I took my 2018 F150 in for the state inspection and because the check engine light was on. The inspection couldn’t be done because the check engine light was on. The next day i was told that the EGR because the check engine light was on. The inspection couldn’t be done because the check engine light was on. The next day i was told that the EGR valve was stuck open and would have to be replaced. I was quoted a price of $869 (my cost) for the repairs. I have the Ford Continued Warranty with a $500 deductible. I was told that the extra was for labor and shop supplies that the warranty wouldn’t cover. No details were given. Since this is my only vehicle, and I needed it back, I paid the full amount, but the next day I called to speak to the service manager to get a clear explanation of specifically what was included in the almost $400 I had to pay above the deductible. The service manager was unavailable, so I left a message and requested a call back. I still have not received a call back. I would still like to know. More
