10/25/08 went to meet my husband to look at some vehicles. mind you i had just spent several hours at the dealership about a month ago. My husband and i have bought 3 cars previously from Mccklosky. vehicles. mind you i had just spent several hours at the dealership about a month ago. My husband and i have bought 3 cars previously from Mccklosky. From the moment we walked in the door some guy pulled out a book and started the scam. the deal where you pay 300.00 a month for 2 years for 7200.00 and 21% interest. they had the nerve to show us a raggedy car with 100,000 miles and seem to get flustered and suprised when we didn't even want to waste our time anymore with them. We will not discuss the treatment given with the last purchase. Anyway with the oprevious purchase i dealt with almost everyone iun the building and this time not one of them acknowledged us as a customer which really says something abot your customer service policies. If i have to walk i will never deal with your dealership again. And remember word of mouth will move in this town pretty fast. People work hard for their money and i think it is really a shame that Mr&Mrs. MCcklosky are making commercials as if they care about their customers. More
Where do I begin. First of all the person we had a scheduled meeting with was not even there when we got there. They had sent him to Pueblo to do something else. Then we get another guy who was suppos scheduled meeting with was not even there when we got there. They had sent him to Pueblo to do something else. Then we get another guy who was supposed to be our original salesperson's partner and he said he would help us. NOT! He then handed us off to another guy that got all our information and showed us a couple vehicles. After we saw the last vehicle, we were then handed off to yet another salesperson! After about 2 hours we had spoken with one of the sales managers and he told us that he had gotten us approved and we were set to go. We singed papers but were unable to give the $1500 upfront. We set a promise to pay date 7 days after the initial purchase and were good to go. We drove out of there thinking everything was fine. WRONG AGAIN!!! 1 month later we get a phone call telling us that they were UNABLE TO SECURE FINANCING and we had to bring the vehicle back in or we'd have to give an additional $2500! We were not able to give the $2500 so we decided to take the vehicle back. Now during our initial conversation we were told that upot returning the vehicle we would receive the $1500 back. YET ANOTHER LIE!! We were charge $50 and $.50 per mile for every day we used the vehicle. Since they waited an ENTIRE MONTH before calling to let us know they couldn't get the financing, we ended up losing the $1500 and having to pay them and additional $500!!! My advice to anyone dealing with these people is to make sure your financing is secured before you leave the dealership. More

First off, I filled out a 10% discount coupon on the website, bigjoeauto. It did not say that after you left you name and phone number, that you would get a flood of calls from these people even though website, bigjoeauto. It did not say that after you left you name and phone number, that you would get a flood of calls from these people even though after the first time thaey called you asked them not to call again. This one female called everyday for a week. I wanted to see the car I was interested in at the Academy Blvd. dealership. I pulled into the parking lot, stepped out of my car had one foot out car door and I was attacked by the vultures. These people would not leave me alone. I will never... ever go back again. I wanted to write this to warn everyone... STAY AWAY! Don't let those stupid TV spots fool you. These people are in it for one thing. I'm going to Phil Long! More
I went to McCloskey after dealing with Phil Long Ford. My credit is not the best. Phil Long wanted me to put $5000.00 down and stick me with 21% intrest on a 2006 Mustang costing $13,995. I went online and credit is not the best. Phil Long wanted me to put $5000.00 down and stick me with 21% intrest on a 2006 Mustang costing $13,995. I went online and found a 2004 silver convertable Mustang for $12,644. I went in and Omar met me at the door. I told him that I was looking at the 2004 Mustang, and if he could get me financed I would be interested in getting it. I told Omar that I would not be interested in anything else on there lot. He got right to work on it. ran my credit. He never mad me feel bad about my credit sitiuation. He asked me what I would be able to put dowwn. I told him $2000. He talked to his manager (Jeff). It was very quick. He came back with some numbers. I had to put down $3,700. I told them all I had was $2000.00. Omar went to his manager. When he came back he said that they would take the $2000.00 down and they would give me 3 weeks to get the other $1700.00. After I agreed to that. It was a done deal. The best part of this deal was handled by Rick in the finance dept. He shopped around for the Rate he could get for me. It took him 3 days. He was able to get me a great rate. I was shocked that he got me 12.99% from a local credit union. The next day the back passenger window would not roll down. I took it to McClosky service dept. They fixed the problem at no charge. Went to dealer after another tried to charge 23% interest and we refused. Took about 3 hours, had the perfect vehicle, a little higher price than expected, but hey, the vehicle had been modified by previous and we refused. Took about 3 hours, had the perfect vehicle, a little higher price than expected, but hey, the vehicle had been modified by previous owner, was awesome, we had finance papers signed and finished with awesome interest rate, 1300.00 down, walked out very pleased with everything! About a week later the vehicle started making a noise, called dealer & had repair shop call within the hour to schedule check, they took care of everything, plus gave free service for year! Understand that everyone doesn't have perfect experiance, but we had great service, was very satisfied and WILL be going back SOON~ More
