They went above, beyond, and bent over backwards to help us get into our truck. They were also very thorough in checking out our trade-in which made us feel all the better about buying from them. Worst car buying experience This was definitely the worst experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. Everything started great. The car was exactly what I was looking for. The only This was definitely the worst experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. Everything started great. The car was exactly what I was looking for. The only issue that the dealership pointed out was the hatch didn’t open because it had a bad latch. They promised to fix it so no big deal. I was told the part would be in in less than a week and I could get it taken care of when my tags came in so I didn’t have to make two trips out. When they called to let me know that my tags were in (three weeks later) I asked if the trunk latch was in as well. I was told they would call me back after checking, and I never received a call back. The next week I went to get my tags. When I asked about the trunk latch no one knew what I was talking about. After I explained the only thing that was said was “someone must’ve dropped the ball”. Five weeks after purchasing the car I finally got it fixed and am finally able to use that part of my car. But that’s not the only problem. Before I even got home after purchasing the car the check engine light came on like it had been reset so the car could be sold with the light off. When I brought it up to the dealership all they did was reset the light just like they did before I purchased the car. And the light came back on within two days. It’s on for one of two reasons: bad o2 sensor or bad catalytic converter. Within the first week I also had issues with the A/C not working properly. The car needs a new battery, and the RPM gauge doesn’t always work. I also checked the oil after getting the car home (my fault for not checking at the dealership but at what I thought was a reliable dealership I shouldn’t have had to check it) and the oil was barely two cm’s on the dipstick and black as night. So in less than a month of owning the car I have almost, if not more than, $1k in repairs to make. Looks like another dealership that fixes cars up good enough to get them sold and then within weeks the vehicle has problem after problem. I’m extremely disappointed in my experience with this company and would not and will not ever recommend anyone buy from these folks. The dealership called me after they saw this review. They offered to get me discounted parts to fix the multitude of issues but they couldn’t actually fix any of the issues. Including the starter that’s about to completely go and leave my vehicle inoperable until I can come up with the money to fix it. I have another vehicle that I purchased from a different lot two years ago. I had a few major issues with it within the first week I had it. They spent over $2k to get the vehicle up to their standards. They did that because they are an honest and reputable dealership that cares about their customers and the vehicles they put them in. Exactly the opposite of this dealer. Maryville Auto doesn’t care about their customers or the quality of the vehicles they put them in. Their only concern is making the sell. I have, and will continue to, recommend nobody purchase from this dealer. More
