There has been a noticeable difference in customer care since Maserati Tampa was sold by Reeves Import to Morgan Auto. I recently purchased my lease and the sales team made promises that were not followed through on (technical tire issue, seat repair and detailing). The service department then had my vehicle for two weeks (planned in advance with them) without performing any work. When ready to pick up, they then updated me that nothing was performed during the two weeks and that it would be another week. The seat belt guide issue was "fixed" in the cheapest fashion and is still a problem today. The issue this week that drove me to another dealer, across the bay, was a simple dead battery. I reached out to the dealership and the receptionist would not transfer me to the Service department, even after I let her know that I could drive the car there, no problem. This led me to texting my "Service" Representative. His response: "Mr.Mills, the last service visit was to repair the seatbelt strap, paint repair, detail and fill up the fuel tank. You will have to contact Maserati roadside and they will have to bring the car to the dealership for inspection. The number for roadside is: 888-371-1802. Thank you. Zakar could not take time to simply talk to me about arranging for me to drive in and simply get the battery switched out. Thank goodness that my 2019 Granturismo has had no problems and is dependable. The Maserati Tampa service, over the last two years, has been lacking . . . Jamie Dobson and Tracey Rollinson are sorely missed over there . . . For the record, after the text (at 3:49 PM), I called Maserati of St. Petersburg, was immediately connected to their service department, and scheduled for a battery replacement at 8:00 AM the next morning. They took care of me in less than an hour (with a car wash) and my car is fine again. After three Maserati purchases from Reeves over the last decade and a half, my next one will be at Maserati of St. Petersburg! More
About two months after purchasing a 2017 C7 Corvette Grand Sport from this location, I had a bad vibration when I applied my brakes. I called twice to confirm they could resurface my slotted rotors, and after driving 1hr 30mins, I get there only to be told they could not resurface my rotors. Now I am left with buying new front and rear rotors and pads, and it is going to cost me $47xx.xx. Had they checked this pre-owned vehicle out completely, I would not be dealing with a heavy pulsation when applying the brakes. If you buy a pre-owned vehicle from them, I would suggest taking it to a reputable place to have it looked over completely. More
