I have been highly satisfied with all the service work at Mark Jacobson and particularly pleased with their courtesy throughout. We purchased our Corolla from Mark Jacobson Toyota four years ago. Since that time we have consistently had our maintenance work from the dealership. It is a long ride from our home and sometimes hard to years ago. Since that time we have consistently had our maintenance work from the dealership. It is a long ride from our home and sometimes hard to get to because of my hectic schedule. The great thing is that I can stop by at the last minute as my schedule permits. Mark Jacobson service department has lengthy hours and has always accommodated me without an appointment. I've never had a long wait for my car, even when a repair was needed! Now about the work -- Mark Jacobson service staff is knowledgeable, responsive, and very honest. I have never had to worry about being taken advantage of or about condescending behavior. Bottom line: When they recommend a repair, they always tell me truthfully whether it needs to be done that day, or whether it can wait until a later date. This confidence means one less thing I have to worry about. I trust these folks -- and believe me, I am one tough customer! Thank you, Mark Jacobson Toyota. More
We are very disappointed with Mark Jacobson Toyota. The bottom line is that they are refusing to honor the lifetime powertrain warranty that comes with their preowned cars. Our new (to us) Corolla, purcha bottom line is that they are refusing to honor the lifetime powertrain warranty that comes with their preowned cars. Our new (to us) Corolla, purchased from Mark Jacobson, requires an over $6000 repair. We are only two-years into owning the car, we have completed all recommended and routine maintenance, have only had our car serviced at Mark Jacobson, and also purchased the extended warranty when we purchased the car (from Mark Jacobson). Less than a month ago the car was in for routine maintenance and was given a "clean bill of health." Now that the car has suffered a major breakdown, they are stating that the warranty cannot be honored, that this is out of their control, and that there is nothing they can do to help. We have asked to see a reason for the refusal in writing, and have been told they cannot provide this. The reasons for denial (all given verbally) have ranged from driving the car when it made a noise (on our way to have it checked out, and there is no wording in the warranty addresses this), driving the car with indicator lights (there were no indicator lights), and that the extended warranty has expired (simply incorrect). We are still hoping that Mark Jacobson will come through and honor their end of the agreement, and will certainly update our review if the service improves. Bottom line, the car needs a very expensive repair, and they are unwilling to stand behind their product (both the car and the warranty). We highly recommend finding another dealership More
Very unhappy with my last visit to the service department. Had a 3 hour wait for 2 tires to get patched. After my car was fixed, the tech didn't call me because he went to lunch. So I waited a department. Had a 3 hour wait for 2 tires to get patched. After my car was fixed, the tech didn't call me because he went to lunch. So I waited an extra 30 minutes. They act like no one else have jobs they have to get to. DON'T GO HERE. More

My wife and I recently survived the tornados in Tennessee and a grueling drive back through the North Carolina mountains... When we returned my wife who is the primary driver of the car noticed a high whinin and a grueling drive back through the North Carolina mountains... When we returned my wife who is the primary driver of the car noticed a high whining sound from the car... She is a professor in the UNC in Chapel Hill. Not having enough time she tasked me to get her car into the shop. This I did without an appointment... turns out that the water pump was blown and the belts nearly shot after 70K miles of effort and a major drive to stay out of a funel cloud. Within two hours from "drive-in" I was on my way. The service staff especially Randy Pettiford did an amazing job of getting the car into the shop and solving the problems immediately. I have never had such great service. More
Mr. Caldwell had a great personality and one I will definitely not forget. There is something missing in today's society and it is called "true customer service and pride in what you do." The service department team is very friendly and professional. Each member I've interacted with has shown me that they really enjoy what they do. In January, while waiting to get my car serviced, I decided to take a look at the new 2012 Camry. As I was just about to open the driver's door, I heard a voice say, "would you like the keys to your new car". I turned to see who was speaking and was greeted by Edwin Caldwell. He said "you can take one home with you today". I said "where are the keys". From that point forward, I knew I would work with him. He has a wonderful sense of humor, not to mention the friendly conversation we had. Edwin, keep up the great work!!! Angel More
The service department installed a faulty ECM on my 2007 Matrix because the original left me stranded in the left lane on I-85... a dangerous situation only to have it start indicating false messages to the Matrix because the original left me stranded in the left lane on I-85... a dangerous situation only to have it start indicating false messages to the "check engine" light. MJT said it was not the ECM but a faulty gas cap and charged $117 to "diagnose" the problem and replace the gas cap. Well, it didn't work and the CE light continued to go on showing the same code. The service manager lied to me and said the new ECM was already out of warranty because a changed out part only has a one year guarantee. In reality, a part replaced under warranty picks up the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty which, in this case is 7 years or 80,000 miles per NC law. When I challenged the SM on the validity of his statement he told me to take my car elsewhere for service. I have filed a complaint with Toyota but, as is their custom, they have, after two weeks, failed to accomplish anything and continue to promise return phone calls that never come. I should have checked the ratings for this dealership before I purchased there. My bad! I hope others don't make the same mistake. Toyota dealers are a dime a dozen and you have many choices. I dumped the Matrix and bought a Honda CRV. More
