Sales Dept I am rating seperate from Service Dept. Sales Dept I am rating lower than I would like. Reason being that if you are an out of state customer or a customer like myself that lives in two diff Sales Dept I am rating lower than I would like. Reason being that if you are an out of state customer or a customer like myself that lives in two different states and you register and pay taxes on a state other than Louisiana you better check carefully. Because they did not get the sales tax right for the state I was registering the vehicle in and I am now getting hit with a very large bill with penalties due to their error which I think is very unfair especially for a repeat customer. This is not the first vehicle I purchased at this location. I have Bowers do the majority of my service and give them the business. I consider myself a loyal customer. Sales rating from this customer is a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. Service Dept gets a solid 9.5 from me. Awesome service all the guys (service consultants) are great. When I have requested information they may not have had the answer right away but have always gotten back to me with the answer within a few days. Any questions call me at 504-402-6248. Jim. The service work was completed in a timely manner and the service staff was courteous, friendly and vey accommodating. My issue revolves around a direct mail offer I received which contained a coupon for complete brake service in the amount of $99.95 per axle. The service manager refused to honor the coupon price because, according to him, the amount was below the profit margin [sic] for the service specified. The cost of the service was clearly stated in the coupon. There was no ambiguity and no vague area subject to multiple interpretations. There was an offer for a discounted price as a concession but the coupon price would not be accepted. This gives the appearance of a "bait & switch" tactic but I have no evidence to support this allegation. More

I looked at two different colored On Memorial Day the 28th of May 2018 1 Thomas Purvis visited Matt Bowers Chevrolet and was warmly greeted by Mark. I looked at two different colored Chevrolet Colorado trucks. I explained my wife would have to see the trucks since she was disabled. Mark took two trips to my drive way in Kings Point Slidell, LA and greeted my wife. My wife was unhappy about the small back seats on the standard Colorado 4 cylinder truck. So Mark and I drove back to the dealership and showed me a Colorado V6 LT with 4 doors and full back seat and i was impressed. Mark drove the Colorado V6 LT to my home again. My wife came out was VERY impressed with the full back seats. She said lets go to the dealership and see financing. After papers were signed in finance Mark was nice enough to go his computer to choose a Insurance company for us. He entered info for new Colorado and my two other cars! The EXTRA MILE. Mark was extremely polite and patient after three trips to my house to show my wife trucks to my wife. After spending over six (6) hours with me and my wife Mark was still extremely polite!! I am 71 and for over 50 years have owned many cars and trucks. This is the BEST SALESMAN performance i have ever had. No other dealerships help you with purchasing new auto insurance.
