Work performed to satisfaction. Thought check in was too sales pitched. Our last 3 service appointments with Mazda New Rochelle have been very disappointing and the most previous one we had on February 11 just made up our mind not to schedule at this dealership anymore. We b have been very disappointing and the most previous one we had on February 11 just made up our mind not to schedule at this dealership anymore. We booked our appointment early at 8:35am last Saturday to beat the crowd, but we ended up waiting for more than 4 hours to complete our 60k recommended service. Chris the agent, informed us about the standard 60k mileage services our CX5 needed and provided us with the price. Minutes later, he informed us that our car had a check engine light on the dashboard and need a battery replacement. We were flabbergasted! I asked him how’s that even possible? Our car is only 2 years old, we did not have that check engine light notification on our way to the dealership, and he’s telling us that right before the mechanic was about to drive our car to the service area, the check engine light appeared. That’s just crazy! We went back and forth and I asked him if he is certain of this issue, and he confirmed that our car battery is now at 30% capacity and that I’ll only last for a week or two. Upon hearing that, we didn’t have a choice but to agree to their recommendation for a $350 battery replacement amidst the feeling of being hustled out of own knowledge. Minutes later I received the mechanic’s inspection video and on he explained everything the car needed especially the battery, but there was just 1 big problem. IT’S NOT OUR CAR ON THE VIDEO!! I immediately went to Chris and let him know about this and he confirmed to us that our car’s key tag was switched to another car’s hence video and the inspection paper were also switched. That is just unacceptable! Had we not watched and examined the inspection video we would’ve been hustled to pay $350 for a battery replacement that our car doesn’t even need! Chris promised us to send the correct inspection video to us (which he never did!) and waived the car rotation fee as a compromise for the long wait and for the miscommunication but it won’t bring back the time we wasted and disappointment we felt for their service. We highly recommend to check your car before service at this dealership and ALWAYS check the inspection video. If not for the comprehensive insurance we bought at this dealership that is not transferrable, we won’t even consider coming back here. More
