The customer service was excellent! I was greeted with a smile and how are you. Rick and Mike helped with all of our questions, and even got us into the vehicle we wanted. And even worked with us on payment smile and how are you. Rick and Mike helped with all of our questions, and even got us into the vehicle we wanted. And even worked with us on payment time, fees, and lower rates. They even had someone pick us up from our house so we could make it in before the car was showed to anybody else. I will gladly refer anybody looking for a vehicle to Mccloskey Motors. More
Went into Big Joe's just to look around and drove home with a new Suzuki. I couldn't turn down the good offer they made me or the attention I got. We knew that we needed a vehicle that was newer than his falling apart '93 jeep. We had been looking around at small sized trucks, such as the Ford Ranger. We decided to take a look around McCloskey because we knew they were having some pretty good deals that weekend. My boyfriend and I had arrived on a cold, snowy Saturday just to take a look around. Renee was the only employee outside braving the cold to greet her customers. So she took us inside the nice warm building to gather information on what we were looking for. She had offered to drive us to McCloskey's other locations just to look at trucks that day :). But it wasn't until she asked if we had looked into the Suzuki Equator. We were flabbergasted! "Suzuki makes a truck?!" we asked. So she took us outside again and showed us the Equator. My boyfriend and I had absolutely fallin in love. But we were concerned that a 2012 vehicle would be over our price range. But I wasn't! We know own a brand NEW truck with payments we can actually afford. And three days after our purchase Renee had sent us a handwritten thank you letter in the mail :). I would recommend McCloskey and especially Renee to anyone an everyone! More
I have a few minor complaints about Mccloskey's, but overall, it was not a terrible experience (Buying a car is a pain no matter where you go). I do see a common trend in some complaints, with things I overall, it was not a terrible experience (Buying a car is a pain no matter where you go). I do see a common trend in some complaints, with things I experienced as well. Like financing and communication issues but it's not the end of the world. The first time I went into McCloskey's it was an awful experience, the guy who helped me, made me feel unimportant and treated me like I was poor. Weird I know, it's hard to explain. I vowed to never go back there again. Well, my "trusty" old Jeep decided to stop working, and I needed to get a new car. I was told they are one of the dealers that would love to work with me, so I decided I would give them another chance (you can't always let one negative person define an entire company). Melissa was upfront and nice, very relate-able. I told her what I wanted and she found the car that fit my needs right away. She is fantastic and gave me good advice. We did seem to have a miscommunication about my co-signer though and this is where my main complaint comes in. I have a car loan in my name and I knew it would cause problems. My step dad, is unemployed, but it's attached to an employer, so when they get work, he gets hired again. I don't know if I didn't communicate that properly or not, but they said it wasn't an issue. I had the car for over a week and I get a call saying there may be a problem, then I call to touch base and they tell me there is a problem. Okay, not a big deal but I was under the impression I was already approved. So I get another cosigner, I call when Tom tells me too and ask if everything went through with the new cosigner. He says yes, so I drive my happy self down there on my day off to sign the paper work. I get there and he says I need yet another cosigner since this one has another car loan, okay again not a big deal, and yes it's annoying, but not their fault, why the heck would they purposefully let a $13,000 payment from the bank walk away? They wouldn't and haven't =). But I couldn't get a call telling me this? You make me drive all the way down there? I have driven down there 5 times since I bought the car, I think that's a lot especially since the car is in great condition. But it's okay, I just wish there was more communication. It;s okay though, like I said it's minor. Luckily I have Tori and Tom working ridiculously hard on this and I do believe they are doing everything in their power to get me financed. They also explained how the banks work and why there were various issues. So not a terrible experience, just almost good. I think they are trying to help me and I can appreciate that. More
I went out looking for a car praying that i would get a vehical that id like without putting my soul on the line. i ended up almost falling over when they said they could get me in a brand new car at a mon vehical that id like without putting my soul on the line. i ended up almost falling over when they said they could get me in a brand new car at a monthly payment i could afford. Life throws stuff at you at the worst possible times and i thought i wouldnt be able to keep my awesome car, i was heart broken. I went back to them with the worst in mind and in the end i got to keep my car(that i love) and left the dealership with a new found respect for car dealerships. id recomend Mccloskey motors to anyone and everyone with the knowledge that they would get a vehical for someone i care about and that they would leave just as happy as i did. Car dealerships wouldnt have such a bad rap if they conducted buisness like mccloskey motors.I can say that in good consious. More
We had an appointment and walked into the main dealership on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, and met Cody. Cody was very nice and friendly. He did keep in contact with us as well. As that was one of our prev on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, and met Cody. Cody was very nice and friendly. He did keep in contact with us as well. As that was one of our previous issues, we were thankful for that. We found a car we would have liked to try and purchase but we knew we were upside down on our trade. We talked to Mark after he test drove the Kia. He showed us on paper that the value he found for the Rondo was $9,450 and he put in writing that you would offer $9,000 for the trade but that still left us some inequity to deal with. We told Mark and Cody to go ahead and see if there was another vehicle you had on the lot we could work a deal on and left. Cody did call us on Thursday and kept in contact. We talked to Cody on Friday, November 11, 2011, and he said they did not think there was anything they could do so we told him we would talk to him on Saturday morning to see what the issue was and what kind of car we could look at. We went into the main dealership at 8:30, when you are supposed to open, and found 3 salesmen there and the building locked. We drove down to the Truck Town location and talked with Cody there. He told us the only thing they could do was work on a deal with a new Suzuki. I realize that is the main vehicle you sell; however, we were not impressed with the handling of the Suzuki we test drove previously and did not want to purchase one. We went into the office to speak with Mike, as that is the person Cody told us was handling the purchase for us. He came out to talk with us and I have never been so insulted in a business in my life. He had an attitude from the minute he walked out to talk to us and you could tell from his demeanor he did not want to deal with us. We talked about the sale and he informed us about the offer of only $8000 for the Rondo. I know cars do depreciate but not $1,000 in 3 days. We also told him we knew that the NADA had a higher value for the Rondo and Mike told us “then go have NADA purchase your vehicle.” At that point we walked out of your dealership. Due to our previous complaint, I felt you might not want to deal with us but I NEVER expected to be treated so rudely and with such disregard for human feelings. If you did not want to deal with us at the beginning, you should have said something instead of going through the motions. There was NO reason to lie to us about the price of the trade in in order to not have to deal with us. Due to the treatment this time, this will be the last time we do go to a McCloskey dealership. There is no trust in a relationship of buyer and seller when the seller lies to you and treats you like dirt. If there is no trust, there is no relationship. More
I had a really great car buying experience. Chick was so nice and had a great personality. He made this so much fun for me. I was not happy about needing to buy a car and had a bit of a negative attitude an nice and had a great personality. He made this so much fun for me. I was not happy about needing to buy a car and had a bit of a negative attitude and he did not let that stop him from making this the best experience possible for me. It was also very quick. I was done within three to four hours instead of all day. And they were able to find a lender for me which I did not think was possible. I am telling everyone I know "go see Chick. Yes that's his name. He is awesome.". By the way, his friend Dean is pretty cool too. More
