I will NEVER EVER bring my car back there to Ray Brandt for service, and plan on posting my review on YELP as well. I will gladly push, pull or tow my Rogue to the AL dealership where I purchased it for ALL service needs from now on. This is my 4th Nissan Ive owned since 1999, and will definitely be my last. I purchased a 6 YEAR battery from this dealership 2 YEARS ago on the advice of your "previous Service Manager" who I was told recently left, and my original factory battery didnt even last 3 yrs from the time I purchased the car in Nov 2016, and as unfortunate as that is, I apparently missed the "2 Year Free Replacement" by..... 8 DAYS !!! I know if it had been 3 weeks/a month or longer passed the mark when this occured, I could somewhat see the fact of the prorated being the correct way to go, but 8 days ??? This is supposed to be a 6 YEAR BATTERY, that I know is made by INTERSTATE, and should last a xxxx of alot longer than 2 years... My '04 Frontier original battery lasted me 6 years before having to be replaced, and was made by PANASONIC... I know I dont have a long service history with this dealership.... BUT I have VERY LONG history with NISSAN for over 20 years, and the last 2 vehicles I have purchased in AL, and I have been EXCEPTIONALLY taken care of every time I have been there. This was handled very carelessely by the management who felt that I havnt been there enough to extend a courtesy to handle this situation and "write off" the pro-rated amount and keep a customer happy, instead the decision was made to "make another buck" from a "loyal Nissan customer". I own a Nissan, and it shouldnt matter which dealership I bring it to to have whatever I need done because Im bringing it to a NISSAN certified dealer. I put in a phone call to my dealership in AL and spoke with the Service mgr there, and they would have made it possible to take care of that as a courtesy because I was a valued customer to them, and I didnt even purchase the battery thru them.... THAT SAYS ALOT !! I told the Sevice Writer woman when I was leavn that its little things such as that, can cause them to lose a customer for life. By no means is it her fault for that happening, she was just doing her job and told me she would see if they would waive the charge because it was so close, albeit over the mark, and she went and asked the Service Manager, and all he said he could do was "give me 10 dollars off installation" to help..... THERE IS NO INSTALLATION charge on a warrantied/battery, so I am clueless as to what this guy was even thinking at the time because the 2 women working the service counter, looked at each other and said exactly there was no charge for installation.... they was just doing their job and knew I was very upset with this outcome.... I fault management for not making a key decision based on the best interest of the customer... Instead it was made on the best interest of the Brandt bank account !!! I plan to make sure from this point on to notify my family and friends to never visit or give this dealership their business, and will gladly send them to AL..... ITS WORTH THE SHORT DRIVE OVER THERE if you wanted to get treated right !! Very unsatisfied RB customer, Paul Simons More
