative and she was kind, thorough, and not overly pushy like at some other dealerships. Her sales style is one of the reasons we chose McDonald, and we are grateful for her support and guidance. Our Volvo is amazing and we are simply thrilled! More
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at this center. I scheduled a 9:00 AM appointment for routine maintenance on my one-year-old car. When I arrived, Leah of the customer service at the service center asked if I wanted to drop it off. I said yes, assuming the appointment time still held meaning and that the car would be serviced while I was away. After waiting over five and a half hours with no update or message, I returned because I needed my car to pick up my kids at school—only to be told my car hadn’t even been looked at. I was then informed that because I chose to drop off instead of wait, I was not a priority and would have to wait all day. However, if I had waited onsite, the service would’ve taken about 90 minutes. This was never communicated to me. Had I known, I would have made a different choice and planned my day accordingly. As a busy parent of three, this wasted my entire day. When I explained I had to leave to pick up my children, I was asked if I could come back after. Honestly, that level of disregard for a customer’s time and responsibilities is unacceptable. The real issue here isn’t the delay—it’s the lack of communication and transparency. If appointments don’t mean anything unless you physically stay there, that should be clearly explained up front. I hope this center takes feedback seriously, because this was a frustrating and avoidable experience. More
I had a very terrible experience with McDonald Volvo today. As of today March 17th, My lease buyout is not taken care off even though I purchased on Feb 11th. I still had to pay for the lease on Feb 16t today. As of today March 17th, My lease buyout is not taken care off even though I purchased on Feb 11th. I still had to pay for the lease on Feb 16th the dealer did not take care off the purchase disbursement. I called again on the end of February to follow up on the lease buyout and was told payment was sent Feb 21th. However, The lease payment never stopped and still had to pay for March 16th. I called again last week on March 10th to clarify on the lease buyout and REALIEZED THEY LIED TO ME. THE NEVER TOOK CARE THE LEASE BUYOUT THAT THEY TOLD ME AND PROMISED THEY WOULD SEND THE PAYTMENT TODAY 3/10 WITH BE PROCESSED AND CLEARED WITHIN 3-4 BUSINESS DAYS. Today, I called Volvo Finance to check on the pay out and they still have not received the fund. I TRIED TO CALL DEALER SHIP AGAIN TO ASK ABOUT LEASE BUYOUT FUND AND SALE MANAGE MICAH OWENS YELLED AT ME AND SAID THAT I HARRASH HIM. I refused to assist me with further information and lease buyout. He left me to handle the payment by myself although it was their fault not sending the payment on time. I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY AND UNPROFESSIONAL IN THIS SITUATION AND THIS ATTITUDE FROM THE DEALSHIP, ESPECIALY FORM SALE MANAGER MADE ME FEEL DISCRIMINATED. I am 2 times returning customer at McDonald Volvo, but I would never recommend this dealership due to their unprofessional, an unethical, and discriminating attitude toward the customer. More
This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. Sam tried to sell me an overpriced car. He assured me several times that it was a great price and they couldn't come down even $100. It was actually Sam tried to sell me an overpriced car. He assured me several times that it was a great price and they couldn't come down even $100. It was actually priced more than 10k over blue book and Sam was a liar. They pressured us to put a deposit on a vehicle we didn't even have the correct information on. These people are predators. Shop anywhere else, these people will not do you any favors. More
Last November, I worked with Daniel Dornan at McDonald Volvo to purchase my Volvo XC90 Plug-in Hybrid. From our first phone call, he was professional, responsive, and service-oriented. I had already done Volvo to purchase my Volvo XC90 Plug-in Hybrid. From our first phone call, he was professional, responsive, and service-oriented. I had already done my research and knew what I was looking for, and Daniel made the process easy—confirming they had the model, explaining available incentives, and even providing pricing details so I would know what to expect when I came in. When I visited the next day, the car was ready for a test drive. Since this was my first-time leasing, I had a lot of questions to ensure the terms met my needs. Daniel was incredibly patient, taking the time to walk me through everything. What stood out most was how seamlessly the entire team at McDonald Volvo worked together. If Daniel didn’t have an answer, he quickly found someone who did ensuring I always had the right information. It was clear that the team operated with a shared goal—providing a good customer experience. Even after the sale, their support continued. Daniel was responsive to my follow-up questions, answering emails promptly. The whole experience was straightforward and stress-free. More
Worst car buying experience I have ever had. I felt completely disrespected. I was given a completely low ball price for my trade in and told to go to CarMax. I left and they offered me 4k more I felt completely disrespected. I was given a completely low ball price for my trade in and told to go to CarMax. I left and they offered me 4k more in cash on the spot. I was also offered the same amount from 3 other dealerships. I went back to Volvo and told them this. I was told Volvo has different standards hat Toyota, Chevrolet and CarMax and that's why the trade in they offered me was 4 k less than the others. The manager did then offer me 3k more. I again asked about the additional 1 k and was told the tax credit would make it about 10k. I was given a ridiculously high estimate for the damage to my car I was trading in. I had to go back three times for different reasons; one reason was they forgot to have me sign paperwork for the financing. I unfortunately trusted them to find the lowest interest rate as they assured me they did, only to find out a friend went to them the same week and was offered a much lower rate (we have similar credit scores and purchasing was similar). When I first went to look at the vehicle, I did not notice any damage. The report listed a crack or chip in the windshield but nothing else. I looked over the windshield and found nothing, they said "it must have been fixed". I went back to get the car and noticed the dent over the passenger rear wheel well. I mentioned to them and was completely blown off. I was told, "well that's a lot of work to fix that dent." I recently asked for clarification regarding my financing and the maintenance package I purchased and was completely ignored. I was warned not to go here from a stranger I met in a park. She said to go to Rickenbaugh. I wish I had listened. The staff is very condescending and I don't trust them at all. I did not feel respected or taken care of. I was ignored on several occasions and wish I could just return the car and start over. Live and learn. Hopefully my review will at least protect another person from making the same mistake.
