Error message after service, won't look at car for month Had to have my car serviced for a defect covered under warranty (thanks to a recall we were never notified of until the brakes started failing). After visit, a new error message began showing up. This is reportedly a known related issue when looked up online. Called dealer and they say that it's not related (have not looked at car). They say they can make an appointment in FOUR WEEKS. That's a bit long to me for a problem they likely caused per our research. On top of that, we are moving several states away before then. So I get to follow-up with this issue with someone totally new so that I don't put my family in danger driving around with a problem. They just want to pass the buck to someone else, deny any chance that they made an error, and can't have the decency to even take a look before declaring facts about the possible error. Would not recommend. Never had these types of issues with dealership in our last town. Hoping for better once we move. More

My car started having transmission issues almost immediately. Another 2014 Focus SE owner tells me that there is a recall on something to do with the tranny and Ford has to diagnose the issue and make the repairs for free bc he had he same exact issues and has been through it already- in Cleveland. I called MM about 7 months ago to make the appt and was told "all the parts are on backorder until months from now, you'll have to keep calling back." Fast forward to 4 months ago. I call back (after several calls over those few months) and the service guy who takes my call is a complete condescending jerk. He first tells me that my model car doesn't meet the recall requirements then he tells me that oh nvm, it's just that your car is over the mileage amount covered under the recall-so 45k miles is over the recall amount? Plus you guys made me wait MONTHS before I could schedule an appt which when I first started making the calls the mileage was under 40k miles. He offers a diagnostic appt- I tell him schedule the diagnostic appt bc it's complete bs my car is having these issues in the first place. He schedules the appt for the "soonest available date" which is almost 3 months later!! Fast forward. They have my car for a day. Another guy calls, tells me the issue is not the recall issues. It's the clutches & seals have gone bad in the tranny which is not covered under the recall and is going to cost $1600 + tax. I say hold up, no, this is bs, explain how long I've waited, tell them tranny issues since I pretty much bought it, tell them to check warranty- gave them all the info otherwise I am going to take it elsewhere. He calls me back and says he had to fight the warranty conpany but got them to cover some of the costs, you will be liable for $750. MM is a sneaky, sneaky place and I will definitely not be using them ever again! This tranny issue IS a very common and major issue for the newer models of the Ford Focus. Ford needs to correct this issue for FREE! And MM Service Dept needs to learn to be a bit more professional and less sneaky. You need to learn how to treat customers! It's not our fault the cars YOU sell which we work hard to buy are straight up pieces of garbage and now you have to repair them. I'm sorry your shop is overflowing with transmission issues!! Not my fault though and should not come at my expense!! More
Excellent Service for an out of town Ford F-150 owner I was in the middle of a 1,400 mile trip when my Ford-F-150 developed an issue. Service Department I have had 2 occasions to use the service department of Marshal Mize Ford, both for vehicles not even purchased there. I have never received better, more courteous service in any setting, vehicle or other. I felt as though I mattered to each individual I spoke with, from the guy who listened to my issues to the girl who took my payment to the gentleman who explained how the new changes would work. When it comes time to look for another vehicle, this will be the dealership I contact...if they're this wonderful to those who didn't purchase there, how must they treat those who do!! Wonderful experience! More

He was very professional and super nice. He sent a tow truck to get my car made the repairs and only charged half Cost of parts and no labor charges. More

I was encouraged to make an appointment for a future data. I made the appointment for 3 weeks out with the assurance that they would get to it at the appointed time. I dropped off the vehicle on the appointed day and was cautioned that depending on what they found, it might take several days to fix. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited for 7 days before calling to check on the status. They had not even looked at the problem much less fixed it. I was given lots of excuses about their backlog... But 4 weeks? Give me a break. I took my vehicle to another Ford dealership where they could get to it tomorrow. I will not be going back to Marshal Mize Ford. More