I will never, ever recommend McCloskey Motors to anyone. I purchased a used car from them and had the car for 2 weeks. I then received a phone call stating that they could not arrange financing for that pa I purchased a used car from them and had the car for 2 weeks. I then received a phone call stating that they could not arrange financing for that particular car, and I needed to purchase a 2002 or newer model. The car I originally purchased was an 01 model. I made it very clear to them that I could not afford payments over $200.00 per month. I was then sold an 06 model with a payment of $325 per month. I was told that was the ONLY vehicle they could arrange financing for. If I didn't buy the car, I would be liable for the original car I purchased to the tune of $50.00 per day and .50 cents per mile. After purchasing the car, I looked up Kelly Blue Book (yes, should have done that before) and I paid well over $1,000 more than the Kelly Blue Book. I also found the original registration for the car in with the owner manual only to discover the original purchase price (brand new) was over $2,000 less than what I paid! I took the vehicle back to the dealership the very next day to discuss the situation and try to renegotiate the price based on the info I had. I was told to basically take my paperwork and hit the door. I have NEVER been treated so rudely and disrespectfully in my life ~ especially while making such a major purchase. I told them that I was going to leave the car, didn't want it and certainly didn't want to do business with them. I was told they would have the vehicle towed to my house! These people are scoundrels and live up to the bad rap that used car salesman so deserve!!! Don't even think about purchasing ANYTHING from these rip off artists!! More
Bring a Tape Recorder if you find yourself having to do business with this dealership. We went to purchase a vehicle end of Sept, signed the paperwork on one 29th of Sept, did not hear from them until I ca business with this dealership. We went to purchase a vehicle end of Sept, signed the paperwork on one 29th of Sept, did not hear from them until I called to check on what was going on with my trade payoff being that I was receiving threating phone calls from my previous creditor. NO RESPONSE ..Finally a Manager from a different location contacted me. Saying this was a miscommunication...? NO it was neglectful service. I am livid at this point in time. It has been 3 weeks and the dates the Manager at the other location was throwing out did not even match the dates on my paperwork. He told me to read the contract but that does not matter..If you run a business and you have people lying about things and then you just fall back on a little clause..DOES NOT WORK. NOT GOOD BUSINESS. I was informed that they had not even found a loan, they have not attempted to pay off my vehicle and they were trying to work a deal that night..3 weeks later. Somthing needs to be done about these practices and how these people deal with others. Criminal and Cold. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. More
I went to McCloskey motors during one of the huge sales events at the World Arena. The actual day of my purchase everything went very well. Both Joe McCloskey, Jr. and Mike Phillips were very nice and ve events at the World Arena. The actual day of my purchase everything went very well. Both Joe McCloskey, Jr. and Mike Phillips were very nice and very professional. Because the transaction happened later on Saturday night we were not able to secure financing. I was told by Mr. Phillips to visit the dealership on Monday and we would sort everything out. So, on Monday I made the 42 mile drive from my home to McCloskey Motors only to find that Mr. Phillips was not there. I was asked to come back the next day. So, the next day I made the long trip again and Mr. Phillips told me that he couldn't help me because he hadn't heard back from the financing company yet, and that he would call me when he needed me again. I was frustrated at this point and decided I would take matters into my own hands and attempt to arrange financing on my own. So, I went to my own bank and got a quote on a loan. I didn't get the loan at that time, however, as I felt it appropriate to contact the dealership first. So, I placed a phone call to Mr. Phillips and left him a voice mail. I called every day for 4 weeks without any response. So, I made the 42 mile drive to the dealership again and was told face to face that they probably weren't going to be able to get financing for me and that I would have to return the car and pay the huge fees for the mileage on it. I told him that I had my own financing and that I would arrange for payment to be made before the end of the week. So, the day before I was to go finalize the loan with my own bank I receive a phone call from one of the people I had listed as a reference. Mr. McCloskey had called and left a message on their phone stating that they were going to report my car stolen because I had not arranged for financing on the vehicle. He also said that it was my responsibility to find financing because my credit score was too low for them. He then went on to state my credit score on the phone message. So, I called the dealership asking what was going on. Mr. Phillips stated that I had not answered the phone over the previous three weeks when they had been calling and that they had reported my car as stolen. The only contact telephone number they had for me was my cell phone number and I checked my statements. No call had been received from any of the listed dealership numbers or from the cell phones of Mr. Phillips or Mr. McCloskey and my statements show any call that I answer or that goes to my voice mail. I called him back and explained this to him. He then proceeded to tell me that it must be my lucky day because he had just secured financing for me, but that I had to drop a check off to him before close that day or my account would be charged a late fee. So, I get into my vehicle, drive the 42 miles AGAIN and drop off a check to him. This company violated the law numerous times throughout our interactions and truly made me regret doing business with them. Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake that I did! More
