DON'T GO THERE !!!! Waste of time. GO STRAIGHT TO RAMSEY MAZDA. This is the worst dealer i ever went to ! Sales/service manager (Jeff) is the worst person to talk to about your car. I went there because thi MAZDA. This is the worst dealer i ever went to ! Sales/service manager (Jeff) is the worst person to talk to about your car. I went there because this dealer is most convenient for me. I was pretty sure that my oxygen sensor failed. I went there and advised that this may cause issue. After 3 hours I was called to the window and I was told that nothing is wrong with my car. I received $100 bill to pay which i refused and asked for test drive with somebody. The guy came and took me for a ride (he was on driver seat). OMG I was feeling that he is trying to make me an idiot... He never reached even 35 m/h and for any shaking/jerking I tried to point to him he was saying that is the way he drives(?) I asked to switch seats. Once I accelerated and pretty clearly showed him what I was talking about he agreed that something is wrong with my car. Came back to the dealer and went home. After couple of hours they called me and said that they changed oxygen sensor and car is ready for pick up (couple of hours before I told them about o2 sensor... I missed day at work because they don’t provide loan car...) Four days later, when my wife was going to work car stopped and oil leaked. She called for road assistance and they towed it away to Mazda of Lodi (unfortunately) I tried to call corporate to move my car to the other dealer but advised that I would have to pay for towing. I was trying to get some information from dealer about what failed in my car but only received info that they need to replace half of the engine. Even Jeff (manager) couldn't tell me what happened. I was trying to negotiate a loan car with Jeff but this guy is really difficult to work with. He is ignorant and makes you feel like you are nothing to him. One day he just walked away while I was still talking to him leaving me in the middle of the facility. Other time he was rude on the phone and telling me that I should take my car to some other dealer and pay towing fees. After about two weeks they called me to pick up my car. I came there around 7pm when service was closed. I signed warranty papers and received keys to my car. Once I got to my car I realized that its extremely dirty! Black stains on the light interior, black scratches on the door, oil stains on body, disgusting dust all over... Once I got a chance to drive the car I realized I have the same issue as before with o2 sensor. Got home called corporate and explained everything. Lady from cust service called Jeff and explained my concerns. He stated that HE took the car for a test drive and everything worked good (am I an idiot?) I gave up, next day I took it to the Ramsey Mazda. Left my car for couple of days and asked to check work done by Mazda of Lodi. After couple of days they called me back said that Oxygen sensor failed and they fixed couple of things Mazda of Lodi did wrong. Now my car finally runs the way it should. Thank you Ramsey Mazda! BTW I have 42000 miles on it so it's still under warranty... More
Went to this dealership after I had problems with the Ramsey dealership who would not fix my problem under warranty. The Ramsey dealership claimed that due to a minor accident the problem I had may be r Ramsey dealership who would not fix my problem under warranty. The Ramsey dealership claimed that due to a minor accident the problem I had may be related and therefore would not be covered. I took their suggestion and went to my mechanic who did the repair work from the accident and he stated that in no way was this problem related to the repair work he did. I went to the Lodi dealership where the car was purchased and explained the problem. Jeff at the dealership confirmed that the problem was not related to the accident and the car will be repaired under warranty. It is not the case that all Mazda dealerships are created equal and it was my error not to go to the Lodi dealership in the first place. To Ramsey Mazda's credit they suggested I go there in the beginning. More
I was yelled at and told that I could not be helped with turning in my end of Lease on a Saturday morning when there were no customers just a bunch of sales man in the showroom doing nothing !!! Giovanni, turning in my end of Lease on a Saturday morning when there were no customers just a bunch of sales man in the showroom doing nothing !!! Giovanni, said he would text Glen the owner to see if he would make an exception. He came up to me with his cell phone, put it in my face and showed me that the owner texted him back "NO!!! Tell her to leave and come back on Monday." I would never recommend this dealership to anyone please do not go. If the ownwer doesn't even care about his customers why would the sales people care! Also I want to add that I was seriously considering purchasing my vehicle but I was very upset that they wanted to charge me $999.99 to ground my vehicle and then they said I would be able to buy it out. I called Mazda American Credit and asked about the fee and I was told that there is no such fee! When I told the sales rep at Mazda of Lodi, He told me Mazda American Credit has nothing to do with them! This really made no sense to me. I didn't feel comfortable with the situation so thats why I didn't purchase my vehicle More
