I purchased a 2013 Kia Optima SXL. Not only was my sales consultant, Jimmy, extremely knowledgable about the car and the features it offered but he took the time to show me three vehicles I was interested i consultant, Jimmy, extremely knowledgable about the car and the features it offered but he took the time to show me three vehicles I was interested in. He was extremely friendly and personable and really eased the car buying experience. This great sales consultant was a direct reflection of the great management within the Toms River dealership, Anthony the sales manager, was also extremely personable and went out of his way to make sure I was getting everything that I needed and wanted from not only the car but the car buying experience itself. And words can also not describe how amazing the owner Marcos was. He took the time to make sure that not only I was being taken care of throughout my time in the dealership but also set me up with Jimmy and Anthony which I will always be grateful for because of how accommodating they were. I will be recommending this dealership and more specifically Jimmy and Anthony to any one looking to purchase any new or used vehicle, they truly take away any car salesman fears a consumer would have. I bought a Kia Optima on 12/31/12. I was referred by my sister-in-law and went their because she would get a referral reward if I were to purchase a car. One of the promos they had on their website was th sister-in-law and went their because she would get a referral reward if I were to purchase a car. One of the promos they had on their website was that you received a free Ipad 2 with the purchase of new vehicle. Jeff Jiminez was my salesman and John Mastro was the sales manager. After three hours I left with a car and they owed me an Ipad and said we would be in contact regarding the referral rewards. I received this email from Jeff two weeks later, "The iPads get ordered as a whole for everyone that we owe them to this week, and when they are delivered everyone will be contacted, I will personally call you myself once I have the few for my own customers. Thanks again for everything" Sent: Saturday, January 12, 2013 6:57am Notice the date. Since then I've followed up numerous times with Jeff, John, and even sent an email to owner who assured me that I would receive a call. On FEBRUARY 23rd I received my first email from Danielle and got a voicemail from John telling me we would square everything away! Since then, I've made multiple calls and sent numerous emails to Jeff/John and I have yet to receive the Ipad I was promised both verbally and with a "handshake" from John, and the referral rewards that I thought my sister in law would receive. Even Jim Sweitzer took down my sister in laws name and told me they would take care of the referral reward. As far as I'm concerned, between the two "promises" I was robbed of about $1000 dollars. I could never recommend this Kia dealer. More
I HAVE BOUGHT MANY CARS OVER THE LAST 50 YEARS AND HAVE LOTS OF HASSELS WITH SALES PEOPLE. MY EXPERIENCE WITH TOMS RIVER KIA (NJ) BUYING MY 2014 SORENTO IS NOTHING SHORT OF TOTAL SATISIFACTION!!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW WELL THE ENTIRY TRANSACTION WENT. THE PRICING WAS ESTABLISHED QUICKY AND VERY FAIR, NO RUNNING BACK AND FORTH EIGHT TIMES TO THE MANAGER BICKERING EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. JAY MAHER WAS BOTH KNOWLEGABLE AND PRIENDLY WHICH MADE THE WHOLE EVENT VERY,VERY PLEASING !!!!! More
Jay Maher at Toms River Kia hands down deserves more than a "Great" rating. I recently purchased my first very own brand new car and I was worried about the way the whole car buying experience was going to g a "Great" rating. I recently purchased my first very own brand new car and I was worried about the way the whole car buying experience was going to go for me because it was not a situation I was familiar with. I let Jay know that this was my first car buying experience and it was an extremely huge deal to me and that I was not just going to settle or jump into something that I did not feel comfortable with. He completely understood and throughout the whole process he did not make me feel pressured into having to buy the car, which I could not have been more thankful for. The whole process took two days because I wanted to take some time to think about the decision I was about to make. Jay answered every single one of my hundreds of questions, patiently sat through my indecisiveness about which color interior I wanted in my car and the constant back and forth between my two choices, helped me find an amazing car insurance quote and actually sat with me through the whole process, worked with me until we found a price I was more than comfortable with and never once did he make me feel like he was doing this because it was his job. He truly made me feel like he was a friend helping me pick out a car. I would recommend Jay Maher and the entire Toms River Kia family to anyone who is looking for a new car with that awesome car buying experience. Years down the road when I am ready to trade in my Kia Sportage for a newer one, I hope Jay will still be there selling cars because I would not want to go to anyone else. More

I've been driving Toyota Camry XLEs for years and although my current Toyota was 9 years old and in great shape, after driving my daughter's and son-in-law's new 2013 Kia Pptima with premium package, although my current Toyota was 9 years old and in great shape, after driving my daughter's and son-in-law's new 2013 Kia Pptima with premium package, I decided it was definitely time to pursue this vehicle and let go of my loyalty to Camrys...if I got the same great deal they had gotten 3 weeks prior. I am totally happy with every aspect of my dealings with everyone at Toms River Kia. All were friendly, easily approachable, knowledgeable and went out of their way to accommodate me. Tom, Jay and (and Jimmy who drove to Pennsylvania to pick up the vehicle in the color we wanted....dark cherry...very rich color!) were terrific. In fact, they brought the car back the same day. When I picked up my new Optima Jay sat in the car with me for about 20 minutes explaining all the "bells and whistles" and even connected my cell phone to Blue tooth for me. I highly recommend the Kia optima and Toms River Kia! (unsolicited testimomial) More
