My new Kia a very comfortable experience After 2.5 years driving a second hand Chevy Uplander we were hoping we could move up to a new car again. I refuse to drive a car with hinged rear door After 2.5 years driving a second hand Chevy Uplander we were hoping we could move up to a new car again. I refuse to drive a car with hinged rear doors when I can have the safety and convenience of sliding doors so there was only one serious consideration a new Kia Sedone Minivan. Our online search provided the option of two dealers, off Cape, who were offering the level of discount we needed to make buying new a viable option. I had to go to Plymouth that morning for a medical appointment so it made logical sense to trot on over to Raynham where Kate made it a pleasurable experience once we bit the bullet of losing so much on our old car. Since the people who own car dealerships always seem to own a string of them not just one I suppose its just not possible that they are ever going to understand that when your car already depreciated 75% of its new value before you bought it that it should not continue to depreciate at 30% per year! For those of us who work hard for $11, $12 or $13 an hour this type of loss is always going to hurt and leave a sour taste. We count ourselves blessed in so many ways and we have so much to be thankful for but we just wish we did not always lose an arm and a leg when we visit the car showroom. More