Stay away from Mazda of Lodi. They are out to grab your money and lie to your face. I took my car in today for an air conditioning repair that I thought would be covered under the "bumper to bumper". Th money and lie to your face. I took my car in today for an air conditioning repair that I thought would be covered under the "bumper to bumper". This is how they call it. I have maintained my car according to the Mazda book recommendations (this is my third Mazda)and the car is under the 50k. Right away the manager makes you sign a waiver indicating that if the repair in question is due to your actions, you are responsible for a $150 diagnostic fee. The guy explained to me this meant if I drove the car into a sinkhole or something like that. Fine, I thought, and signed. Well, that's how they get you. This Jeff comes back an hour later with a $150 bill indicating that it was my fault the air conditioning stopped working and flooded my car! And he says this with a straight face. I debated him and then he tells me he consulted with his superior and they both agreed. When I asked him to speak with his superior he says he's actually his own boss so I should call Mazda Corporate and gives me a 800 number. I was there during lunch time and there was nobody there buying cars and only two other customers in "service". He did not even dry my car so I really don't khnow if he even fixed the problem. Some service. So I will take this up with "Corporate Mazda" and will never set foot again in this place. Do not bring your car here. If you must, don't sign anything they put in front of you. They must be desperate if this is how they treat people. More
I am done with Car dealership in general, you would think they have your interests at heart, it is not true, it is more about how to make an extra buck at your expense and let you believe they are really wor they have your interests at heart, it is not true, it is more about how to make an extra buck at your expense and let you believe they are really working hard for you. At Mazda of Lodi NJ They charged me $577. for the 60 K service maintenance on my Mazda protege 2003, I thought it was going to be a decent job until I found out they did not even check the level of power steering oil, or windshield wiper fluid, and when I asked if they could replace the light bulb I gave them, on the right light beam they wanted an additional $50. just to move a clip, a job that takes less than 5 minutes! I asked for an estimate to repair the front right and left hub ball bearings they said the computer indicated a 6 hours job, for a total of $1330.!! I called AAA, and went to a AAA repair shop in the Bronx the next day, same job for $550. ! And they came to pick up my car at my doorstep! Plus they were extremely nice and friendly. Their estimate for the same job was half the hours of the dealership! Plus the service manager Henry Colette at Mazda of Lodi was not the most friendly service person I ever met and did not seem to care much about quality and customer service satisfaction. . More

My car was stalled so droped with this dealer overnight. Next day they informed after diagnosis the car needs Idle Valve, gasket and ignition service. Since my car was close to 60k miles and ignition servic Next day they informed after diagnosis the car needs Idle Valve, gasket and ignition service. Since my car was close to 60k miles and ignition service was part of that service I negotiated a rate and agreed over phone. At evening while i was there to pick up my car got surprised he did 45k miles service and change Idle valve etc. Asked why he did not complete 60k as agreed response "his technician felt this car don't need transmission service etc". How stupid they think of me? Asked for refund discount since they did not do all the service as agreed the answer was pay the full money and take out the car. Already complained to Mazda and BBB. Please don't take your car to this dealer. I will never never go to him again. More
Purchased a 2005 fully loaded RX-8 from these guys. Did my own research beforehand so was aware of all the quirks/issues with the car. Sales experience was satisfactory so that is for another post. This po my own research beforehand so was aware of all the quirks/issues with the car. Sales experience was satisfactory so that is for another post. This post is to note the subpar maintenance service that I got... After a few months (about 4K miles), the right steptronic paddle shifter became faulty, so I called to schedule for a routine oil/filter change and to have them fix the shifter. I work during the week so had to schedule for a Saturday, and was told the technician that can look at the shifter doesn't work on Sat, but I can still have my oil changed. So I said fine. Took it in, waited an hour, then drove it back home assuming everything was fine. A week later, when I opened the hood to replace the washer fluid, I found my engine cover was missing! Called them to ask them if they had forgotten to put my cover back on, they then became exceedingly defensive, saying some BS like "My techs are A-Spec alright? If your engine cover's missing is probably because you misplaced it" Finally persuaded them that it could be because they forgot to put it back on after the oil change, and scheduled a weekday appt to have it replaced and to have them look at the shifter. At the end of the day the service advisor claims that my shifter was perfectly fine! I was running late for another appt so I said I'll check it out and come back. I didn't bother. They also claim they give you a "Full Circle" inspection when you take your car in there, I doubt they did that... If you want dealer maintenance service on your mazda, go somewhere else! More
