I bought my Acura MDX from this dealership in September. They have been super nice and the experience was great. They have great prices, there's no haggling, they inspect these cars better than any dealersh They have been super nice and the experience was great. They have great prices, there's no haggling, they inspect these cars better than any dealership I've ever been to (including certified used cars, these cars are better than the certified used Acura's I looked at before buying mine). Tony really knows his stuff. A great place! Buy from here! More
Manny's Auto is the WORST place I have ever done business. I recently purchased a 2006 BMW and spent $20k on a vehicle I was told is road ready, passes inspection, had been gone over thoroughly prio business. I recently purchased a 2006 BMW and spent $20k on a vehicle I was told is road ready, passes inspection, had been gone over thoroughly prior to being put on the lot, and had a clean car fax. When spending $20k I expect that the car is in condition to drive off the lot and register. I signed a contract stating that the car passes inspection and if it does not Manny’s Auto will repair the necessary items at their cost. I came from out of state to purchase this vehicle. I cannot warn you enough, BE CAREFUL dealing with this place. Tony told me whatever he thought I wanted to hear. He told me the brakes were new, upon attempting to get it inspected, I was told they were all bad and needed to be replaced in addition to needing new rotors and new tie rods totaling about a $1000.00. Upon telling Tony that my car FAILED inspection for multiple reasons, Tony told me not to worry, that he would pay for the items to be repaired. He wanted me to register the car (and in turn pay the $1000+ sales tax) and to then get an official "rejection report" from the inspection. I later found out there is no such thing as an official “rejection report”. After telling Tony this information, he then told me that he does not believe the mechanic that failed my inspection and that he will not fix my car just because a mechanic says it needs to be fixed. He called the mechanic a liar and said that the mechanic was trying to scam me. Tony called me again that day to tell me he decided to call the DMV and made an appointment with the head of the inspection department to have him look at my car and for his ruling to be the say all end all on this issue. I got ANOTHER phone call immediately after he informed me of this impromptu inspection, telling me that he was cancelling the inspection because I live out of state he doesn’t technically need to fix my car and therefore the inspection is pointless. He claims the car would pass inspection in Massachusetts but he doesn’t have to fix it because it is for state law outside of Massachusetts. (Brake pads leave very little room for interpretation of needing replacement. Furthermore Massachusetts wouldn’t pass for a broken tie rod.) He called me for the 5th time that day to tell me that I can bring the car back down to his shop (a 2 hour drive) to have his mechanic fix it or if I am not happy with it then he would buy the car back from me because he has so many people that are interested in buying the car. I told him I wanted it in writing that he agrees to pay to fix my car, and he said he would not do that. He firmly stated that he would not put the agreement in writing. Therefore, I told him he could buy it back from me and that I no longer would like to do business with him. Later that evening I informed him I would be bringing the car back to return and expected my money returned in full due to his breach of contract. He said he needed to take the fees out of the balance. When I asked what fees??? Tony said to me "You can’t expect just to take the car for a week and not pay. You don’t rent a car for a week and not pay a rental fee, right?" I told him to email me the "imaginary fees" he was created and although he agreed to do so, never did. I was livid. He is a snake and ready to rip you off at any cost. Furthermore before purchasing the car, he told me the car didn’t have a spare tire because the car was equipped with run flat tires - upon recently getting a flat tire I found out they are not run flats. Another lie. After all of this nonsense, I insisted on talking to a manager or boss and over the span of five minutes he refused to give me his name. After finally getting Tony to tell me his bosses' name he said he will not give me the number and refused to do so. I have never done business with someone so unprofessional and slimy in my life. Because he had gone back on his word so many times and had lied to me countless times, I did not want his mechanic or anyone else at Manny’s Auto to touch my car ever again. I am now out another $1000 to repair my car and I forewarn anyone out there DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MANNYS AUTO SALES!!!! Pay the little extra and go down the road to an honest and professional dealer. If I can deter one person from doing business here this post was well worth it. Do not pay TONY at Manny’s Auto Sales and reward him for being a dirtbag. More
