This may have been the most disappointing new car purchase that I have experienced. The 2020 Ford F150 that I purchased was advertised online at a discounted price of $41483 and after Ford Conditional purchase that I have experienced. The 2020 Ford F150 that I purchased was advertised online at a discounted price of $41483 and after Ford Conditional Rebates $36743. The first price offered was above the $41,493 and I was told that I did not qualify for the rebates.Ultimately, we got to the $41,493 number. Upon reviewing the paperwork at home after the purchase, I found that Maxwell had included the Conditional Rebates, a total of $4750, but that they were being paid to Maxwell. This yielded them a substantial added profit. This was not pointed out to me by either the salesman nor the financial rep. Certainly, I would have benefited by comprehensively reading in detail all the paperwork rather than trusting Maxwell's representatives to be straightforward. Ford must not do a thorough job of monitoring how their rebates are used. One of the Ford offers required that I trade in a vehicle. The Maxwell offer for my car was $13,500. I did not trade the vehicle. CarMax offered $2500 more online and I sold the car to a private buyer for $6,250 more than the Maxwell offer. I won't be heading back to Maxwell in the future nor will they receive my recommendation. More
I made an appointment to have warranty work done on my truck.John Sullivan contacted me and proceeded to tell me everything was covered except for radio which would cost me $820 to repair.I told him radio truck.John Sullivan contacted me and proceeded to tell me everything was covered except for radio which would cost me $820 to repair.I told him radio has been a issue since I purchased my truck and refused payment. So instead of fixing the list of other problem with my truck he parks it in lot and tell me to come get and send me an email. While this is going on the salesman at the dealership hound me all day to purchase my truck but wanted me to take a 5000$ out of pocket loss. I go up to dealership to confront John Sullivan and he hides in his office like a coward. I was also told that the reason they cant make repairs is cause they are technically not a ford dealership even though there name is Maxwell Ford, Giant sign out front that says Ford, over a 1000 ford vehicles on lot etc. This place is a joke and a xxxxhole. Most importantly John Sullivan is a lying coward who hides in his office and behind his computer to screw people out of mone.y More
Miguel Ochoa was great and kept in touch through the process. Although I bought closer to home I will definitely keep Miguel and Maxwell in mind. Thanks! process. Although I bought closer to home I will definitely keep Miguel and Maxwell in mind. Thanks! More

They would not let me get my own bank to finance. They worked out all the numbers but only if i used their bank(s). Their rate was DOUBLE the rate i could get and they said they would have to charge me mo worked out all the numbers but only if i used their bank(s). Their rate was DOUBLE the rate i could get and they said they would have to charge me more for the exact same car. What!!?? The price should be the price regardless. They seem to just be doing fuzzy math with the numbers. I cant see recommending this place or going back there and that was after 2 trips from San Antonio to their store in Austin. Maybe I missed it, but I did not see ANYTHING about using their finance in order to qualify for the advertised price on the internet on CARFAX and CARGURUS.COM and on their own website. Waited over 2 hours with no one else seemingly in line for finance and the finance person said he just found out the rate 2 minutes before I did. We still want the car but won’t pay 6.54% when we are pre-approved for 3.24%. Let us do that and we will go get it. I gave 2 stars only because the sales person Miguel was helpful and very nice and accommodating, but ultimately it wasnt his call. He spend at least 6-7 hours with me between 2 trips and text messages and he got paid NOTHING because finance had their hands tied behind his back. I would be very unhappy if I were him. I bought my last 5 cars from BMW of San Antonio and the experience is like night and day with this dealer. More
My rep Eddie was transparent and simplified the entire process. He was able to build a solid report with my interests, and was quickly able to distinguish what’s important to me. process. Worst experience I've ever had buying a vehicle The sad thing about this review is that I'm a true blue Ford F-150 fan. As a matter of fact, this was my 3rd f-150 to own. I've even bought from t The sad thing about this review is that I'm a true blue Ford F-150 fan. As a matter of fact, this was my 3rd f-150 to own. I've even bought from this dealership before..... But definitely NEVER again!!! I traded my 2014 f-150(which still had a balance too pay off) for a 2020 F-150(basically the same truck, just upgrade). Got completely low balled on that deal. It's been 30 days and Maxwell still hasn't payed off my trade and I'm getting calls and late payment notices from the bank that holds the note. I've spoken with finance (Btw, Ford Motor Credit financed the 2020 f-150)and they've still done nothing about it! I'm considering legal action. So not only am I dealing with that drama, but 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle I get a call and a text from my sales rep. He says there was a form that needed to be signed before funding could go thru. Well... It was "a weather damage indemnification", stating that I release ford from any previous damage that might have happened to the new vehicle. Uh... Red flag, why would I need to sign a weather damage indemnification on a brand new pick up and why wasn't this disclosed too me at the time of purchase. Just a very sketchy practice! At any rate, after discussing the form(I was smart enough to audio record the discussion) I had a manager assure me it was nothing and not to worry about it bc a storm had recently passed over the Ford lot and they just wanted to make sure that there was no hail damage and that I would attest to that! Just one other issue was the finance/negotiating process of the deal... The sales guy kept running back and forth to finance, playing this cat and mouse game when if they would've let me deal directly with finance I know I could've gotten a better deal and saved a bunch of time. Then, once we agreed upon a deal, they rushed me thru signing(no wonder there was a form missing). When I got home, I really read thru the contract and realized that I didn't get a very good deal at all.. I'll even admit that's on me bc I signed and agreed to the contract, but it just seems ashamed you can't really trust anyone to look out for your best interest. Bottom line.... Be very careful dealing with this dealership. Once again, "I will never use them again"!! More
I purchased a truck from Maxwell Ford several years ago. I purchased a truck from Maxwell Ford several years ago. I thought I would purchase my next truck there as well. However, after introducing mysel I purchased a truck from Maxwell Ford several years ago. I thought I would purchase my next truck there as well. However, after introducing myself as a former customer, they refused to discuss pricing until I paid them a non-refundable deposit! They ignored my emails until I got in touch with the internet sales director. Then they explained they would not discuss negotiating without a deposit! I do not recommend dealing with these people!
