Purchased a 2022 Odyssey on 06/29. Pretty disappointed with sales staff. A non-negotiable 5% mark-up on MSRP because of low inventory due to supply chain disruption. Could not take delivery on 06/ with sales staff. A non-negotiable 5% mark-up on MSRP because of low inventory due to supply chain disruption. Could not take delivery on 06/29 as the vehicle was enroute to the dealer with delivery scheduled for 07/03. That date has now slipped to 07/07. Dealer staff failed to communicate this change. Only found out on 04/04 after I had to call them! So, now I've paid for a non-existent car. I'm insuring a non-existent car. But I don't have the car because it doesn't exist to me!! Now I'm left without recourse, save for waiting on the whim of Honda. Definitely not a pleasant buying experience. With all of this though, I doubt that one could find a much better deal elsewhere. When it's a sellers market, the consume pays the price. They were very nice though. 07/06/2021 - Update Received a cal from Bruce today. He helped to mitigate the issues noted above. He also said that my Odyssey deliver date has been pushed back to 06/10/2021! I know this is beyond the control of Maita. It does not reflect well on Honda America though. I suppose this is what it's like to buy a car in post pandemic America. More
