There was a recall on the engine. Before it could be repaired the engine blew. This was in Nov 22. They warranty replaced the engine because of the defective. Since then the check engine light has been on giving a code for the catalytic converter. When the engine blew oil and other fluids damaged the catalytic converter and they refuse to fix it telling me it's my problem. The worst part is my vehicle will never pass inspection because of the faulty emissions. After 3 voice-mails to the service department, 2 more to the service manager and left with no other choice but to contact Kia support services I have a piece of crap for a vehicle. This makes me sad because I really like the car. Well I get another Kia? Probably not. If I do it won't be from Matt Blatt Kia. They can find time to email and call me about trades and deals they are running but I had to wait 6 months to get an answer on the converter. More
The worst experience I have ever witnessed. Not only was the Sales Staff unhelpful, they gave the impression that you did not matter. Than they had the xxxxx to contact us again and have us come back claimi the Sales Staff unhelpful, they gave the impression that you did not matter. Than they had the xxxxx to contact us again and have us come back claiming they had several Vehicles in Stock. When we arrived not only was the Sales Rep not there but we were told the Cars were sold.........in a day. The Sales Manager was no better pretty much just shrugged us off and would not work with us at all. I would not recommend them to anyone and if they were giving cars away I wouldnt take one from them. I have Matt Blatt dealers within 10 miles of my residence however elected to drive 50 miles (tolls and all) to Matt Blatt Kia of Toms River due to the overwhelming first impression I had along with the excel however elected to drive 50 miles (tolls and all) to Matt Blatt Kia of Toms River due to the overwhelming first impression I had along with the excellent service and treatment I received from my salesman Aaron Wilkinson and the finance officer Eric Reichgott. Upon reaching an agreement on a deal upon my first visit, Aaron methodically took the steps to ensure I would only have one more visit to take delivery. By keeping my posted on what was needed from me prior to returning via email and text message, I was able to return at a time set by myself and take delivery of my vehicle in less than 2 hours. The finance officer Eric had all my documents ready for review, and simplified everything enough that even a teenager could understand. Shout out to the service department too for detailing the vehicle very nice upon leaving with a full tank of gas provided by sales. The dealership is very clean and boasts several convenience options while in the facility such as coffee, water, and a comfortable setting with seating away from the sales floor. The other employees of the facility with whom I didn't have any interactions with carried themselves in a neatly dressed and professional manner. I observed other sales people treating their customers the way I was being treated. The other things that stood out, were things like holding a door for a customer, helping a single female carrying a baby by running out the door and putting her tags on her new vehicle in 30 seconds. Eyes on the floor are always on the door and for the right reasons! These are not sneaky sales people working on commission fighting for a sale. These are salaried people who want to make every new face that enters their building part of the family. More
