They had no intention of meeting the Cars.Com price quote. They actually said that CarMax would have offered $700 less and that was the price they would match. If I wanted that reply I would have done business with CarMax in the first place. I did not sell them my vehicle. I sold it later the same day by listing in on my facebook page. More

My search led me to Max Madsen's Mitsubishi where I found not only the vehicle she wanted, but also a great sales staff. Jorge and Brad were very informative and helpful in completing the sale. My wife and I flew into O'Hare Airport, from Michigan, on a Saturday morning and were greeted by Cory , a Max Madsen porter, who drove us to the dealership in Aurora. This courtesy was facilitated by Brad and Jorge. Our entire purchasing experience at this dealership was indeed a pleasure. The light counter top snacks were great also (smile). More

Guys like these are what give car dealers a bad name I went in Friday afternoon to take our minivan in for an estimate to sell it to the dealer. I dealt with Gino who I felt like I had a good repore with. He offered me $11,000 for our car and I wanted to think it over. He called Saturday morning .... LESS THAN 24hrs to make sure the offer was still good and was prepared to sell our car to them. However, as I spoke to Gino he was rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. He stated he “no longer wanted your car”. There was a button for the passenger door that wasn’t working when he looked it over however the button works, and has worked all weekend. This was his reason for no longer wanting the car “it was too much to fix the button”. A BUTTON!! I was taken aback by the rudeness and lack of wanting a car he continuously called me about for a couple of weeks. I spoke with the manager about this who told me he would get back to me. Apparently getting back to a customer who was wanting to do business with this company and a customer who is in the market for a new car wasn’t worth their time. I will recommend to everyone I know not to do business here. Apparently Gino’s ego was hurt that I didn’t take his offer then and there and wanting to think it over was unacceptable. Apparently the general manager couldn’t care less how his employees treat possible customers. The lack of professionalism speaks volumes. Having worked in management for years it amazes me this company even has clientele. You always hear how awful car dealers are and these guys earned that reputation. I understand they have a right to not want to buy our car and I respect that. I guess from wanting it to not wanting it under 24hrs blew me away and there was negotiating the price with Gino. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! More
Selling my car I was looking to get rid of my Corvette Stingray. I went on Kbb.com and got my cars’ value and the car for purchase offers sent to local dealers. Got I was looking to get rid of my Corvette Stingray. I went on Kbb.com and got my cars’ value and the car for purchase offers sent to local dealers. Got few responses, texts and emails; therefore I knew approximately what I be able to get for it. Agreed on price with Nissan of Arlington Hts and after wasting my time driving there they low balled me by $2000. I stopped at few other dealership for quotes who were low balling me as well. I re-submitted my kbb car for sale and got an email, some text messages and a call from Gino at Max Madsen Aurora. I gave Gino the “number” I was looking to get for my car and he said if the car is in the condition, I say it is, he will give me what I’m looking for. I told him I’m not wasting anymore of my time if he will try to play games with me. My last, 7th stop of the day was Max Madsen. I met with Gino and the transaction took 15 min and no games. Really nice guy who meant business as well as I meant business. He also got one of the workers to drive me home since I no longer had a car. Do to the fact it was late Saturday I had to go pick up my check Monday morning which was waiting for me. I would definitely go back to do more business with Gino. More
Stay clear. This is a very long review, but It will be worth your time to read if you are considering Max Madsen for your next vehicle purchase. “Too Long, Didn’ This is a very long review, but It will be worth your time to read if you are considering Max Madsen for your next vehicle purchase. “Too Long, Didn’t Read version”: Tried to scam me out of 6,000 at first and failed. Successfully scammed me out of ~700 in the end. Sold me a car that was not in a condition as described at all, from having a cracked wheel that was welded, to touch up paint sprayed in various spots and patched cigarrette holes through out the interior. A deal that was supposed to take a few days to complete, took 3 weeks to complete. Multiple titling and clerical errors. This location apparently doesn’t have any managers that work there. Make sure you know your stuff if you decide to do business with Max Madsen, or they will take you for quite a ride. I consider myself very experienced in car buying and I did all the right things and asked all the right questions, but they were still able to pull the sheets over my head. I contacted Max Madsen Mitsubishi of Aurora about a Performance vehicle they had for sale. Being that I reside 14 hours away from the dealership, I first asked if they were willing to ship the car and the sales person, Jayden, had said yes, that they ship vehicles all the time. I requested more detailed pictures of the car, that if I decided to have the car shipped instead of driving out, I would want very detailed pictures of the car. Jayden not only took pictures, but also sent me a video of the car. The car looked great in pictures and in the video. I asked Jayden to run numbers using a down payment of 3,000 dollars. When Jayden send me the figures, they did not add up at all. After drilling into the details of the numbers, I realized that not only did they take into 3,000 down, they added it back onto the cost of the car, on top of multiple fees totaling over 1,500 more. I of course declined the deal, told Jayden that the numbers are not adding up and asked for a better deal. I was told they were not willing to negotiate, that the price was firm. Communication stopped for a few days. A few days later, I asked Jayden for a better deal and they were then willing to “drop the price” down to an “out the door” price, which would include shipping, taxes, registration, titling, fees, etc. Everything included. This new price, made more sense to me, after crunching the numbers, I essentially was getting the car for asking price + taxes, and getting shipping, titling, registration and fees for “free”. I accepted the deal on the condition that Jayden confirm the car was in flawless shape – No scratches, dents, holes, rips in seats, etc. jayden confirmed the car was like new with zero issues. I asked to apply for a loan. I asked for my credit to only be ran once. After not liking the results, I gave permission to run my credit again. These results were favorable, so I went with it and placed 3,000 down on the car. Jayden had the paperwork mailed overnight. When I received the paperwork, I noticed the price was $106 dollars higher than agreed upon. I brought this up to Jayden and I was told it was because shipping was much more expensive than expected. