Jamey assisted my daughter in explaining all the features the car had to offer. Also we appreciated Jamey for coming in of his day off to help us in show us the car! Everyone we encountered in the process of buying the car was professional and personable, and I would choose Masada of South Charlotte again for any further car purchases. More

The gorgeous interior and all the features really outdo m old Lexus. Bobby and Mo were awesome helping us even though we came in near closing time. Mo still took the time to give us a great test drive and teach me how to use all the new features while Bobby got us signed and out in record time. It’s by far the best buying experience we’ve ever had! More

C Long story short, while speaking with Chris, the internet manager, about a SUBARU on their lot, he stated a price different than cargurus reflected. Chris said he'd give honor the price listed on cargurus ($19,785), but when it came time to talk money the story changed. Mike, unclear of his title, said he would not honor Chris' word and gave a litany of reasons why and the cost of service they had to do to the vehicle. I told Mike if they couldn't honor a fellow employee's promise - a manager at that- then there was nothing more to discuss. Mike asked if he could interest me in another car. My response, if you're not going tl honor your word, why would I give you my business? I left disappointed on seversl levels, but took comfort in knowing Mazda South Charlotte is about the dollar padding their pockets than honor. My sales person was RJ and a good experience. He's a nice guy and the only reason i gave a 1 star rating. (On his own, 4, i feel.like he could have pressed management a bit more). More

He was extremely he I met Don Reese years ago when I was just looking at SUVs and had never really considered a Mazda before then (no special reason). He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable but I was just doing research and was not ready to change. He kept in touch every once in a while to let me know about deals, but was always polite and never annoying. I went back to Mazda on April 28, 2019 unannounced to find him but he was with a customer. He actually remembered me, spoke briefly to me and apologized for not being able to help at the moment, but asked his colleague RJ Black to assist instead of asking me to come back another day. I was sure I was not walking out with anything that day, so it was fine. I had been comparing and test driving different brands and types of SUVs over the month and wanted to come to a decision by the end of May. RJ answered all my questions, took me for a test drive in a CX-5, which fit my needs, and even let me see if it would fit into my garage (I live close by). I fell in love.with this vehicle. Smooth ride and loads of power without feeling overpowering. RJ was very patient with me and extremely knowledgeable as he continued to answer more questions, ensured that I felt like I was making the right choice and showed me more details. He worked out some numbers and the General Manager, Bobby, came in as well. I started feeling pressured at first, but when he explained the deal I was getting that went above and beyond my expectations, I couldn't say no. The deal was fantastic, so far the car is wonderful (only had it for 2.5 days) and RJ and the staff at Masda of South Charlotte were amazing. My experience with Paul in finance was fast and easy, I even came back the following day with a few more questions and was treated with the same attention and respect. My sincere apologies to Don for not waiting, but I'm not sure that my whole experience could have gone any better. RJ, I truly appreciate your patience, knowledge and honesty. Thanks to everyone at Mazda of South Charlotte!! More

However, the seats were what sold us on the brand. They provided perfect support for my lower back and I expect will be much more comfortable for long trips (we're avoiding the airlines as much as possible). Mike Rouse took the time to understand our needs and was patient throughout the whole process, very transparent about the cars features and capabilities. Very personable as well. It was only when we talked about buying that things became much more opaque, especially once the financial people took over. I had the money to pay cash, but was talked into a lease due to a warranty that could be extended after the lease term. Although the interest was low (.05%), apparently there were other hidden charges that pushed the total well past the MSRP (about $5k), even though the dealer claimed I was getting $6,500 in incentives and manufacturer rebates. Anyway, I came back to see if I could get a better break, and after some tough negotiations with Bobby, was able to pay cash and get the MSRP, with window tinting and paint protection thrown in. I do appreciate the time both Mike and Bobby took to make me happy. The moral of the story is to beware of hidden charges in the lease agreement. Make sure you understand what is being assessed outside the loan. Don't fall for a low interest rate. It's the fees that get you. Add up the down payment, monthly payment x # months in the lease term, and the residual value then subtract off any dealer incentives and that is what you're really paying for the car (assuming near zero interest rates). The problem is that the dealership refuses to follow up on the NC plate paperwork so I can purchase a metal tag. They gave me a paper tag and that has expired months ago. They seem not to be "familiar with the process", or "don't know" how to get my paperwork ; "we'll get back to you". This has been going on for a couple of months, needless to say if I get a ticket from law enforcement for failure to display a proper tag guess who will be paying the ticket? My recommendation to you as a potential customer is to "hold back" several hundred dollars to speed up the process. I perceive my actual problem is living 60 miles away and going to school 130 miles away and I am not going to be a service regular; therefore I am a "nuisance to the sales people". This is their way of saying "goodbye". More

Pretty much everything was taken care of via phone and e-mails since I do not live near the dealership. I worked with Scott Bonack and Don Reese and felt that both were straightforward in answering my questions and addressing concerns. They arranged for an Uber to get me from the airport to the dealer and had paperwork ready upon my arrival. My only issue with the transaction is that I was told the CPO warranty included 12 months/12,000 miles comprehensive coverage IN ADDITION to the remaining factory warranty, plus 7 yrs/100,000 miles powertrain coverage. It was explained differently at the dealership, where I was told by the finance rep that the CPO comprehensive warranty included EITHER the remaining factory warranty OR the CPO warranty of 12 months/12,000 miles, whichever was longer. To me, that made a big difference as I negotiated the purchase price factoring in the value of that warranty coverage. It was explained that this discrepancy was the result of poor communication within the dealership and the either/or scenario was a recent change by Mazda that was known to the finance rep but not the sales guys on the front line. Of course, the finance rep then tried to sell me additional warranty coverage. I trust that the sales department (Scott and Don) were honestly in the dark about the warranty changes and had no intention of being misleading. However, if the dealer wanted to demonstrate good integrity and character, they should have taken responsibility for that mistake and offered me some sort of additional discount or compensation based on the fact that we reached an agreement based on information that was, in fact, not part of the deal. On that, they declined. Bait and switch? I am going to say no. Misunderstanding within the dealership? Probably. But that is on them. The customer should not have to pay the price for that. So far, the vehicle is great and under the right circumstances, I would buy from this dealer again. Just make sure you are ready to verify accuracy of information. Above Average - 3.5 stars More
