I took my jeep in because it was leaking antifreeze. They took several multi-day appts before they found the issue. I had a blown head gasket. After months of waiting for parts to come in and my miles going over warranty, they got me in. Still covered under warranty. They told me it was an 8 hr job and they needed 2 days to do it. I made an appt for Thursday and Friday of the following week. I use my jeep for work on a mail rt, so when I don't have it I have to take vacation days from work. Well tomorrow will be 10 days vacation I've had to use for that 8 hr job. It has now been 2 weeks that they've had it. It's very frustrating that it is taking this long. I was okay with 2 days, but 2 weeks is completely ridiculous. That means they did less than 1 hours work per 8 hour day. They took 10 working days to accomplish an 8 hour job. They clearly have no concern for their customers. They took 10 vacation days from me for an 8 hour warranty job. More
When I stopped in to schedule service on my Jeep Wrangler for an accelerator that stuck in full throttle, I was totally ignored. When I finally found someone to acknowledge me, they acted like they didn't c for an accelerator that stuck in full throttle, I was totally ignored. When I finally found someone to acknowledge me, they acted like they didn't care and wouldn't even give me a date to bring it in. Even during normal maintenance appointments in the past, they have not been overly friendly or helpful. I will not return! More
Don't understand needing an inspection I have a jeep compass and a great mechanic that keeps it ridding like new. I got a leak from the seal on tranny being a dealership only fix ( which the tool and fluid is available online very cheap ) the mechanic told me he could get the job done if wanted. Seeing the warning sticker I decided to take it to dealership to set up an appointment. Told the service guy the problem and what needed to be changed asking how much it would be. He didn't really seem to care about the problem. And began telling me I need an inspection that would take 45mins. I responded I don't need an inspection you can see it's the seal that's All I wanted. He responded that's how his guys get paid. I left immediately no drama just very disappointed. The time early this year they wanted 80$ just in labor to put on front mud flaps. Btw all bays empty dead at 11am More
Bad experience. We are very disappointed, we dropped James' truck off around June 12th telling them that the transmission went out while driving on the highway, fully We are very disappointed, we dropped James' truck off around June 12th telling them that the transmission went out while driving on the highway, fully willing to buy a new transmission from the dealership. They checked the truck out and insisted it wasn't the transmission. They have now had his truck for close to 2 months, after even sending it to another dealership because they did not have time or staff to get to it. It finally returned to the Clare dealership after hearing next to nothing, just to find out that it IS indeed the transmission. They said it would take about a week to get a new one in and a few days to put it in. Well, that was 3 weeks ago! Still no transmission. The only way we get updates is if we call there to ask if it is done. We have been MORE than patient with this whole process, I think it is time people know how their customer service really is. This is NOT the first time we have has issues here and we will not return once this process is finished. More
Have never had a more pleasurable experience with a dealership, fro the purchase to service to parts. These guys are the greatest and will continue to do business with them even though they are over 6 dealership, fro the purchase to service to parts. These guys are the greatest and will continue to do business with them even though they are over 60 miles away. We have other dealerships closer and have not had the professionalism that McDonald in Clare offers. More
Very disappointed! My first car I bought from here had a great experience so bought a second one, Had a couple problems service told me everything would be taken care of, turned out to be warped rotors so t great experience so bought a second one, Had a couple problems service told me everything would be taken care of, turned out to be warped rotors so they say. Picked up my car got on the highway with my kids in the car for the same thing to be wrong, so I drove it straight back. I suggest if the problem is over 65 mph then test drive it over 65 mph. They didn't even bleed the brakes after replacing them I went to stop and they went all the way to the floor. Turns out not the rotors it seems to be an extremely bent rim. Owning my car for 3 weeks I have only had it for 1 of those. Now just waiting to see who is going to pay for this. Overall my opinion is the service dept. has no idea what they are doing. My business with this company is done More