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay this extra $106. At this point, it is important to note that 99% of our communication has been through email and text, with the exception of calling to put a down payment on the car, and communication was very quick, typically within minutes. While continuing to review the paperwork, I noticed there was no “Registration” fee anywhere as being included. I tried to contact Jayden multiple times about this and did not get an answer, so I called and spoke with him. There was a “Document Service Fee”, that I was assured was the cost of registration. This is not what the paperwork said, but I unfortunately took Jayden’s word for it. I also made mention to Jayden that the agreed upon financer was scribbled out and another one was written in their place. Jayden stated that they never ran the credit report from the other lender, and went with this 3rd lender, While not okay with this, I did not see the credit report one my credit karma so I went along with it. I finished filling the paperwork out, but before sending it back, I asked Jayden for more details on how the car ships. He explained that as soon as they received my paperwork, they would contact a shipper and it typically takes 2 days for the car to be picked up. I expressed that if it was going to take anymore than a week, I would come get the car myself and get a shipping refund. Jayden assured it would be shipped quickly. I sent the paperwork back to Max Madsen. Once the paperwork was confirmed to have been returned on Monday, communication pretty much ceased to exist. Being anxious and already having concerns on how previous things were handled, I tried contacting multiple times through text and phone for days before there was an update. The update I received was that they have to receive the check from the lender before shipping the car. While I can understand this from a business perspective, that is not what was explained. The next day, the check was received from the lender on Wednesday afternoon and I was told the car would be getting picked up Friday morning. Communication ceased once again. On Friday morning, I asked for updates throughout the day. There was no communication until Friday night, which was that the car did not ship out. I became frustrated and wanted answers. I told Jayden I would be coming out to get the car. I did not get any replies. Saturday morning, I tried contacting managers. Apparently, Max Madsen’s managers don’t come to work until 11A. I left multiple voicemails, and tried calling back multiple times looking for ANY manager from 11A until 4P. I finally received a text from Jayden basically stating that his manager dropped the ball and a shipping company wasn’t even contacted. Of course, I became very frustrated again and not only wanted answers, but began to suspect something shady was going on. Jayden sent another video of my car to try to relief some worries, and then it was radio silence once again despite multiple attempts at communication. The following Monday I began trying to communicate again to no avail. Tuesday, still radio silence. Wednesday, I was finally told the car was picked the prior day. I tried to get a delivery date and once again we entered radio silence. Finally, on Thursday night about 9P, I was told the car would be here Friday. Jayden apologized that this is the first time him and his manager have shipped a car (but prior he stated he does it all the time). Friday came and went and no car was delivered. The transport driver contacted me and apologized that he had been held up in route because he was sick – understandable. The car arrived Saturday. The transport driver was very pleasant and very professional. After the car was unloaded I began inspecting the car Immediately. It is important to note at this point, the car was very filthy inside and out. The first thing I noticed was that the bottom of the front bumper was in very rough shape, but not noticeable unless on the ground looking at it. I took the car for a drive, and I noticed the TPMS for the tires had an error message, but otherwise the car drove well. I parked the car and was fairly happy with my purchase. the following Monday, I received my tax check in the mail and went to register the car. The check was not issued correctly, and I could not register the car. Additionally, the check did not contain enough to cover titling and registration fees. Jayden was of no help with either of these issues, and neither was max madsen initially. Finally, in the later afternoon, their clerical/finance department contacted me and told me they sent a new check out. This check still did not contain the funds for Registration or titling. I was finally able to get ahold of Jayden, and he told me those costs were not included in the deal. I forwarded Jayden the proof (texts/email) that these were supposed to be in the deal and he continued to deny it. Tuesday, I received the new check and registered the car. While registering the car, I noticed the mileage was written incorrectly on the title, it was off by about 800 miles. but I was not allowed to correct it without going through a whole retitling process in Illinois (4-6 weeks at a minimum). Hopefully, this doesn’t show up as a future “mileage rollback” issue on Carfax. Additionally, the Lender wasn’t any of the banks we discussed previously, it was a new, 4th bank! All these finally came through on my credit report as 5 hard inquiries, the 4 banks and Max Madsen as a 5th. I decided to clean the car before putting my plates on. When I cleaned the car, I found a dent in the hood, a dent in the roof, scratches on the rear bumper and found a 6” by 6” section of the front bumper that was very obviously damaged and was spray painted over with touch up paint. Then when I went to put the front plate on, I noticed they screwed holes into the front bumper rather than using the factory mounting holes, creating very ugly, obnoxious holes in the front bumper. Once I began cleaning the inside, I found there was a patched over part of the front leather seats. Given the type of vehicle I purchased this is all very upsetting. I didn’t even bother texting Jayden about this, knowing that he nor Max Madsen would cooperate, if I could even get a hold of someone. I'm editing this review to include more issues found with the car: the rear brakes were in need of replacement, when the driver rear wheel taken off, it was discovered that the wheel had been welded from previously being cracked.
