I had a terrible experience every step of the way. On Monday when I got to the service department, they were not expecting me and seemed to be confused on why I was there. At 10am the Salesman that I worked with on Saturday came over and told me that none of the parts needed were there and that I would have to come back another day. I am not sure why it took 2 hours to discover this issue. 3 weeks later I had not received any calls or status updates on the parts so I called and asked for an update, I was told they would get back to me that afternoon, they did not call me. The next day I went to the DMV to try and register the vehicle and was told the dealership had not completed their side of the paperwork. I decided to just drive the 40 minutes to the dealership to see if I could get an update in person. When I got there, I was directed to the service department that after 20 minutes told me they had all the parts in, and he didn’t know how long they had been there. The salesman that I had worked with saw me while I was walking out and told me that he was just about to call because all my parts were in, who knows when I would have been told had I not driven up there. I signed more paperwork to help with my registration. My temporary registration was expiring Tuesday this week so I reached out to see what the status was, and I was told that it would be done on Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I was told I would now have to go somewhere else to get it or that I could get it from Malcom Cunningham on Wednesday morning and they would call, at almost 3 pm I was called and told there was a mistake and they would fix it but it would be way later before I could get my registration. Everyone I have interacted with at Malcom Cunningham I expressed my frustration and poor experience, and only one person seemed to care or even apologized for my experience. This whole process has been my worst car buying experience, communication was very poor, I will not return, and I would recommend everyone else avoid Malcom Cunningham. More
I recently had the pleasure of working with Michael and Q at Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet, and I cannot recommend them enough! They made the entire car-buying experience enjoyable and stress-free for both my at Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet, and I cannot recommend them enough! They made the entire car-buying experience enjoyable and stress-free for both my daughter and me. Their kindness and genuine approach set them apart from anyone we've dealt with at other dealerships. Michael and Q gave us their full attention, patiently answering all our questions, and allowed us the time we needed to make the right decisions. Their dedication to customer service is something other dealerships should take note of. Thank you, Michael and Q, for making our car-buying experience so positive! More
I purchased a used car from this dealership that required a number recall repairs and software updates. They agreed not to process the paperwork and pre-approval check in the amount of the loan until the ca a number recall repairs and software updates. They agreed not to process the paperwork and pre-approval check in the amount of the loan until the car was delivered and I could back out of the deal at anytime. While was willing to wait for awhile because I didn't need the car until August 10th I found out from the Cadillac dealer doing the repairs that the car would not be completed until August 19th or later due to a backorder on the part. However, Malcolm Cunningham Chevy were not true to there word and processed the check to my bank thus activating my loan on July 26th and I have no vehicle. This prevented me from potentially pursuing an alternative vehicle with them or another dealership. What really upsets me is the General Manager and others has plenty of opportunities to let me know they had taken this action. When called to cancel the deal and have the check returned to my bank. Instead they led me to believe backing out was still on the table and let me make over 14 hours of driving to pickup the check. Knowing that was not an option. I have very serious Job and in my line of work and don't have time to be wasted on things like this. Intentional or unintentional transparence, effective communication is a shared responsibility between the customer and the dealership. I own my errors in this transaction and only expect Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet on theirs and take accountability for there role in wasting my time and effort to close the deal in good faith or the perception suggests this dealership is not true their word, poorly managed.and is not customer friendly. It is very unfortunate that this failed process puts a disstain in heart for an other wise good experience I had with Erica my sales rep and and the used car manager. It's often asked in my line of work of an employee, would hire them again. In most cases it yes. In this case would ever buy a car from a Malcom Cunningham dealership the answer is no. Trust and confidence means everything to me. I don't trust or have confidence in the leaders of this dealership and hurt inside that some good people must associate their name with this organization. Everyone has a choice of dealerships, I chose wrong for the first time and regret it. I recommend to any customer to stay away from Malcom Cunningham dealerships. There are much better dealerships to chose from. More
Absolute garbage dealership. Charged us for a service plan without even seeing the price or signing the contract. I called and told them to cancel and refund the money, we were Charged us for a service plan without even seeing the price or signing the contract. I called and told them to cancel and refund the money, we were told to contact the warranty company and the warranty company told us to contact the dealer. So I brought the UNSIGNED contract to Darren in finance who said that we DID sign the contract and that they wouldn’t sign us up without having signed it. So I asked for them to pull up their copy and Darren said that they don’t have to have a copy. I had the only contract and it was never signed.Darren was the absolute worst employee I’ve ever seen and wouldn’t do anything until I had to tell him how useless he was and finally talked to the manager who tried to refund me 1/4th of the money they’d taken. Only once I brought up bringing the unsigned contract to the state attorney generals office did they finally return the full amount. Absolute garbage, stay clear. More

