First of all, two stars is a pretty high rating for a dealership in my book. 80% deserve one star. Another 15% deserve maybe two stars. So three stars is as good as it ever gets... the top five percent dealership in my book. 80% deserve one star. Another 15% deserve maybe two stars. So three stars is as good as it ever gets... the top five percent. This dealer is not in the top five percent. Complaint #1: From the time I arrived to pick up the car i ordered,it took over three hours of them jerking me around before they would let me sign the papers and leave. They had the car for over a week, so excuses about needing to prep it do not fly. Poor Lidiya, my salesperson, was given the job of stalling me. Not her choice. Oh, you don't want to wait? Fine. Walk away and we will sell it to someone else in an hour. Complaint#2: An $800 dealer surcharge for nothing. They have some BS story about their value add... Maybe $100 worth for the $800 paid. Which is just adding insult to injury when you are already paying full sticker price AND destination charge. Why did they skin me? Because they could. I got probably the last 2021 CX5 turbo on the west coast. Maybe the last one in America. It was nothing personal... They skin everyone on low availability cars. Complaint #3: I buy the car over the phone. They send me to their Configurator website. Choose accessories, apply for credit, etc. I do this. When I arrive to pick up the car, it has none of the accessories i asked for (roof rack and towing hitch) but two thousand dollars worth of crap neither I nor anyone else wants. I have come over 400 miles to pick the car up. Take it, or get a hotel and ride a bus home the next day. In the end, they got me out of there so late that i had to spend the night anyhow. Clever fellows. Complaint #4: I am on the road home the next day and some complete tool (whose name I don't remember... we'll call him Mazdog) calls me because he heard i was unhappy or some such hogwash. I recount my issues to him. He gets angry because I compliment him on skillfully skinning me. "What do you want me to do?" he says. " Fire Lidiya?" NONE of this was Lidiyas fault of course, it was the sales manager's, but heck yeah! Let's blame her for doing as she was ordered. What a typical car sales clown. I tell him so. He then says something even dumber. "Then just bring it back!" Right. And waste two more days on this xxxx show of buying a new car. On the Positive Side: It is a great car. Peppy, with excellent handling and snow traction. I made over twenty trips to Brundage ski resort in it this season. I think traction and performance improved after the tires broke in. Conclusion: My local dealer had no turbo models, and no date for when they might get one. AND they wanted a $2000 dealer mark up on all Mazdas. Hahaha! They get one star. Or zero. Gladstone ended up giving me back $300 for the window etching--pure rip off in the first place--and I spent the money having my local Mazda dealer install the roof rack I ordered. Maybe two stars was being over generous, but I really liked Lidiya, who did her very best, caught between an unethical dealer and a demanding customer. Buying a car has always been a risky thing. Car dealers are designed to part you from as much money as possible. Now, during the government-caused COVID shortage, it is even worse. If you can possibly wait another year or two, before buying, do so. ADED NOTE: This review is very likely to get rejected for being honest and negative. I now understand how a dealer--ANY dealer--could ever have such high ratings. The fix is in. More
Erin and Tyne were so helpful and personable from my first contact and all throughout the transaction. Updating my previous review. I should've trusted my instincts and gone elsewhere. As a Veteran I set a high bar for integrity. This dealership has proven that they meet a far lower bar. The first red flag was our salesman telling us they would split the green car package with us due to our proactive request to forego the "add ons". After telling us no problem, we were contacted day of that "upper management" decided differently. Unfortunately at the mercy of the current car market we reluctantly agreed to purchase the vehicle we had ordered. The second red flag was the errors made during financing. I won't go into details but if my wife did not have a keen eye #'s we'd have lost even more money on our deal. Finally, after getting our new Mazda home we agreed to never step foot in this dealership again. Unfortunately, bad news followed as we found missing items from our cars particular package. After talking with our salesman we were AGAIN assured this would be no problem. Of course this was too good to be true. A week later I find myself jumping through hoops as I'm belittled and coaxed into accepting a mistake made by the dealer. I was told the situation was complex. But in reality we were simply the victims of yet another dealer error. We are still awaiting a refund check from this dealer (which I am not hopeful we'll ever see). It is a difficult time to find and buy a new car. Be patient and diligent when looking over the details of your deal. Trust your gut when it comes to dealing with dealerships. I personally will be going elsewhere for my Mazda's from now on. I suggest you do the same. More

I brought in my 2020 Mazda CX-5 for its 20,000 check-up. There was a misunderstanding on the appointment date but they were able to accommodate me and my service was done in about 45 minutes.
