PLEASE READ: I bought a Mercedes-Benz E550 @ Marks. It came pre-inspected from them (w/ their sticker). When I took it for post-purchase inspection it failed for: Tires, Brakes, Suspension, Transmi It came pre-inspected from them (w/ their sticker). When I took it for post-purchase inspection it failed for: Tires, Brakes, Suspension, Transmission, Engine/Transmission Mounts. I asked them to have it fixed. They are refusing because I bought it "AS IS". I feel like they took advantage of me because I was a girl buying a car by myself. Has this happened to you? If so, please contact me at: MARKSUX2024@gmail.com More
Purchased a 2017 Dodge Ram and they inspected it. Pulled out of the lot and the directional was flashing quicker than normal, I figured it was a bulb so I'd have my local garage change it...big MIST Pulled out of the lot and the directional was flashing quicker than normal, I figured it was a bulb so I'd have my local garage change it...big MISTAKE. Turned out to be the LED lights out in the taillight and they will not make good on a part that shouldn't have passed inspection. On top of that, I had to replace all 4 tires, garage said that I was lucky they passed, my garage wouldn't have. Last time I do business here. Felt I could trust them as I had done business with a sister lot prior for my daughter and she had no issues. LESSON LEARNED. More
Was given a very fair price on my trade and good price on a low mileage, older truck. Marks' team had some repair work to do the truck before I test drove and did the deal and it all worked out. Everyone was a low mileage, older truck. Marks' team had some repair work to do the truck before I test drove and did the deal and it all worked out. Everyone was friendly, easy to deal with and allowed me plenty of time to inspect the truck myself and make a decision. I see a lot of poor reviews here. Folks, these are USED vehicles. Research and look them over carefully! I know what I bought and what to expect. I don't even know what to say to the snowflakes who felt strongarmed. My experience was friendly, easy-going and very accommodating. I could have walked away on pleasant terms at any time. As it turns out, I am extremely happy with my choice. Love the new truck! More
I bought a 2015 ram 3500 , bad tranny , egr cooler , ujoints , front hub assemblies , rear brakes and rotors , and to top it off they sold me the truck with open recalls , I even had my daughter with me ujoints , front hub assemblies , rear brakes and rotors , and to top it off they sold me the truck with open recalls , I even had my daughter with me when I bought the truck . I am not a mechanic just bc I say I like the truck doesn't mean I know there are things wrong with it and that you shouldn't look it over , I will never buy a truck or recommend anyone to from you guys , anyone who did get a good truck just look at it as you got lucky . It took me a little bit to write this as I really did want to like this place BUT with that being said I bought a 2016 ram that within 35mins of driving the check engine light comes on and happens to be want to like this place BUT with that being said I bought a 2016 ram that within 35mins of driving the check engine light comes on and happens to be the Tourge solenoid circuit. Called them back immediately was told to drop it back off! Did that then was told it was covered under warranty so sent it to someone they worked with just to be told it was not covered under warranty! There is no way after driving this truck for so little that they did not know about the issue I will NEVER recommend this place an will tell everyone to stay clear! More
Purchased a used vehicle which I feel was a fair price on a Friday night. The salesman / business Mgr was trying to rush me to get this paid for asap and run around to my bank to get all the paperwork sign a Friday night. The salesman / business Mgr was trying to rush me to get this paid for asap and run around to my bank to get all the paperwork signed. I took a day off on a Monday and did this. As soon as this was completed I was told the title wasn’t in. I had to wait over a week and a half to get the title. I would inquire on the status or ship date of the tile and was told to “stop calling”. I did speak with the GM who was very polite and made some arraignments of the title was going to be any longer. I was happy faster speaking with the GM. The day I was finally able to pick up the vehicle, the salesman quickly put the plates on with the wrong screws and stripped out the rear license plate mounting holes and I explained to him that the gas light was on and the dash said 0 miles to empty. The salesman shrugged his shoulders and went back in the dealership. I left and fueled the vehicle which too 15.5 gallons on a 16 gallon tank size. I was always told it was the little things that matter. This place will sell you a nice used car for a fair price, but will careless about you once they get their money. More
Long story short: fast talking people who use strongarm tactics to push a sale and will not allow you to take a car in for inspection prior to sale. I would not recommend them because they do not stand beh tactics to push a sale and will not allow you to take a car in for inspection prior to sale. I would not recommend them because they do not stand behind the vehicles they sell when they have major problems. I bought a used Tacoma in Jan 2022. Prices were outrageous because of COVID, so I looked all over NE for a reasonably priced used truck. Finally settled on Mark’s. I put a deposit down on the truck because the price was good and I didn't want it sold out from under me before I could get there. Imagine my frustration and annoyance then when I arrived at their dealership at the end of my 3 hour drive only to find that they had a couple actively looking at the truck and trying to make an offer