The buying experience wasn't bad at all. That went really well. But the service department experience has easily been the worst I have ever seen. This is really disappointing as I spent addi That went really well. But the service department experience has easily been the worst I have ever seen. This is really disappointing as I spent additional money when purchasing the car buying a service plan with the dealership. The service department here held my brand new 2023 Tahoe hostage for two months while they resolved a known drain line issue. I called them weekly while they had my car. They kept telling me they would call with updates and that my car would be ready next week or tomorrow. This kept going on for about two months until I started contacting corporate Chevy's customer relations department and Malcom Cunningham's staff complaining. I was finally able to pick up my vehicle. They never offered so much as a loaner vehicle to use while they had my car or any form of compensation. I'm just out $2,400 in car payments without being able to use my car. More
If I could give negative stars I would. I brought my car in on 3/24/23 due to an engine light indicator that came on and because I’ve trusted MCC with my car since I purchased it used in 2 I brought my car in on 3/24/23 due to an engine light indicator that came on and because I’ve trusted MCC with my car since I purchased it used in 2020 I was confident I was in good hands. Well to my disappointment, the service I received has literally depleted my confidence in their ability to offer quality service to customers who choose patronize. On 3/24/22, I had at 8:20a appointment. I hadn’t heard from them by 12:30 so I called to get an update and hopefully a diagnosis for my vehicle. The service technician(ST) who took my car was lunch and I was assured that he would call me back with he returned. At 2:30p I received another call telling me that the technician would be calling me back with details about my car shortly. At 3p the ST called me back stating the my car needed a “DC/DC converter” and that it would cost me $615.00. I asked did he run a full diagnostic and if there was anything else that needed me attention. He assured me that this would remedy the situation. Specifically, I asked about the battery. He said the battery was fine. I asked him to proceed with the service because I had to turn in my rental by tomorrow morning and I would like to pick up my car today. By 5p my car was ready. I paid and left at around 5:45p. Over the next 2 days, I drove me car an average of 3 hours. On Friday night to a local bar, on Saturday to Target and Sunday to exit 114 to meet someone. On my way back home Sunday, 3/25 before making it to exit 65 my engine light begins to flash and my car begins to “jerk”. Immediately I pull over and look in my car’s manual. It pretty much said I had to park because my car could experience “irreversible damage” if I continued. I contacted my insurance company and unfortunately had to wait 4.5 hours on the side of I-20 during a horrible thunderstorm for a tow truck to pick me and my car up. I had the car towed to MCC and yes I was pissed. Monday, 3/27 after dropping my kids off at school off in a borrowed car, I went to the dealership to give them keys to fix my car. Because obviously that didn’t happen 2 days and $600 ago. Well I get a call from the ST telling me “I need to purchase a battery before they could tell me what’s wrong because the diagnostic machine can’t read a car with a dead battery.” I’m confused and pissed because literally just asked you about the battery on Friday. Per my request the service manager(SM) was placed on the call and after he rushed me through my explanation he essentially called me a “nag” using a comparison to his wife and 3 daughters he agreed to pay for the battery. Then I got a call at 5:50p from the ST telling me I needed additional $1100 worth of parts and service for my car. On Tuesday, 3/28/2023 I went down the service department at MCC, to meet with the SM who took the cost down from the initial $1100 and thanked me for “being reasonable.” Realistically, I was just tired and couldn’t understand why this was even a conversation to be had. Your team’s screw up but now it’s my financial obligation. I went to pick my car up on Saturday, 4/1 and paid them the agreed upon rate. I looked at my key fob and it was broken. I took my complaint to the front desk where I request to have the GM contact me today (4/3). I haven’t hear from him yet. The ST, tells me it’s my key fob and used to it crank and back my car up to the bay’s door. I go to my car, aggravated, and THE CAR DOES NOT CRANK! I try it again and THE CAR DOES NOT CRANK. I lose my cool because obviously I’m pissed. I cussed everyone out in sight. They said my car was out of gas. 1. My car has been here for over a week 2. I’ve paid over $1500 in the past week for their screw up. 3. My key fob is broken. 4. My secondary vehicle is more than 2 hours away and I’m inconvenienced an additional 9 hours after being on the side of the interstate for 4.5 hours 5. I’ve been late to work 3 days in the past week. But they put gas in it. 🙄 More
Sold me a lemon titled truck and did not tell me about it seven years ago. I went to trade it back to them and they would only give me 5000.00 trade in. This is my 2nd review on my experience with malcolm Cunningham. I would not recommend the used car department. I was referred by a friend who had a previous experience with the new department and i w Cunningham. I would not recommend the used car department. I was referred by a friend who had a previous experience with the new department and i wish i would have worked with the person she recommended .I purchased a vehicle on Jan 23 and I am extremely dissatisfied.. I should have trusted my instinct and backed out but i decided to continie to move forward with the purchase. After my purchase on Jan 23 the check engine light is now on. Which is less than 30 days. I feel they were only concerned with pushing me into a car versus the experience. They have not fixed the cracked windshield after 3 attempts and stopping by the office after promises to fix the windshield.. the autostart was supposed to be reset and it has been left unresolved. At this point I don't think the financed amount was worth the car I was sold. I was told I couldn't get the car I wanted due to it being more fees than they wanted to pay. It saddens me that these dealers bamboozle innocent customers just to make a sale especially when the customer is in need. Times are hard for us all and I should not have had to settle for a unreliable vehicle only for the satisfaction of a sale. More
