Don't waste your time Total waste of time and effort. Had a decent price arranged on a new purchase after days of back and forth. Maita was going to get the car from another dealer but waited a couple of days and then the car was already sold. I then had to find the car at several other dealers in bay area. Maita said they would not swap with several of those dealers but could with one. A few more days go by and then Sergey calls me again but wants to increase the price - I say no. We already had a agreed on price. I ended up buying the car from Shingle Springs who found the car for me in Carson City. The whole thing took less than 24 hours and was painless at Shingle Springs. Maita might as well be doing business in the automall. More

Working with their Internet Sales team, I met Zach during my lunch, who was great and then, when I came back that evening, Larry put off going to dinner so he could help me. I found exactly what I wanted and it was a great value. (Note that, if you first contact them through their internet department on their website, there is, frequently, an "internet discount" and that saved me a fat chunk of money. I don't think Larry ever got to dinner but we had a truly great time. I've never said this about a car buying experience but I truly made some new friends. I'm loving this car and will be going back at Larry's invitation so that he can make sure that I found all of the amazing features of this technological marvel. Thank you for the very best car buying experience of my life and I'm 68! This is my first Subaru and I thought that the motto "Love. It's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru." was a bit corny but these guys absolutely enjoy what they do and the people they meet. Wanta feel special AND get a great deal? Go see Maita Subaru in Sacramento. Poor Diagnostic Services Initially, we were very impressed this dealership. We are on a LONG road trip, Our car had been overheating coming down the I-5 from Oregon in 100 deg Initially, we were very impressed this dealership. We are on a LONG road trip, Our car had been overheating coming down the I-5 from Oregon in 100 degree + heat. We called while on the road and explained the situation and were told that though they were in the middle of a recall servicing back-log, they would look at our car first thing in the morning and let us know what they found to be the problem causing the overheating. The next morning after arriving, they took down some notes about our car trouble situation, got our car in the back, and went right to work. HERE is where we ran into trouble. They decided to run two tests on the cooling system. First, they pressurized the cooling system to see if there were any leaks. They found none and told us it passed the pressure test with no problems. Then they conducted what is called a "block test" which checks for exhaust gas leaking into the cooling system, usually due to a failed head gasket(s). They came back to us and told us our car had failed this test, that we had significant exhaust gas content in our cooling fluids, and that from this result, they suspected at least one blown head gasket, possible two. They wouldn't know for sure, however, until they tore it down, and that they would need about two weeks to get it done. They informed us that it would cost far more than the car was worth ($5500.00 for the repair) and that they suggested purchasing another vehicle. We were then put in touch with a sales rep for a new used car, and not feeling like we had many options, we explored this avenue of action. Eventually, unable to make a new car deal we both were happy with, we asked them to just finish putting our car back the way they found it, and we would be on our way After talking to our Subaru mechanic back in Alaska, we decided to try and make it to a friend's house in San Francisco, and get a non-dealership mechanic to look at the cooling system for a second opinion. We made it to San Fran just fine, and had it in "Pat's Garage" the next morning. First he took the car out and drove it, getting it hot and up to engine temp. Then he put it on the rack and did his own pressure test. IT FAILED THIS TEST! It was found that we had a serious leak in a lower radiator hose that was hard to see and did not drip underneath due to its proximity to the heat of the engine block. So, while it is possible that the hose failed between Sacramento and San Francisco (82 miles), we don't think it is likely due to the next test, the BLOCK TEST. It had failed this test at Maita Subaru in Sacramento, but it passed with flying colors at PAT's Garage, and no exhaust gases were detected in the coolant, so no blown head gasket was suspected. Pat's guys suggested a new set of hoses all around, a new radiator, and a new thermostat. All these parts were still the original factory parts and were in need of replacement. So, we went with that. LONG STORY SHORT! We are now in New York, having driven across the Southwest states and Texas and all the way up the Appalachians to Rochester. The cooling system performed flawlessly. We have had NO ISSUES whatsoever! So, to say the least, this situation reflects poorly on the Maita dealership, and I would be VERY careful of having service done at this location if I were advising friends in the area (which I am). More