on it. Imagine how much it further frustrated and annoyed me when the guy who was working on the sale with me kept referring to the fact that "That guy sure was pissed that you're taking his truck, he really wanted that truck.” That should have been my red flag to walk out, but I had 3 adults sharing 1 car and I needed another set of wheels affordably ASAP, so I pushed ahead. My mistake. I had asked if I could have the car inspected to make sure all systems were working optimally before buying. They told me no, I was not allowed to take the car off the lot for an inspection but I COULD have a mechanic come to the lot and inspect it. But it was January, I was trying to make a purchase on a truck that was going to sell right away at the price point for which it was listed, and it was still pandemic conditions so I couldn’t get anyone. Dealership started pulling the “this is gonna sell and we won’t hold it more than a day or two with the deposit” schtick ($500 deposit, by the way) . Moreover, it was the coldest time of year, so things like the A/C system simply cannot be tested because of course the blowers are going to push cold air: it's 10° outside! I did my best as a non-mechanic to check the truck over. It wasn't in *perfect* condition, but it was a used truck with about 60,000 miles on it, and the price was decent for COVID times. The 4 wheel drive immediately had an issue. No problem, they said they would fix that that it was simply an impeller or something of that nature that was stopping the drive from engaging. Another red flag I probably should have walked away from, but they took care of it at no cost to me which seemed reasonable and fair, so I proceeded. I get the truck home and within a week one of the people driving it tells me that when putting it in gear, it stalls out and they have to turn it off and then on again. I take it to my local repair shop, they can't reproduce the problem, don't know what to tell me. I haven't encountered the problem myself but I don't drive it often. First hot day of the summer, I go to turn the A/C on and it just blows hot air: 5mins, 15mins, 30mins. Never cools off. So I take it to the shop. Turns out the compressor is shot and has to be replaced which is going to cost me about $1500 all said and done. So I call up Mark's Discount and talk with the guy who sold it to me and he quotes me New Hampshire law that basically says "we sell as is, this is your problem to fix." When I was purchasing the truck, the general manager of the company gave me his number and said to reach out to him if I had any problems. So I text him twice about this and call and leave him a message: no response at all. None. Silence. So! What do I conclude from this? Well...I guess that used car salesmen have a reputation that is well-earned if Mark's Discount is any indicator. Oh! One more fun little flavor piece: while I was there working on buying the car--a process that took hours--there was a young lady who came in to make a purchase herself I made pleasant conversation with her simply because we were both being held hostage by Mark’s Discount taking a long time to process our purchases. When she was called away by her sales rep, the guy working with me leans over and goes "You like that huh?" and gestures to the woman. Then he said something to the effect of "You like bigger girls, huh?" I just gave him a very blank, rather disgusted look. He continued to lay it on heavy trying to suggest I was sexually pursuing this young woman in some way because I chatted with her politely. Gross. Additionally, when I test drove cars at all the other places I looked at, I was allowed to test drive BY MYSELF. At Mark's, the sales guy jumped in the truck with me. I probably could have been like "Dude, get the xxxx out of the truck, I'm going for a test drive", but it was a situation where I didn't want to be perceived as rude so I allowed it to happen. Never again. From now on, I am going to be as pushy and aggressive with car people as they are with me and if they don't like it, I'll go buy from another dealership. Really disgusted and furious with this dealership. 0/5 stars. P.S. I'm reviewing text history from the sales guy: he said it was a "very clean truck". It certainly is uncontaminated by any refrigerant in the A/C lines. >:((( More
I bought a truck in 2020. Everything seemed pretty good good price and all. Then I went to get an inspection sticker failed because of rotten rocket panels and cab corners. Everything seemed pretty good good price and all. Then I went to get an inspection sticker failed because of rotten rocket panels and cab corners. I went back to Mark's they put an inspection sticker on it and told me they would fix it for $1500 which seemed pretty good deal since I was given a quote for $3000 plus at other auto repair companys. After many unanswered phone calls I spoke with management was told to bring it they apologized and said they should not of sold it without disclosing the fact it had rotten rocker panels . I was told the body repair worker was I'll and to call in a few weeks. Again left unanswered messages finally spoke to someone again told to I bring it back again they said they could not fix until they got parts for it they told me that parts where not available. After several more attempts to contact them they kept telling me they would do it but the parts where not available. I eventually looked up the parts on line found them easily purchased them and had a friend install them. I believe they should at least pay for my parts after they promised it would be done and they dodged my phone calls and also put a sticker on it when it would have failed elsewhere. More
Patrick was excellent as a salesman. However, the owner would not give me a valid number on my trade in forcing me to go elsewhere. A dealership met my numbers and I bought from them.
