A few days after purchase, I called Nelson from the road to ask how to work an Infotainment issue I was experiencing. A few days after that, I went into the Dealership to ask him more questions about it, but he wasn't there. Instead of ignoring me, another Salesman walked out to the car with me and we both sat inside where he proceeded to explain the whole interior of the car to me. Sometimes I need to hear (mechanical) things twice. Last week, and for this review, I took the car in, unannounced, for the first-service (5Kmi) and Heath at the Customer Service desk lit right up as he recognized me from five months prior when we connected and had a good conversation in between car-prep and payment processing on sales day; good memory. He escorted me to the Service Desk and introduced me to that area and got me checked in. While waiting for that service to complete, Heath and I chatted about the upcoming MX-5 races in Daytona. He filled me in on the ins-and-outs since he'd been going for years and I'm new to the scene. Before we wrapped it up, he gave me his cell phone number and said he'd text me more info when we get closer to the race-date. I appreciate the sincerity and genuine friendly approach from everyone Lakeland Mazda; that attitude goes a long way. If Mazda still made a little pickup truck, they would have already sold me one. I’ve always had excellent experiences with this dealer. This particular time, however, I did not receive an explanation of costs. Also, I thought it was understood that I was receiving a complimentary oil change per a sticker that was in my window when I purchased the car from this dealer 4 months earlier. I did not determine that I had been charged until later. I called the dealer asking for a callback from the service dept mgr. He called back within a reasonable time. I explained the situation. Rather than offering an adjustment/refund for the oil change, he made notes in the dealer file to give me the complimentary oil change the next time plus he sent me a text certifying the same. That’s not anything to get upset about but I would rather have had the refund. More
