The salesman Drew that I worked with was great! Very personal able and you could tell he really cared about us! HOWEVER Joe Machens did not hold up their end of the bargain. The engine was squeakin Very personal able and you could tell he really cared about us! HOWEVER Joe Machens did not hold up their end of the bargain. The engine was squeaking when we took it for a test drive and they had agreed to get that fixed before I took it home. After I brought it home, the issue was still there. When we brought the car back in, they told us there was nothing to fix and charged us the $150 diagnostic fee. They also overfilled the oil in my car by 4 quarts so the oil was halfway up the dip stick. Was able to fix that problem ourselves and when we showed the technician there wasn’t even an apology offered for their huge error that could have really damaged the vehicle. I don’t intend to purchase a car from Joe Machens ever again. More

Way overpriced. "fixed" the emissions issue but the engine light still comes on. I don't take it to Machens for diagnosis of the light because they charge for it. Facility badly needs a facelift. The present building is pretty rundown compared to other car dealerships. And it seems like Mazda is subordinate to Mitsubishi in importance. Price for an oil change was outrageous, price quoting tool was over 100$ off. I wish I wish they were not the closest Mazda dealership to me or else I would never use them again. 120$ for an oil change tool was over 100$ off. I have had nothing but an awful buying experience with this dealership. The sales manager promised to payoff the tires on my trade in, didn’t- I got stuck with that bill. The dealership sold me a car that should not have passed inspection and when I began to question why, I was told to be grateful for a loaner car. The sales manager, Zach Brown has to *try* to have as bad of customer service as he does. I wasted my time, and money dealing with this dealership. I will never buy from any JM dealership again, I’ve learned my lesson. More
To start, they had my car in the shop for two months. Late in the game the mechanic asked, “ Is this your daily driver? I was told this wasn’t your daily driver.” The answer is yes it is my daily driver Late in the game the mechanic asked, “ Is this your daily driver? I was told this wasn’t your daily driver.” The answer is yes it is my daily driver and at a time when gas was $5/gal I was driving a truck that gets 15 mpg instead of my car which gets 24 mpg. The car did not get fixed and it ended up costing me ~$1000 plus they had me buy a part for ~$150 which they later ruled out as being the problem. They tore my convertible top and the only thing they said was luckily it was not in an area that would leak. Looks like they glued it to the boom. When they finally gave up, they told me it was a microswitch that they could not get so they gave up. I asked if they tested the microswitch since they had it all apart and it’s simply a continuity test and the mechanic answered no but that’s the code it threw. They had already caused me to buy a part based on the code and the part was not bad, I question why they didn’t just check if the switch worked. So at the end of the day, I spent >$1k and don’t know what’s wrong. On top of that, I have a leak in front I never had before and a tear that they admitted to making but acted like I should be thankful that it wasn’t going to cause any immediate leaks thanks to their glue, which I don’t know will hold up over time and, oh yes there is an elastic band hanging down from inside the headliner that didn’t used to be there and the headliner is all stretched out on one side. I cannot imagine a worse outcome that didn’t involve lawyers. Needless to say I would not expect to use their services again, purchase a vehicle from them or recommend them to anyone. Feel free to call if you have questions or would like to recommend a way to go forward with a less negative picture of Joe Machens More
